They had some tourists get to close to a group of African elephants in a so called " safe jeep " a few years ago . The elephants encircled the jeep & crushed it to pieces . Get as close as you dare, just remember they are the biggest land animal on the planet & deserve some respect !

They would definitely harm it they could. The dark spots on their back are a sign that the males in this group are in musth, sort of like a cat in heat, except a male elephant in musth becomes hyper aggressive, and will attack anything without consideration, even baby elephants.

Thank you for your response, Susaant Menon, however that is not what I meant. I also have heard elephants make this sound, therefore I know it is elephant trumpetting. My question is whether these elephants in this footage are making that sound while being recorded. What I am not sure about is if the sound is live or added later when the footage was edited to be watched (and heard) by us 🐘🐅🎥

Yes actually, this one is natural cause trumpetting doesn't have a trunk "style/pose" like the iconic sound and photo. Only when the elephant is curious he will make his Trump like that but no sound. But when they don't move their trunk they will do lot of sound and asian elephants have more common trumpets than africans cause africans like more to grown and roar. The iconic calls are actually modified asian elephant trumpets cause african trumpets is loud but less than asian.
