The easy answer is he was captured the same way Yuamu was. But we'll have to wait till season 3 to get a more concrete answer.

F for Yuga. They always capture the poor guy in any universe. He arrived at GO RUSH and Zwijo did not hesitate to lock him up.

In my mind I was like this: "Really, it just that?" And then I checked Sevens last episode and then noticed different clothes for Yuga.

I could maybe excuse the differences between the outfits but the fact that Yuga was sent back passed out and more importantly off screen and we don’t see him return was definitely the biggest indication he didn’t make it back. And especially given how much Kuidaul throughout all of season 2 was showing concern and giving warnings about the ohdos makes me think yugas story isn’t done just yet

Calling it now, the next Rush anime would be the combination of Sevens and Go Rush, both timeline collides together

Personally, I think Otes is behind the whole thing either as revenge against the Ohdo family for what happened to him during the final battle against Yuga or an attempt to return home himself Yuga was responsible for Otes being taken from his own timeline and could’ve caused him to be taken to a different timeline as payback Yuamu seemed to recognise that darkness that took her and maybe that was Otes in some form. She’d inherited Yuga’s memories so she maybe recognised Otes Otes could’ve taken Yuamu to try to return to his timeline in her body That could’ve failed and maybe the Yuga we saw at the end of Sevens was an Otes/Yuga hybrid and Otes successfully returned in Yuga’s body (slim chance Yuga returned home to his own timeline safely , but maybe Otes intercepted and took over his body) One thing about Yugioh, nothing is impossible 😃😃😃

Damn that man, he never leaves Yuga alone or anyone close to him(Yuga). He should be put out of existence after what he did including on what his earthdamar as did as well even if indirectly.

Otes taking over Yuamu by possessing her? Thats the YuGiOh I used to know. Antagonists manipulating, possessing and taking over female protagonist to do their bidding. Reminded me of what Marik did to Tea, Sartorius to Alexis, Sayer to Akiza

I'd say that there's reason #4 in that the direction that Gallop put Yuga in through Go Rush was that he's rather melancholic and the climax of S2 was him willing to do everything, even stay in the past, simply to prevent Monster Reborn's creation. His motivation which is that he wants to preserve Rush Duels, and it seems like the "all's well that ends well" of Sevens isn't something he'd be satisfied with - he wants to make it so that Duel Monsters doesn't even get to the state of being "taken away from children" in the first place. The confident grin from the end of Sevens doesn't seem to mesh with Yuga being in the headspace he would be at in Go Rush S2.

You think an unconscious Yuga would be smiling after being sent back to his own time against his wishes? I don't think so. I think he still has more to be done. Maybe he'll help Yudias bring back the Velgearian's or will be the main duel at the end of Season 3

i just don't see this as Yuga's true departure cause besides the interior of the ship & his outfit being completely different in the scenes it just felt like an unsatisfying way to do it with Yuga just being passed out the whole time.

Season 3 is probably the connection to Sevens and Go Rush timeline

Agree with everything, when the "farewell" scene happened, it seemed really sudden. Granted, it felt quite "conclusive" too with the music, use of relevant variant characters, and the main cast's final smiles to the event - but there were some real weirdness underlying the scene itself, with the examples you gave. Studio Bridge went out of there way to bring back Yuga's spaceship from the end of Sevens - but NOT his outfit? Plus yeah Yudias vs Yuga has been teased for so long - not only that, but they almost did it when Yuga first opposes the Velgearian resurrection and Yudias challenges him to a duel - right before Yuhi takes the duel disk instead. And showing the Sevens world when Yuga returns would make a lot of sense too - Studio Bridge has been giving Sevens a lot of love and fanservice in Go Rush - and yet the supposedly "pivotal" moment in Yuga's story, we only see a spaceship and the sky? They had some doubt within Yuga that the returning spaceship was really him in that Cat episode while Yuamu had faith it was - but they never paid that off by having Yuga realize it too? Seems too sketchy. On a separate note, I also wonder if season 2 was originally planned to be the ending of Go Rush - many of the duels this last arc felt like sendoffs for many side characters, and a supposed Yudias vs Yuga match would've been an amazing ceremonial duel finale. Especially if Yuga did legitimately return at the end to Sevens at the end of the duel, which would've closed his arc too - and the resurrection of Velgearians would've been like the Numeron Code reset in Zexal. And a lot of people were expecting season 2 to end Go Rush just like it did with Sevens, so the way this previous arc was handled makes me think it was originally a finale arc for the show, just with a changed conclusion to lead into a season 3 storyline.

