@@Demidar, actually domesticated guinea pigs don't exist in the wild anymore. There are some related species that do, but Cavia porcellus (common guinea pigs) are only found in domestication.

@@noneya23 Yep. When I first adopted my two pet guinea pigs, they were so skiddish that they wouldn't even eat vegetables unless I went out of the room for a while. Whereas this "wild" (actually domesticated; you can tell by the fur, shorter and chubbier body, larger ears, and facial features) guinea pig just eats right out of the man's hand after being caught? I don't buy it. Also, The guinea pig's struggle when the man was trying to catch him doesn't prove that the guinea pig is wild, either, because almost all pet guinea pigs, even when bonded with their owners, hate the process of being picked up. Cavia aperea (Brazilian guinea pig) is the species of wild guinea pig. But the video shows Cavia porcellus, the domestic guinea pig. Wikipedia is cool.

My guinea pigs are outside 24h. I built a cage that they can eat the grass outside. They very happy have plenty space to run and for me they are my natural little mowers.

@@cobi7179 Nope. My cage is huge with proof roof for hawk and easy to move when they finish eat also their house has a heater and bed in each room. 10 x 12 and in the middle two barbie houses all wire to the top.

These don’t look like wild Guinea pigs. Rather definitely not one of the actual wild species (Cavia aperea or Cavia tschudii, etc.). In those wild species, the ears are erect. The ears looked lopped on domestic Guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus). These Guinea pigs have lopped ears and definitely have a much darker coloration than some actual wild species. Based on some comments I read, it’s possible these are FERAL domestic Guinea pigs. Domestic ones that have escaped into the wild and now live in the wild (like feral dogs, feral horses, feral hogs, etc.). I did also think this might be a hoax and that these are someone’s pets they purposely hid in the wild for the video, but I really doubt that now. I don’t want to accuse anyone of anything. I’m no expert on Guinea pigs, but in my opinion these don’t look like a true wild species of Guinea pig. Look more like feral ones. Which is still pretty neat/interesting!
