Tamers felt to me like a "childrens version of Neon Genesis Evangelion" to me... but god, do I love this season. The characters, story, digimon and freaking soundtrack are so great after all these years.

Imo, it is the best because of the pacing and the topics and concepts it brings. I preffer the concept of what tamer has been ever since before V-tamers came out rather than the idea of digi-destined and other seasons just go too fast with the evolutions in comparison. Tamers also has a smaller protagonic group, so it is easier to give more time to all of the cast

@@dragmaapatre2348 Kinda. The ghost game team actually reference tamers quite a lot; even has a similar premise and recently even gave us a black kyubiimon with some familiar lines. Then again Tamers is linked to zero 2 since Ryu is ken's older brother who got taken to a new world (via wonderswan game story) and zero 2 is a direct continuation of the adventure series. And that's not including the connection to the royal knights in tri, which also appear in savers (the 5th series) and the x-antibody series. But this is just picking at straws. Ghost Game is built from a similar mould to tamers; not in card slash but spirit and everyone loves tamers so it's not far from them to try giving some love to the fans.

@@Kirihum Ah okay, unfortunately I didn't play the wonderswan games since they were only in japanese and i'm miles away from being anywhere good reading it. However I heard during cyber sleuth and Survive's release they mentioned how they wanted to release those wonderswan games globally if there's enough demand. Tbh I really think they should. It answers a lot of questions from the first 3 series.
