Marty Stouffer!!!!!!!!!!!! As a young black kid - I grew up watching Wild America during the 80s and 90s. We were too poor to have cable and I remember this show coming on PBS. Marty Stouffer really helped shape my conservationist lifestyle. So many great childhood memories and your shows were a part of that. Thank you Marty Stouffer.

Such a sad history, but with a hopeful ending. Good on the owner of the white buffalo for welcoming the Lakota visitors to his farm. Also good on Marty for including Lakota voices on his show, allowing them to tell their own story.

Lakota representation on a show like this is huge. Couldn’t agree more. Thanks.

It would be great to hear Marty Stouffer narrate a new Wild Planet series. David Attenborough is aging.

Without choosing sides the reason the buffalo were wiped out was because of the Comanche. They were known as ruthless even to other Native Americans, Mexicans, and the French from Louisiana. They were the masters of the horse and depended heavily on Bison. Many tribes were victims of this policy aimed at one.

The Comanche ate what they needed and the settlers hunted as many as possible for their furs to sell and they literally tried to kill them all off so they can force the Comanche into submission since they relied on them if you search it up you can see pics of settlers with hundreds of bison skulls you won’t see that with Comanche
