I liked the song and it has a very catchy melody - the audience really enjoyed it - the lead singer looked a bit trussed up in that golden catsuit like his crown jewels were getting mangled

Just watched it again and think the jumpsuit ripped and he knew it, tried covering it up but was too late. That’s why it looked like he was messing around quite a lot, shame.

@@krunoslavkovacec1842 it’s not pre-recorded vocals, it’s backing vocals from the other band members. you can’t have pre-recorded vocals for the whole song.
During Eurovision in Concert, they dedicated this song to their friend who had passed away days before the performance. It really gave the song a new meaning, one that really touched me. You might have NQ'ed Ireland but 12 points from me!

It gives me no great pleasure but I will help you anyway - The song is mediocre, horrible horrible outfit, he looked scared at the beginning, wasn't even singing his part for half of the song and his choreography looked improvised. In short, the performance was amateurish, the vocals were barely there and the song itself was meh.

I watched last night and this song in my opinion had Hit DNA running through it and saw it as an obvious final song , if not the winning song .So when I got up this morning and saw that they hadn't made the cut , I was absolutely gobsmacked . The only reasons I can think of that could possibly have influenced serious music lovers was the fact that Ireland have won the most amount of times and a possible U2 similarity of style.

The last straw was when a house we tried to rent in Galway (after four years of searching for a home) was given to a newly arrived Ukrainian family with a healthy young conscription dodging husband and three kids in tow. The needs of a country we have no ties to and it’s people was suddenly more important than native Irish homeless people. Even wealthy Ukrainians moved here and immediately got dole they don’t need. We had to emigrate and we are paying 1000€ a month rent on Airbnb. I’m sorry for the brave souls left behind. But glad you are so happy.

Much love for all the love in the comments, but im Irish, and we knew this generic "we are the world" theme was NEVER going to get to the next stage, and that's ok.. Plus after the singer had a TERRIBLE attitude afterwards, throwing a child like tantrum because he thought he was deserving of more. Well, I watched the whole show, and he wasn't deserving of anything in comparison to those who made it through.. Cant wait for tonight's show💚💚💚 🎉🎉🎉

The singer is unambitious and does not know how to dress. If he had a stylist then the stylist must be fired and sent where the sun never shines.
His clothes are the only shiny thing about this performance

I'm Irish, and a huge fan of Eurovision. I can totally see why this didn't this didn't make it to the final. It wasn't good enough. Simple as that!

Brilliant performance
You know, it's really overhated. The song is light-hearted and pleasant and his voice is good! It makes me feel happy! You did well, Wild Youth!
I seriously don’t know what else Ireland has to do to qualify in ESC, in 2019 they gave us a retro vibe, in 2020 they gave us an inspirational song, in 2021 they gave us an incredible staging and song, in 2022 they gave us a breakup anthem and now in 2023 they gave us a song with the meaning of diversity and being equal, they are so underrated.

In 2019, she couldn't sing and had a bad song. In 2020 it was cancelled. In 2021, she couldn't sing. In 2022, she had a mediocre song (and almost made it with the televoters!). In 2023, they had a ridiculously bland song and sang ridiculously bad. Maybe Ireland needs to start singing better. That would be a start. And then send better songs.

I agree with @eurovisionfan I kinda agree with @Jake S Yes, the song was bland. Not so much @Andy X I don't think I've seen 2019. Yep! No Eurovision 2020 due to covid. I think 2021 there were better songs, but still, she should have scraped through into the Final and 2022 should have been in the grand Final and won it as that grand Final seemed underwhelming overall. I think everyone is looking for a good Irish folk song by Ireland 🇮🇪 to be entered and it's not happened yet, hence why Ireland 🇮🇪 is not getting the votes.
