La sierra de Llaberia es un conjunto montañoso situado a caballo entre las comarcas del Priorat, Baix Camp y Ribera d'Ebre e integrado en la cordillera Prelitoral Catalana. La rodean las montañas de Prades al norte, la costa tarraconense al este, las cimas de Tivissa y Vandellòs al sur, el río Ebro y la cavidad del Priorat al oeste. Todos estos accidentes orográficos son visibles en días de tiempo sereno desde las cimas de la sierra, que rozan los 1.000 metros de altitud: la más alta, la cima de la Miranda, mide 918 metros.
El macizo está formado por la sierra de Llaberia propiamente dicha, la sierra de Montalt y la Mola de Colldejou. Presenta relieves escarpados, con grandes riscos y barrancos. La naturaleza caliza de sus rocas, ayudada por la acción continua del agua y el viento, originó la aparición de grutas, cuevas y simas.
El paisaje de la sierra es boscoso, con terrenos dedicados al cultivo en las partes bajas. Hay encinares salpicados de árboles caducifolios que le proporcionan una intensa coloración en otoño, aunque el elevado número de incendios que la región suele sufrir provocó la progresiva sustitución de estos bosques por otros de pino carrasco y por coscojales o brozas, cuyas especies predominantes son el romero y el brezo. A lo largo de los cursos fluviales se desarrolla también la vegetación de ribera.
La fauna más abundante la constituyen las aves y los anfibios. Entre las primeras destacan los pájaros carpinteros y las aves de rapiña, y entre las segundas, la rana verde y la salamandra. También se encuentran varios tipos de serpientes y de lagartos.

Riverside vegetation also develops along the river courses.
The most abundant fauna is made up of birds and amphibians. Among the former, the woodpeckers and birds of prey stand out, and among the latter, the green frog and the salamander. There are also various types of snakes and lizards.
