Wild Cat Loves Cameraman's Hair | Crazy Cameramen Ep06

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

What should you do when an African wild cat falls in love with your hair? Go with it and keep that camera rolling! We can't really explain the serval's strange fascination ... but our cameraman Boris does have a pretty impressive mane.

    The cat was giving a really good sign of affection, grooming. Be flattered. The cat probably thought you had matted fur and he wanted to fix that for you.

    This brought tears to my eyes, as it reminded me of my cat. She lived a good long 17 years. When I went to bed, she would jump up and do this to my hair. She did that for more than half of my damn life. Was honestly a better and more caring mother figure in my childhood than my actual mom. I got a tattoo of her on the back of my left hand, her face is blooming out of a Rose of Sharon, we buried her under one when she passed. It symbolizes both the undying love I have for this cat, but also my own personal belief that our spirit remains in this world. Every year, the tree she lies under blooms 2-4 times, something Rose of Sharon are not supposed to do.The tree has survived late spring frosts, which have killed our other similar trees. Is thriving in bad soil, which isnt even soil...its sand... I got a tattoo of her so id never forget her, and she has been paying back my memory of her by living on in any way she can, even if that means being a tree that has beaten all odds.

    Riptide Gaming oh god bless you hon. I know your pain. My baby Liz got very sick a few months ago and I had to put her down. I buried her under a juvenile oak tree next to my mom's beloved Miss Priss (who lived to be 19) so that our love for them can grow with the tree.

    In my youth I had a summer job in a zoo. We had an old male lion who had been declawed and defanged as a cub and kept as a pet for years before he came to live at our zoo. He was like a big friendly puppy dog. We let him roam around the zoo loose. Yes his name was Leo. The sign at the entrance warned people that Leo liked to sneak up on visitors and roar to make them jump but he was pretty harmless. The kids loved petting him. Leo's favorite food was spaghetti and meatballs, especially meatballs. He loved chasing basketballs around but 99% of the time he would sit on his "perch" under an old oak tree and sleep. The most dangerous thing about Leo is he could literally lick you to death with that rough tongue of his. He was also much more likely to lean against you and cuddle than pounce on anyone. I'd have taken him home if I could.

    defanged. LAWL wut? youre so full of shit its hilarious. you cant defang a fucking lion, or it will die. it literally requires its canines to eat.

  • @nunyabiznez6381

    @nunyabiznez6381

    7 жыл бұрын

    No, actually it does not and the fact that you think so shows how little you know about the topic. This has been common practice in the past for keeping large cats as pets which makes them defenseless in the wild. They will NOT die from having their fangs removed though it is a form of cruelty. They don't need their fangs to eat but they do need their canines. Elderly lions often lose most of their teeth. in the wild they do die because they can't chew their food but in zoos they simply grind up their food like one would for a baby.

  • @FingerinUrDaughter

    @FingerinUrDaughter

    Legend Length correct. they survived ONLY as long as a human was there to feed them nothing but mush. even then, the cats die after a few years in captivity due to the host of health issues that arise when you remove said canine teeth. just like literally any predator.

    African lions are subtly different than most other big cats. There's probably some more extensive speciation going on there, but it will take a couple hundred thousand years to see where it's going. But in general yeah, most "big cats" are pretty much the same as "small cats" including house cats. It's just the smaller ones can't do as much damage to us when they get excited or angry, so we can keep them as pets. Pumas and cheetahs, not so much... but we CAN relate to them the same way; just gotta be more careful around the bigger ones. Just remember to scritch around the ears. :-)

I take it as a loving thing, "your fur really NEEDS groomed!" in the same spirit as "you don't smell cat enough, let me fix that for you," and "here, I brought you this dead mouse/bird/mole because I know you're hopeless and hunting and I love you too much to starve."

    Experiences with wild Animals of any kind, Big Cats, whales, Dolphins, Deer, Moose, Fox, Wolves, seals, monkeys (as long as they're good) I mean not trying to eat you for lunch or anything....are in my opinion the most incredible/magical things that a human can have on this earth. When I watch people interacting with them, I wish I was the one there instead. but that''s just my opinion because I love Animals.

    I have curly hair too and the rest of my family don't. One of our family cats used to do this to my hair but not to my brothers or mum who had shorter hair that wasn't as curly. Just wondering if the curls confused the cat and it was trying to straighten them out. Our cat used to tug at mine gently with his teeth and paws. It's actually a pleasant but strange experience.

    Rich Sherman Hey Rich... no... you wouldn't. They are gorgeous... but no you wouldn't. I've seen the Serval in person. They are beautiful cats... they are as big as a Lab dog. They are wild and if you think the domestic cat... especially the male domestic cat sprays than the Serval is 100 x worse. You can train to walk these cats on a leash though. They are only legal in some states. They can be bred with domestic cats but you would have to go through a breeder and the more Serval in the cat the higher the cost. Back some years ago they could go as high as 28K. Also if you were to get an actual Serval... they are extremely active. If you like Bobcats... there is a breed called the Pixie Bob. They look like the Bobcat. They are completely domestic and can sometimes be taken away from you if you can't show paperwork proving they are a Pixie Bob and not the Bobcat. The Bobcat is illegal and can be quite vicious.

    Your comparison to a lab or any other big, energetic dog is spot on. If you have a large fenced in property the cat can roam around freely in and hunt on, and time to spend playing with it, a Serval can be somewhat of a pet. But keeping one in a house? No way in hell, unless you want everything you own destroyed and a very unhappy cat!! I once was on a hike in a local park, and spotted a bobcat. It was kind of weird - I caught sight of it out of the corner of my eye; it was sitting on a tree stump next to the hiking trail. I looked over and thought, "Wow... that's a pretty big house cat"... then looked closer. The look in it's eyes was both familiar and strange, the ultimate in "feral". It just calmly watched me passing by, relaxing in the sun. I probably could have walked right up to it and it wouldn't have flinched. But I left it alone - that clearly was the right thing to do. A very strange encounter.

    I feel your pain, Boris. I wouldn't call myself a cat person, but for some reason, they love the shit out of me. Even the feral cats in my neighborhood will come along and rub against my legs, and it's not like I feed them or anything.
