Wild Rice 2021 Field Research Description

Manoomin (wild rice) has declined in the waters of Northern Wisconsin. Collaborative efforts between Lac du Flambeau, GLIFWC, WDNR and UW Madison participants aim to improve understanding of early season rice growth dynamics and the long-term storage of viable rice seeds to support future stewardship efforts.
