Ms. Yvonne, look up the no till method! You lay cardboard down, then cover with mulch. The cardboard will suppress the weeds and the mulch on top will keep it neat and tidy till you are ready to plant. It beats the heck out of digging up weeds and grass!

This is how I've done all my landscaping and my large veggie garden. I collected the cardboard for free from FB marketplace and got the mulch for free from chipdrop. I cover it every 2 to 3 years. Minimal weeds and no chemicals.

It is. I was going to mention that too in my comment but was too focused on peat moss. I grew up with cocker spaniels as my dad was a pheasant hunter and the cockers were tremendously talented bird dogs but when Dad didn’t hunt they were the family pets. I have a very soft spot in my heart for cocker spaniels!!!:):):)

If y’all planted a hedge between your front yard and the ditch by the road when it grew up it would muffle/absorb a lot of the road noise. It wouldn’t even have to be too high.

Hi Yvonne....your flower bed looks like it's off to a good start...not sure how much you know about the other plants in your front yard but those with the long variegated leaves are Hosta plants and they do not do well in full sun....there's still some time to find them a shady spot to transplant them now or it can be done in the fall...hope you're back in tip top shape soon

I'm 70, and I had 2 back surgeries last year. I love pretty yards. I still mow my own yard, but this year, instead of having numerous pots of flowers to water and fertilize, I decided to do a Mexican pottery garden! It is colorful, beautiful, and easy to maintain! I won't have to go out in the 95-degree heat at least once a day to keep them watered. I live in the deep south. The heat and humidity is no joke! Plus, I can bring my pottery inside or put it on my back porch this winter. 😊❤

You will love the wildflower garden, when you lay the rocks down, get something called mulch glue, apparently it stops the weeds from coming through, it also stops the rocks from moving around. You only have to reapply it every two to three years. I’m going to use it in my revamped garden this year. It works really well on mulch too.

Hello Yvonne I’ve watch your video’s for along time. You and Chris found some great interesting things at this auction. The kitchen shears comments have been interesting. I remember my mom buying a whole chicken at the grocery store and used the teeth part to break the chicken bones to the sizes she needed them to be to fit into the dish she was using. We never used that part to open jars. Yvonne you have the most beautiful hair I have seen in a long time. I understand there aren’t many true redheads anymore. My grandson hair is auburn. I’m so thankful you are recovering well from your illness. If you ever get to Knoxville, TN I hope we will be able to meet up for a few minutes. I don’t care what your video’s are , I enjoy them.

There is an estate sale by me in New Jersey that has a ton of metal trucks this week. I thought of Chris.

Did you buy that bale of peat Moss this year Yvonne? If so where did you pick it up? I have used that every year along with professional potting soil and Menards didn’t carry either one this year. I am so disappointed but gardening season started so I got whatever I could. Needless to say I wasn’t happy with what I had to settle for. Yvonne…I love ALL our visits…the content is just a bonus. I will say Jack kinda drooled over Chris’s toolbox. He’s never seen one made from that wood. I fell in love with the Oreo pig. I think Chris got quite a nice find in those vintage metal trucks. Paying up is sometimes what happens in the thrifting business. No, I would never be surprised at what you have to bid for things. I’m also not one to talk down a price. If I want it…I pay the price or leave it behind. I know how hard Jacks sister had to fight back when she had mono. It took months so I’m praying for you as you journey back to health. Remember that slow and easy wins the race so pace yourself until you are feeling 100%. Your seed bed is gonna be quite a colorful addition to Taters bird watching…hope he appreciates it as much as Chris will when mowing!!!:):):)

Thank you so much. The peat moss was left over from last year. But I believe I saw it at our Home Depot again this year. Peat moss is kinda a necessity in a garden. ( well for me) hope you find it

Craigs list and offer up are 2 very good places to buy and sale as i have saved money on used and made money. I would have watered the ground before seeding. So nice that here in alaska we are finally getting into the 60 degrees with the sun that feels so good as one of my dogs loves the sun. Happy days to you both😊😊😊😊😊

*Yvonne, sounded like the winner of the Jadeite bid $4,200 for the entire lot. Coming from an Antique Dealer family, that is NOT too much to spend for that many pieces, even though THAT IS A LOT of MONEY💰 🤑 💸💲 to spend‼️🙉 The cake stand alone is worth $80-$150, of course, depending on the dimensions - and the cannister - another $75-$125 - and if there were any divided large restaurant ware plates, those are about $150-$185 each...so you get the idea, LOL‼️😉❤ I would guess if parcelled out and sold separately, you would be looking at a value of close to $6,000 - IMHO for the entire lot 😁 Of course, who knows how long you would have to sit on that inventory. 🤕* *When I saw the chubby sheep on wheels toy and the brass loving cup trophy from the movie 🎬 club, I knew those pieces would be going home with you. 😉 You have great taste❣️😘😉* *The pink scissors ✂️ 💗 are kitchen shears from the early 1980's...and they were mainly designed for cutting and deboning chickens, pork chops, ribs and other meats. 🍗🍖🥩 The center grips are for opening pickle, jelly and other stubborn jars. 🤣* *What a GREAT VIDEO...I really enjoyed the gardening segment, as well as Tater, 🐈‍⬛ the Superintendent, LOL❣️😁*

I have wildflowers in the back of my house and they’re crazy they’re all over the place now it took two years for them to fill out such beautiful colors. Also you’re going to see a lot more butterflies once you have all those blooms .

Most definitely I love watching the journey. In fact I’ve learned quite a a bit from your auctions. So you get no complaints from me. I knew jadeite was popular n it sure is pretty but if you got $4,000.00 to spend more power to ya. It’s too bad it couldn’t have been broken into category. You never know someday your ship will come in. That tool box is a beauty. I have one similar to yours except I don’t have the tray n not made out of walnut, at least I don’t think so. It does have the leather handle. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛
