I have this exact same sound on my car, sometimes when I take a hard turn the squeak gets a lot louder. My mechanic is telling me its a bad wheel bearing but there's no vibration and its not a "roar", it's this exact "squeak" as in the video. I've had a wheel hub go out and I know the roar that appears around 20mph, this isn't that.

Did you ever find out exactly what it was. My front left tire is making this same exact sound a mechanic told me it was the wheel bearing too but I don't want to pay all the money he's asking for if it's just my brakes.

@@quanitathompson6994 it was exactly what I thought it was; the metal plate behind the rotor was somehow bent from when we took the old ones off, and it was rubbing on the new rotor from behind under hard turning. I just had to bend it back with my hand lol. Hopefully your problem is as simple!

My car makes a squeaky sound while I’m driving when let off the gas and just let the car roll it still makes the sound .. what do you think that could be ??

My camry started doing that when I back up only, when I was about to replace the rear pads I saw they were still had more than half life. So this should be the problem then? I need to check it out again if something is rubbing

what about squeaking not all the time when driving, but only when i'm turning?

Mines I notice does it when I drive over speed bumps and or any other type of lil bumps on the road. It won’t do it when I step on the breaks.

What tools did you use?

I have a 2022 car I was driving in backroads and it screeches and sounded so bad it evantaully went away I’m not sure what it was ?

I have a very loud squealing noise mostly going uphill or going up a curb slowly what could it be?

any reason why it would do this after i took my tire off and put it back on

The first 55 seconds I hear this when i drive an it stops when i stop my car i had spent 364 to get my drive belt/pulleys replaced just to the head the noise later at night ima for sure check my breaks. I got a used 2014 Honda Civic coup only had two owners low mileage but the service history they had was just basic oil changes the breaks for sure worn plus i did drive through a medium flood last week😭

What made it scrap against it ? I hit a big pothole and now my car sounds like this 😢

my question is what if just pushing out that piece is the only problem but how would I know? what if the mechanic charges me for brake pads?

If you have this problem, you will see a mark on the brake rotor, so if its same like mine, it's just the back plate touching the rotor

I'm having the same problem with my car, it's coming from the rear tyres don't know which one, but pretty sure it's that back plate then squeaking on the rotory

@@AliMECH when I brake, there's nothing wrong with them, still stop good, I have a feeling when I'm driving, I feel something is hanging towards the rotary and making it squeeze which makes it annoying with driving

I just fixed this. The back plate was scratching the rotor. I don't know how it happened, but after bending the plate a bite, the sound disappeared Some tips: - Don't let this happen for a long time. I stopped immediately when the sound appeared and fixed it right away. Even though, the back plate scratched my rotor. - Check a video on how to take off the wheel properly. You could damage the screw threads. - Safety first!! use proper wrenches, a good jack to lift the car, and make sure the car won't move.

Hello I have new rotor and brake pads. i am getting a high pitch noise on the front right side only. And everything is lubed up and cleaned it before. I got rotors resurfaced and it went away for a good week and now its back again. It happens when i am about to push the brakes fully and stop completely, you hear a high pitch noise right before stopping not for long but its annoying. And its really loud when its cold. cant figure it out.

Check the spacers on the caliper, one of them might be broken tab, so whenever u brake, brake pads pushing it against the rotor

My car was making this same noise but has since stopped on its own 🤷‍♂️ not sure why?

i did this and when i put the pads back on and test drove, it was still squealing and i heard a grinding noise

Have you checked the steel spacers under the brake pads were the pads slides on, they might be broken or touching the rotor

What if its rhythmic chirping or tink sound

It might be a hydraulic lifter or your serpentine belt

Can you get to the plates to bend them back w/o removing the pads?

Hello, I found your videos while looking up a problem that appeared after changing my front and rear brakes. When i steer the front wheels all the way to the right or the left, while the hand brake is up or while pressing the brake pedal, i hear squeaking noise from the rear wheels ( steering left noise from left rear wheel, steering right nose from right rear wheel). I went to the garage that changed the brakes to complain, they examined the brakes but they were ok. I don't know what to do

Give it some time and drive the car, if the sound goes away no need to change it, if the sound remains, you can change the brake pads then

Question: is it possible for that piece to move on its own or for it to scrape every so often? My vehicle is doing a noise similar to this but it’ll be off and on

No, it wont move on it's own, unless something hits it, sometimes rocks hits it on off-road

In most cases, its the steel spacer between the brake caliper slider and brake pad

Sometimes, when a small rock better the pad and the disk, it makes this sounds or the slider steels touching the disk. In your case, it's not that plate, but check your brake pads too, if they are not low now

My car is making this sound started about Thursday of last week. Hopefully this is what’s wrong with my car. I know the brakes started squeaking. Probably the end of March just haven’t had the time to get it looked at gonna have my dad Look at it this weekend.

Mine started off like whistling now it sounds like a train hitting it’s brakes. I’m fairly certain this is what’s wrong with my car because it happens when I turn and it’s not grindy pop sound like a bad ball joint

@@scuzrevolution138 ditto. Thing is I got an lsd and apparently that can make a noise to if the oil needs changing. I get this noise mostly on bends. I’m thinking it could be that now. But need new brakes so I’ll ask them when they change it. Or not and blame them that my car hums after so they can sort it out 😅

This is probably what’s wrong with my vehicle, happens when reversing/slowing down or going through drive through in fast food place, only happens at speeds of 5-15 mph

Mine too I went to a mechanic and he says it's my wheel bearing but I don't think that's what it is. My last car had a bad wheel bearing before and it was different sounds and issues from my new car. I'm hoping it's just the brakes.
