    That boar looked more like 150-175 ( which is still great) and the small ones closer to 20 pounders ( perfect for the BBQ ). I'm speaking of hanging weight after cleaning. Not at all knocking you I think its a great catch. Those small ones on the grill with some corn and beans and a few beers....nothing much better than that!! Keep on sharing those videos hunter....

    @MrLorenzotrigueros Thanks fo rliking the vids. What makes you think these hogs were all killed? I harvested 1 only and let the rest go. The letting go is what most Texas farmers hate. I only hunt once in a while. I'll take whats offered everytime, big or small. I will not however take a wet sow if shes alone with her pigglets. If a bunch in a group... I'll take one that looks dry. The best eating hogs are the ones that dont go to waste...

    verry interesting that the little piggy can survive a rattlesnake bite.especially when pigs are not native to America,so in time they came resistant to the rattlensake venom...maybe something for scientists?

  • @borisbritva7453

    @borisbritva7453

    6 жыл бұрын

    Pigs are generally immune to snake bites due to think underskirt fat layer and special ferments in their bodies rendering venom useless. At worst a pig would be stunned for awhile and would be okay in several hours. Pigs actually consider venomous snakes their food.

    ABSOLULY! You named it, the US never had hogs before teh spainards brought them, They were farm pigs, they got loose and turned feral. Then game ranches bought russian boars and they got loose. Now we have a strange moxture running around. We do have some pure bred russians, my son has taken one and I have too. Lots of rock, hence broken cutters. Ive a recent dogging vid out. we took the biggest cutter out of about 400 pigs. 4" cutter. My son's russian was closer to 5"!

    @bronxfan47 Hogs do about 4 million in damages to land and crops, not to mention other animals and wetlands. Yes, all hogs must go! They willl never be gotten rid of, but we all have to try our best to do our part. I find friends and land/estate owners that want help or want their place set up for hunting. Havent messed with the public land ... yet

  • @dnahoghunter
    @dnahoghunter12 жыл бұрын

    They were brought by the Spainyards and some have moved in from Mexico. Others are Russians imported for ranches that get loose. Due to the fast breeding they are kind of native at this point, and are spreading fast. Some get moved by hunters which is against the law and let loose. But hogs travel fast, roam around alot and some just keep going and populate a new place. When the hunting preasure is on, or the food gets low, they move. Thats why sometimes they are around and sometimes not.
