Your horse is looking to.the other horse for comfort. Horses are herd animals. When your horse acts up, taking him/her close to the other horse and make him work. Then move away from that horse to allow your horse to rest. Make what he wants,(being close to the other horse work) and being away rest. Soon he will realize being close to him buddy isn't so easy, being away is.

I just love you and Tucker ❤️❤️. I have been watching you two for the better part of six months. I’ve learned a lot and laughed a lot. My love of horses started while I was in the womb basically. I’m 57 years old now and finally in a place where I can actually own a horse and start to live my dream. Yes, it’s taken half a life time to get here but I’m here and I can’t wait to pour all my love on my horse and put to practical use the plethora of knowledge and tips you and Tucker so lovingly provide here. Thank you to both you beautiful angels 😇❤️💕💐

OMG you are really amazing! I love your positive approaches. We have a farm that caters to thoroughbred rescues from the track. I am a novice rider but a very experienced horse mom-my daughter has lessoned since she was 5. I need help with an injured horse who flipped over backawards and now has generalized ataxia. Her owners abandoned her because she could no longer race. She has chosen me as her girl-she looks to me to lead her, she often will only come in or go out for me... but even so she pulls at the walk for me... She is very willing on the lunge line. I need help with exercises to at least allow her to be a trail horse. she does great at walk-trot on lunge but her eyes show she is obviously dizzy to her affected side which was the right. I know she is a good girl and I want to at least trail ride her but I need help establishing dominance and to retrain her balance. help!

You may have done it already, but if you haven't, a video on how to train a treat aggressive horse to NOT be pushy about treats- the guy I ride is younger, and very smart, he gets really pushy about treats but I love to reward him, I would love to learn how to do it properly! So sorry if you've addressed this issue already, this was a great video! The horses at the barn might like me more than I thought, haha- I AM the treat girl, and I do try to do most of the things you recommend- honestly, if you are kind and gentle with them, and CONSIDERATE, they'll usually warm up to you! Consideration is the key, just like with people!

I disagree about horses having no emotional capacity if you watch documentaries on wild horses that were separated from their herd and later reunited the stallion checked the belly of his pregnant mare to ensure his goal was safe and sound. The horses nuzzled an affectionate hello and ran off happily into the distance. Wild horses become depressed when they are taken from their families and horses show grief love anger and every range of emotion that humans have. Emotional intelligence is the highest form of intelligence and the ability to recognize intelligence speaks volumes as well. If your horse does not like you or trust you, then it’s because you haven’t earned that trust or you have abused your horse and lost that trust. Speak gently and look them in the eyes, give them actual love and affection and be willing to sit with them without demanding their touch or to ride them. They will grow an attachment to you the more they realize that you’re there for more than to use them as a tool.

I agree...I have watched so many videos trying to figure horses out because our farm is based on rescuing race track horses...Our mare LeHigh came off the slaughter auction...Her original owner had worked with her and knew she was difficult...even for the owner she was a miserable horse who purposely reached out to bite, reared up coming in....then she met my boyfriend,....he teased her something fierce...the owner couldn't keep up with board so she sold her to him and my God what a transformation! she 100% LOVES him....she went from a horse who I hated to give water to because she would reach out to bite to a horse he has taught to rear up on command, she bows, she crosses her feet and amazingly I can walk her in and out without any problem...she 100% is in love with him...we also have a horse he liked who flipped over at the race track and all she did when care takers brought to our farm was sway to and fro in her stall literally fraying her tail off....when track season opened after covid and she obviously could not run, they abandoned her to us....she does not like my boyfriend-who is why she is here lol-but she chose me...she will do anything I ask of her. Horses absolutely have an emotion to people!!

wait... your horse lives in a stall?? All the time?? If he doesn't get turned out every day then that's why he bites you. Honestly that's cruel.. Horses are meant to move and run not live in a box! Imagine having a dog in a crate 24/7. Even if it's a large stall or crate, it's still not a natural environment. Let your horse go outside..

I enjoy your videos, Tucker looks happy. You know all about having a good relationship with your husband and your horse but did you know we are living in the end of days and Jesus is about to Return? The same way you spend time with your husband and your horse, you especially need to dedicate time to a relationship with the Lord. Praise Jesus! YEAH!!

Maybe it’s because you’re thinking that he needs to respect you so you bully him and micromanage until you get what you want. Just a little thought.
