Llyn y Fan Fach is a beautiful lake that sits beneath the ridgeline of Bannau Sir Gae, sitting at an altitude of approx 510m. Tam tells a version of the story of The Lady of the Lake, some folklore connected with the lake. From the main car park it is about a mile and a half walk up to the lake, along a wide stony path with a slight incline which runs alongside a bustling river. This walk takes in some spectacular views and if you’re lucky you might spot a red kite soaring high above you.
