That happened to me. My hot water heater went out. It needed replacing it was 15 years old. I was told by the repair person that they won't pay to replace the hot water heater. They would pay for parts and labor but not a new tank. I told them a tank was part, but that didn't work. I asked about the AC just because I had replaced it and they said the most they would pay is a maximum of $1500 for repairs. My old warranty had maybe 10 days left and then my new one kicks in. I canceled my new one and got a refund. Then I started getting emails saying I need to renew my warranty before it expires.

They seem very very dishonest and will DELAY your requests for weeks month+ Their answer everytime is... NOT COVERED .. THERE'S AN EXCEPTION while some confirmed one the phone that they will replace the unit but turned out ... they will not cover it Im canceling this shit on my house and will tell my fitness to STAY the f^%*&$ away from these.

Ya. They are scammers. you have to fight with them. They want u to keep paying them so everytime it breaks. U pay again then they just patch it up

No you are naive for thinking that, companies like ahs are much bigger than you can understand and they will pull u out and save your ass homie, take my advice, if you own a home or ever hope to, then a home warranty should be in your mind, cause we all know buying a car is expensive, and maintenance is even more expensive cause it lasts as long as you have the car, so just imagine an entire 🏠

Irony is she paid $500 per year for presumably a number of years. Let’s ay she was living there for three years... she would have had $1500 saved instead of American Home Shield saving it. She could have just paid the $900

2-10 replaced my dishwasher and hvac. 🤷‍♂️ worked for me.

BIGGEST SCAM EVER!! Two years faithfully paying my monthly payment…my pump that PROVIDES WATER to my home broke-(water is kinda ESSENTIAL to a home) they said it was not covered…HOW CAN THAT NOT BE COVERED???? Dropped them like hot garbage!! 🗑️ Save your money pay yourself that amount so when something breaks your COVERED!! 2 years and then TOO NOT BE COVERED-!! Horrible scam!!!!! Everywhere I see this post I will be commenting this horrible experience!!

Do not do business with American home shield. Take it from somebody that did, once you sign their contract , you are certain to be disappointed and probably end up being furious. The only way you can cancel the contract is to cancel the credit card they are billing. I did this and now they’re sending me to collections. If you notice, all the American home shield KZread videos have comments turned off so you cannot share your experiences with American home shield. This is a horrible company do you not signed that contract!

I was ready to call AHS and sign up and the voice of GOD said "Maybe lookup some complaints about them?" TONS of complaints. Yours stuck out the most. Thanks for this.

Not my experience, they dispatch a licensed contractor in the specialty within a few days and always fixed the problem. Then again this is for real failures and not your 16 year old taking something apart then breaking it, passing off intentional damage.

@@fleurdebreezeacheatingllc2573 most of the time when someone calls for a home warranty it's either they know of a problem already or they suspect one, no one really calls just like that to sign up unless you are a responsible adult who just purchased a home and unsure of the state of the appliances, they always think they can call with preexisting conditions and get it covered, AHS is the home warranty you should get and some people don't even know they have someone different and they are saying ahs is crap lmao if you get ahs it's rare that you have a problem, if you get choice or select thats your ass

first premier home warranty says they will cover hvac and then you read the exclusions find out it won't cover

Well $500 is far better than $6,000

Aside from HVAC how are they when it comes to plumbing that is my main issue.

I have American home shield also now 8 years, and they are horrible. The contract I have with them they will no long follow. I am still having problem with them for September 22. The service center never calls me back. Even after trying to get a supervisor I never get a call back. Now going on 4 months, and nothing is being taken care of. They hang up and it is like talking to a brick wall. Do not use this company, they will try everything to not to follow the contract as it was written. They pulled on me that even after 4 months without air in the state of Florida, I had to pay someone else to get my AC done, and they said they would do a cash in luw now that I had to fix it myself they are trying to say that because I fixed it they don't have to pay anything. I keep trying to get them to put that in writing and to point out where it said that in the contract. And they just keep giving me the runaround. I have talked now to about 6 different people there. And each will push the problem onto what they call they supervisor but I never get a phone call from that supervisor. I say if we are all having this type of problems, costing us all money. We should try and get some sort of class action suit against AHS for breach of contract as we are all seeming to have similar problems.

Liberty guard ,Customer is Your God Take your responsibility do the right thing to your customer! Without your customer Liberty Guard won’t be in business!

Liberty guard Does not covered my water heater broken LOL ! It’s Been a 10 days. Negotiations I replaced water heater I paid $860 Liberty guard said . As courtesy they pay $600 .LOL . I bought Liberal guard home warranty insurance Premium package $1999.00 For 5 years on November 2019

To be honest I wouldn’t buy none of these home warranties. They don’t do anything except take your hard earned money. . They are a total joke & waste. Plus they lie like a rug . Do yourself a favor don’t waste your money on those useless worthless warranties . The same warranties for vehicles. I can understand wanting a safety net sure . Read the fine print. Jonh said it best .

Ahs is a scam with ac companies for sure. The AC contractors up the cost of refrigerant which is a non covered item. Then charge ahs low amounts in labor to make up the difference. Example latest ac repair $600 for freon not covered , labor charged to AHS $50.00. The freon is $80 a jug on eBay???

That's why American home shield covers your ac no matter the age!! And if you signed up for a contract without asking the necessary questions it your ass when you get denied you can't go tell BBB or anyone else your sad story cause as a consumer you have the power