what I say may be crazy, but the characters on the poster look like barians in a certain way. Isn't it that just as the creator created the Velgerians, some character from Seven or go Rush created the Astral race and therefore don thousand? then we know the sequel, in fact don thousand created the barians. Maybe this isn't the case, but it would be nice if some characters seen in zexal were created by a character from this seventh and eighth series. Going into the past, in any timeline, some character was able to do as the creator did, then these creatures went out of control or became independent. at the end of Zexal yet another threat pushes the Zexal characters to intervene if you remember. Who knows if this threat can be linked to seven or I Rush. It would be nice to close a circle, making references or connecting past events

at the end of Seven there is no further news of otes. We know that the creator created the Velgerians and that yuga went in go Rush, but Otes? I think he created astral and companions. All the events of Zexal were born thanks to those who created the Astral race

All I’m saying. Yuga had a solo win rate of 0% in Go Rush. Otes had a 0% solo win rate in Sevens. 👀. Or maybe Nick Yagi was Otes all along.

The fact that they don't send him directly to future Earth and a Goha space station is another red flag for me. I don't buy the idea that he went home safely and we'll see Yuga again somehow.

As the saying goes in Rush's Animes: Blame Otes for it! (although there is no evidence to prove it) Most likely, Yuga ended up in a SEVENS's alternate future where he sees that, perhaps, changing the future that he lived in SEVENS is not the best option (at least in the long term)

I'll give you a good reason why Yuga hasn't returned to his home yet. When they send yuga, the latter was unconscious and did not see the Go Rush characters greeting him, they were the ancestors of yuga's closest friends (the famous trio). When yuga actually goes home he will be able to greet them by looking them in the face. It may seem trivial, but before going yuga he at least has to make peace with the go rush people, but now everything happened a bit sad, gloomy and rushed. I strongly think it's not over for yuga in the go rush timeline

I like the idea of Yuga returning in Season 3, I’d prefer if he didn’t because I feel his part is over in Go Rush. If he does return, I need a proper Yudias vs Yuga ceremonial duel. I would prefer if Yuga doesn’t return, since episode 62, I’ve just wanted him to return home.

at first I thought he would go home, but in the final scene of Seven it doesn't seem like the yuga from go rush that he was passing out and going home, so I think yuga will still have to actually go to his house and when he does we will see the identical scene seen at the end of Seven and I believe it was always the yuga we know not another individual

I hope we get an answer to who the character is that was in the ship in season three and it doesn’t get left as an unanswered question because it would be annoying if it’s not answered.

think a season 4 with the aged up cast would be cool

The only reason I'm not 100% sure is that I think the only element studio bridge prioritises over meticulous plot planning is power of the bit, and I think its at least possible they think it being such an easy resolution is funny enough to do it. Apart from that I do think there's more to yugas story between GR 102 and 7's 92 but no clue whether that's going to be resolved in season 3 or a different show entirely

Well, considering the glaring plot hole year left off on. I hope year 3 or 4 tries to resolve it.

If we do get Yuga vs Yudias then I wonder if yugioh 9 will be a rush duel version 5Ds so we can get a rush duel version of Bonds Beyond Time (hopefully with better pacing)

Oh god, now I'm starting to see where this got with Yuga, Im sure Yuga DID make it to the future but the real question is HOW FAR in the future. I hated this theory so hard but I'm starting to accept it. Yuga landed on his future but he must have landed some years ago before he was born, he started creating Goha Duel by working as a Goha employee and thus becoming Otes. He couldn't create Rush Duel because he knew it had to be his child future self and then Yu-Gi-Oh Sevens happens to the point where Both Yuga's are send away in time. The one who's coming back is probably Otes aka the older Yuga. I hate to say this but Otes was actually Yuga from the start

I wondered about that, and that May be true, but it would be not that good writing in my opinion.

