As a Pompey fan, you deserved the win. But we were off the pace until we went 2-0 down after which we battered you. I think hangovers after winning on Tuesday were partly responsible. Anyway, you are an excellent side and will do well next season. See you in the Championship is 2025!

First half we were brilliant! Second half you were a lot better, but we defended very well throughout. Our style of football under Maloney is finally starting to take shape and is far more suited to the Championship than League 1. Hopefully we go up next season as we usually win the league when we're not handicapped haha

All I can see is that we were shit. But we can’t take the championship abuse when you lot have pretty much bottled that league every season for the last decade. With a half full stadium. You did deserve the win today and I was surprised with how friendly and decent your away fans are. Bouncing with us and staying for the trophy lift. Gotta love it 💙

If it weren't for that scandalous administration in 2020, we would 100% be a top half Championship side by now, we were going places with the squad we had (we'd be like what Coventry are now imo). The atmosphere at the game was good, definitely helped that neither team had nothing to play for now with it also being your last home game and our last away game

You weren’t amazing in the championship. And to be honest I’m not saying we will go up again. But both ours and your situations prove that English football has a money and ownership problem. Smaller clubs even in the same league as the big 6 are getting punished for the same things that bigger clubs are doing. Overspending is the choice of the club. And fuck me Chelsea have been doing it for years. And also your recovery this season has been a well deserved one. Something I want to ask is why is your home support so small?. Seen and been with your away fans and you have a good following. But it’s still small at home. I just don’t get it. If you had the same home atmosphere like you do away. The DW would be way louder. Nothing against you as a club. Hoping you make your way back soon 💙

@@SomeRandomPunk Home attendances have always been quite small since we dropped out of the Prem, a big factor will be that we're located right between Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City and Everton, so a lot of the Wigan population just support those teams instead. Our away following (before COVID) used to be generally very poor from what I saw, as I didn't start doing away games until August 2021, but since COVID, our away numbers and atmosphere have increased significantly though which is good. Our home atmosphere is only really good now if we're playing a local rival or a general big game that has something riding on it
