Don't you worry your pretty little head about where those crocs are, young man....they'll be along in due time. They manage to overindulge during this time. If you look carefully, you'll notice that the river is home to many a gigantic crocodiles and we all know they didn't grow to such proportions on "missed opportunities." An observation: It wasn't too long ago that these epic annual migrations began and ended with predation, accidental deaths, near misses and other scenes being played out virtually unseen by all but the hardiest "tourists." Now, going "on safari" is a huge "attraction" and large sums of money change hands every season. The animals, predator and prey alike, are now being filmed from every direction and are, in some cases, learning how to use the seemingly neverending, camera happy safari-goer to their advantage! It feels, to me, that humans continue to exploit every single possible situation. Humanity does l it has always done. Those with pockets of money pay for the ultimate reward.....an authentic lion rug with the head still attached, carefully carved items from real ivory tusks (what difference an elephant was killed, only for the tusks)! People want what they want and, with money, they can afford to buy it! No matter that animals are being sought out and killed....until another species is being decimated! THIS MUST STOP!!!

No! By Late January and early February, pregnant wildebeest are giving birth. It is estimated that during the peak of this birthing season, an astonishing 8,000 calves are born each day! And this happen annually..
