Big thumbs up from me Ally. I enjoyed that all the way. Your approach in from Glen Coe was of course epic. I've been there - got a video on my channel (hidden valley - wye explorer). Loved you mooching about and no I don't get bored of history. Them brocs are something else. I could feel the life from here. As for your pitch cows are usually docile - these looked that type of breed. But then again who wants big animals sniffing about your tent? Not many. Well, done on driving back and avoiding the deer. Great stuff mate. All the best. Mark

Cows and midges what a nightmare, this could be a camping hell video. 🙂 On the brightside though the scenery around the area looks stunning. You were wise to move away, i read in the news this morning about some guy from NI leading a walking tour in Switzerland who got trampled by a herd of cows. He was lucky to be alive by all accounts, the doctors described his ribcage as being like a bag of crushed crisps. Nice tip with the fern leaves, i burn green wood as it gives off loads of smoke to keep them away. You'll be back in the woods next time. 🙂

God what a nightmare! Lovely spot at Glenelg though. We were going to get that ferry over a few weeks ago but Spike had a flare up so I just went a wee solo camp. Thr cows in Skye must be on steroids cos I've had the same. There's a particular bit a farmer let's us use and the sheep are fine but if there's cows no way cos they're absolutely massive!! Even when the cows were away one time the 💩💩 they left was seriously like mountains and couldn't pitch even my wee bobcat 😂. Just up the road from you we've car camped at Loch Slapin. It can get quite busy though and the ground is a bit hard but might have some just to get your head down, unless the cows were roaming there too. We've done mad drives ike that, again omusually if Spike's not been well rather than stay out, if he's up for the long drive home sometimes we've done that too. Always next time 🏕🔥🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

@OUTDOORALLY aye true the cow pat are huge! I'm scared of cows 🐄. I don't mind sheep and kicking sheep 💩 out the way but that would be some mess, and in the dark too! At least you got a nice camp and stop offs before that. I don't even know if I'd be brave enough to go.and get my tent unless they were completely away. I would have told that cow to mooove. Sorry🙈I know everyone else is probably pulling the same lame gag, but it had to be done😂 The horns on that Highland Cattle you passed!!! I did a google search and its Latin name is Bos taurus taurus. A beautiful specimen of bovine. I've never heard of Brochs before, although I know of the Picts. They are a people who I'm hoping to study a bit about. The representation of it on the info board looked really interesting. Nothing boring about it at all. More I say. Keep the history coming. And you made the right call on ending the camp. Ask any dairy farmer about cattle and the general public. Your chances of getting trampled where quite high, so it was no failure at all. A sensible decision made. Some folk would have stuck it out just for the youtube views. Not me, no way. I aint risking serious injury or even death for a few subs or likes on youtube 😂 Great stuff mate👍