Here's a thought, and it might sound crazy, but, what if that's actually Yuamu we see at the end of Sevens, or even, dare I say it, Yuhi? Because, if you look at the character at end of Sevens, it really doesn't look like Yuga.

Wait... The console in front of "assumedly Yuga" in the sevens ending... That's President Drone (or a drone of a similar model).

It's possible that Yuga didn't return home yet but instead traveled to another era in time which may drive the plot of season 3 and I believe that the last duel of the series could be a ceremonial duel between Yuga and Yudias in a matter similar to the one between Yugi and Jaden.

If he didn't make it back that's teally sad hope he did but I'm not to sure We need yuga to be ok so he can rack up even more losses 😂 I'm kidding but I hope he is OK

For some reason, I feel that the one who returned to Sevens was Yuga, but after completing his journey with the third generation, as we do not know to what future he was sent specifically.

Maybe the next rush anime (should it happen) could be set in the future of sevens, and that's where he ends up

When you say that studio bridge is very careful with its details when like in seven where the massage robot or neil supposedly "died" then suddenly appearing to be okay sometime down the show, i don't like that, and there's also many instances where this also happened to kaizo in Go Rush!

Yes I do think Yuga returned back to his TL, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see him again cuz we prob will! & he def had time to wake up before entering back to Earth! Biggest hole to this theory is that if Yuga didn’t return, where did he go then? The trio did saw the future, they wouldn’t have sent him to some other random timeline by mistake!

They technically only saw a Goha spaceship, we never actually see the ground or any people from "the future".

There’s a theory for why yuama disappeared wherever yuga was sent yuama was sent there because of how the portal works

I saw that Yuamu disappeared because Yuga was sent to the wrong future. If this is how it works, then the Yuamu-Yuga connection/relationship is much stronger and the fact that the grandson of the future disappears means that the future that is already predestined is no longer possible (and would therefore eliminate their ancestors or descendants)

I believe Yuga have survived ❤❤❤❤

Honestly I hope so, I hope Yuga story hasn’t ended, for the only reason being. Go rush has been so boring in the pacing and execution, I skipped most of season 1 because of first 10 episodes where so boring. I came back around episode 40. The only thing keeping me watching week to week (or when the website I use updates, lol) is the potential for Yuga story and to find out if he did or didn’t, or what he’s planning. But it feels like a different Yuga I know they have to hide all he’s intentions, but it just doesn’t feel like the same character from sevens and that’s sad. When he’s on screen he steals the show. And I want the old cast back. And I haven’t really bonded to the new cast that well. I hope here more to Yuga story if only, I prefer him to the others. And if this is a trilogy that the next show feels better and better pasted

I don't think he return in that moment because when Yudies and his friends take Yuga to ship while sleeping and then he wake up and he doesn't where he will go, and In sevens episode 92 Yuga was simile and to me it doesn't make sense. Because why you would smile when you don't you going.

Time travel can change things but unless it's very poorly written it NEVER changes the time traveler thenself because why would it? They were outside the point of time that was changed

I gived a shot to seven the plot (I stopped after 8/10 ep) was promising yuga manage to create (and technically imposed) a new format and must fight against a corporations that want to erase it but I find the Anime too childish

Synchro and XYZ would make sense with the format. Not so much with pendulum and link as that will defeat the purpose of Rush. However, they still haven't introduced Ritual Summon, yet. I can see that as the next to be introduced after Fusion.

They'll never do those. Rush Duels are intentionally leaning into the old school format and aims for simplicity compared to the Master format. I could maybe see them reworking Rituals or something one day though.

I have a 4rth reason. The ☆ Lukeman. 1) Its the only thing from yugioh sevens where its explanation for its existance isnt only something that the charachters couldnt know, yuga also seemingly just comes up with it And its rediculous. 2) In the episode where Luke found The ☆ Lukeman we can clearly see that he looks like its a drone/helmet like those in Goha Co. 3) Also why does he have Fusion? Why is he in space? Why is fusion in space? Why did he apear when he did years and years after his supposed creation? My answer to all of that is Yuga. For example Yuga created fusion in GoRush. In Sevens Fusion was never created it was found in space. I am 100% positive that at some point in the show Yuga will create or give the idea to someone to create The ☆ Lukeman.
