Wild Germany - The Beautiful World of Birds | Free Documentary Nature
Germany's Wild Birds - Rulers of the Air | Wildlife Documentary
Birds are truly universal and can be found almost everywhere on our planet!
By monitoring ten interesting bird-watching locations, we document not only the silver herons in the Westerwald, but also the last great bustards in Havelland. Then there are the great crested grebes in their splendid plumages, shown building their nests and during courtship, in an area of extinct volcanoes: the Eiffel.
Add to this, exotic wild birds and colorful parakeets, the newest members of the population in a park in Wiesbaden. We have resting migratory birds, ducks and waders on the west banks of the Steinhuder Lake.
On the border to the Netherlands, in the moorlands near Münster, we find the only wild flamingos in Germany. Equally interesting are the fire geese, avocets and many birds of the coastal region not far from Hamburg harbor.
At Federsee Lake in Upper Swabia, we observe the inhabitants of the extensive reed zones: bearded tits. Then we have the birds of fortune, the cranes, which interrupt their long journeys by resting on the Baltic coast. Last, but not least, in the Feldberg lake region we accompany the ranger on an exciting sea eagle excursion.
With this film, you are invited to experience a journey through the wonderful world of birds.

They conquer the space between earth and sky Germany’s wild birds. Humans have certainly tried to conquer the skies. Our man made birds aren’t quite as pretty. (A 2 min read with some very nice bird poetry) All have feathers, beaks, and they fly and so many different colors, shapes, sizes. Quite amazing really the variety of these feathery friends whove been around for millions of years. Today, we are in the natural reserves of the Westerwald Lake District and The Schalkenmehrener Maar - both famous for their bountiful bird life. A birdwatchers dream: the grey heron, eagles, bustards and other feathered friends local to the area, some that migrate for the spring and summer, arrive. Others are locals. One such natural reserve has a bird 🦅 lover guy, a park ranger. He takes bird lovers on his boat to special places to watch the birds. Eagle guy Fred Bohrmann. He loves his eagles. To attract the eagles, he pumps air into the fish so they float. Don’t worry. The fish are dead before he tosses them into the air so the eagles notice. It works. Quite a spectacular performance. Wildlife in the land that has inspired many of the famous romantic poets and writers throughout the centuries. One of my favorites by Joseph Freiherr Von Eichendorff Moon Night It was as if the sky The earth had quietly kissed, That she must dream of him, Alone, in flower-mist. Through fields there flew a breeze, Corn ears waved softly near, Low-rustled forest trees; The night was so star-clear. And then my soul outspread Her wings, wide and alone, Through silent lands she fled, As if she flew towards home. You need some calm and beauty and innocence in your world - watch Germany’s wild birds. Enjoy. Available worldwide except GAS

The narrator sounded very similar to Sean Bean and had me terrified that he would end up dying before the end of the documentary, fortunately his voice was just different enough to save him.

Germany has decimated most all of natures fish, birds, and animals. The ones that you did see in the making of this documentary are basically the last of their kind .! Supplemented feeding of those remaining are now the theme of the day in efforts to bring some of them back. Thank you Germany how be it to slow and to late.

Yes. I only know some of the names in German. In German it’s Löffelstrandläufer which means spoon beach runners translated verbatim. Funny no?
