Wild RC Monster Unleashed! Redcat KAIJU 1:8 Scale MT Brushless 6S Ready Monster Truck Overview

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Want to catch big air with your RC? Looking for explosive power? Want to blast through gnarly terrain? Redcat always has you covered when it comes to the right RC vehicle for the right job and to handle all of those needs is the new Redcat Kaiju. The Redcat KAIJU 1:8 Scale MT Brushless 6S Ready Monster Truck is built to handle big air jumps. It has long-travel suspension, huge aluminum shocks on each corner, captured rod ends, and aluminum hinge pin support plates. Everything you need for performance and durability! In the power department, the Kaiju has been outfitted with a Hobbywing 2100kv 4-ple motor and a 150A 3S-6S capable ESC. Want to run 4S or single or double packs? The battery mounting system can handle the most popular LiPo battery configurations. But wait, there’s more! To handle the gnarliest terrain, the Kaiju features a high ground clearance chassis to get over the rough and large lug tires to bite into dirt and roost it into the air. This RC Truck is truely action-packed! Topping off the Kaiju is a stunning bright blue body, decaled from the factory, and for that extra styling factor, LED lights to come installed in the front and rear of this beast. The Redcat Kaiju is the RC Truck you've been waiting for!

    ...several years later, I'm still buying parts for my Kaiju with a grin on my face. I've bought nearly every part at least once, and I just keep bashing. She's fun, she's squirrely, she's a rocket. Best basher RC I own, bar none. Thanks for a great rig!

    This a hell of an advertisement! Redcat has come SUCH a long way. My first rc was a Redcat Landslide, nitro. I got literally zero miles out of it because it fell apart everytime I glanced at it. Since then the Redcat durability has increased 100 fold and I can vouch for it. I'm buying this.

    @Adam Benson - maybe get both!? Great choice regardless. @Jonathan Unger - Sorry to hear you had some issues right away. The Landslide however; is normally a beast of a vehicle. Sadly you might have had an issue but not every model out there is going to break something in "1-2 rides". We have put that model to the test and can assure you they normally last a lot longer then that. Sometimes with RC cars "things just happen" and parts can break. But not always at the same time or doing the same thing. Case in point: facebook.com/RedcatRacing/videos/10156142105754684/

    I'm wondering about this frame.. I hope dont flex or break. Like some folks had issues with other trucks redcats made. Like landslide and torment 1/8 scale trucks. Only one I had was redcats earthquake 8e and was ok. But had issues with it either electronics/ reciever.. it all of sudden stop working. So I gave it away to someone. Got exceed madbeast brushless truck now. Wish had money buy another one or redcats gave one away like this truck. Lol! But frame I'd be mostly concerned about and if breaks between cold weather or flex jumping it and wreck other issues between bashing. Oh well !!

  • @RedcatracingAZ

    @RedcatracingAZ

    4 жыл бұрын

    Well plastic tends to deal with bashing a little better than aluminum. And the Landslide and Earthquake (while they are both great vehicles) have aluminum chassis. Once aluminum bends - it is hard to get it back to normal. Plastic chassis tend to "flex" a lot better on "basher" models. And as far as cold weather, crashes, and jumps - well - sometimes we get lucky and we think something should have broken and it didn't. Other times a simple summersault snaps off a control arm - barely doing 10 MPH. Just the way the hobby goes sometimes.

    At 2:37. That screw on top of the axal carrier. Is that what the steering pivots on? Looks weak.

  • @RedcatracingAZ

    @RedcatracingAZ

    4 жыл бұрын

    If you are talking about the one on top of the C-hub that goes down into the steering knuckle - then yes. At that time stamp you see the steering knuckle, steering link, and the C-hub. As well as the wheel hex and axle end. The screw on the time stamp you mentioned is where the knuckle pivots in the hub carrier. The screw on the right/center side of the screen that goes through the arm of the knuckle down through a turnbuckle then back into the bottom of the knuckle arm is where the steering link connects to. Technically both positions "pivot" when the vehicle is being "turned" - thus "steering" - in either direction. However; there is nothing in that set up that is "weak" for sure. The wall thickness of the plastic on all these components is fully capable of handling the bashing these things put up with.

    NO - it is a 4x4 - 98% of our models are. It has open diffs - so you may see a differentiation of power from time to time.

    Better than aluminum by far for bashing. Sadly EVERYONE uses plastic for the most part. So unless they are going to make a carbon fiber chassis they have no other option.

    I think Redcat should put their money where their mouth is and send this truck out right away to Kevin Talbot for proper testing or is Redcat just a scary-cat. Like if you agree👍👍👍

    The Kaiju is 100x better than this makes it look. Where are the backflips and big air in this comercial? My vids make it look more exciting and I'm just dinking around. This is a phenomenal machine and it sounds like you are selling a toaster or something. Get excited!!!!!
