Is the bird on the half-dollar box a Pin-tailed Whydah bird? If so, what a find!!! A humble bird with a magnificent tale (not a typo!) Whydah is another name for Judah (as in Kingdom of...) On the slave-ship turned pirate ship named the Whydah (recently discovered by treasure hunter Barry Clifford), there were 30-50 'African' ship mates including Julian the Indian (half Black half Miskito Indian and first recorded Black Carribean Pirate ) These heros where the desendants of the Biblical Hebrew Speaking Isrealites (see maps of the west coast of Africa circa 1747). The greatest treasure (and shame) here is not the hoard Barry Clifford is still bringing up, but the untold and Epic History of the now extinct Miskito Carribean Indians, the Kingdom of Judah and it's decendants of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and the mindset of 'Black' Sam (the pirate captain) and other 'white' people in this time of 'African' slavery... All coming together on this iconic ship... The Whydah! This small pied bird represents a kingdom of people lost to myth and identity theft... and the truth of the human spirit of brotherhood!

@@lphjr40 You have a slice of History, yet to be fully told and an ideology of Brotherhood that needs to be brought back... This is Fantastic!! If you can, get a copy of Real Pirates - The untold Story of the Whydah, from slave ship to Pirate ship (has identical artifact there) .... or (if you have not already) visit the Whydah Pirate Museum on beautiful Cape Cod located at 674 MA-28, West Yarmouth, Massachusetts.
