The reason why African independence took long during the colonial period is that some Africans fought for the Europeans because they thought it was rediculous Africans could get independence from advance European weaponry and military skills. But this did not stop us from fighting for independence, which we later achieved. So, Wode Maya keep informing Africans about these injustices. AFRICA MUST WAKE UP

@Wong Lee I could argue with you. I could present facts and evidence that demonstrate, for example, that one of the biggest factors leading to the end of the slave trade was the massive reduction in profitability due to persistent revolts - revolts which intensified following the independence of Haiti. If you like I could give you more details and you may learn something, but something tells me you would be less than perceptive to this..I see from your posts that your comments don't come from a reasonable place that can respond to, well, reason... They stem from irrational hate and fear. Fun point; out of curiosity I asked Chinese students at my university what they thought about Tiannamen square...guess what? Most of them had absolutely no idea what happened! This, a major event that occured just a few decades ago.. The Chinese populous has been brainwashed to such an extent that an event of this magnitude has been almost entirely forgotten...I realised, how can I expect Chinese to understand the world when they don't even understand themselves.

This is what most Africans don't understand, once you control the money and economics you control the leadership and the people. This is the principle of how a minority dominates the majority. The Chinese have the Zambians by the balls financially and economically and they can slap them in the face and dictate to them what to do and they have to obey. Soon the entire Sub-Saharan Africa will be just like Zambia. This won't happen in North Africa because the Arabs see the game even before it started and won't sit back and let it happen.

Most African countries need investors to catch up in the world's economy. The west didn't do that during their reign in Africa. Instead they plundered their resources without any contributions to develop their countries, and they made them slaves. Also heres a major difference, when the west accept immigration from africa, they dont even get benefits, no economic incentive (to the contrary they PAY for the immigrant welfare etc), not the skills, nothing but 'humanity'. On the other hand, these immigrations to zambia, is with economic incentives, not because you just accept them for humanity reasons. So how about a self reflect and see your hypocrisy?

When he started speaking Mandarin and lecturing them with honesty and humbleness of understanding the pain of Zambians. I was like "wow, beautiful", diplomacy at its best is when you tell someone in their own language.

It is not surprising that you came across this kind of treatment Wode Maya so many people from other countries have taken advantage of Zambia. Hopefully some will wake up. Including myself I can barely stand up for my country. Only those people who benefit from them are comfortable. Wode fight for Zambia in general.

"Where at all should we call home?" That hit me so hard because that's what I've been asking myself lately. We really need to come together as Africans, to find a way to really love ourselves, not from an individual standpoint, but collectively. (No need to hate others...that's pointless.) But can we just LOVE ourselves?

That (the) Mayor did not even write his "own" apology... it is not his from / way of speech. That thing was WRITTEN for him to "shame" him. One cant tell that he does not give 2 forks or spoon about the note that he is reading. Bravo Mayor!!!!
