    You're looking much more comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. That's not a criticism of your earlier work, you just look more professional.

    Bambi doesn't actually drive, She stares in the direction she wants to go and the car follows. 🤣 Thank you! she might go for a drive today again and see if she can relax a bit, she looked a bit tense there for a minute 🤣

    This has to be your best ever. Very professional looking in my opinion. Stock is not a route that I had planned to go down, it started just as a place to park my images. I didn't want to have another social media site, like instagram. Had I had an Instagram account I would not have gone down the stock photography route as my plans for photography is in another direction. I finally got my first payment although I could have had it a few months earlier if I had filled out the tax information. "What sells?" I have sold a few images that I took, just because I could, not expecting any sales, like a torn tennis net on a neglected tennis court. Like you I very rarely leave house without at least one of my cameras. One subject I have been chasing is the Wedge tail eagle and have missed a fair few shots of this huge bird. Know where I can go to get some shots in the wild, but it means at least travelling a 1000k's one way. By the way Wedge tail eagles have an affinity with drones, they knock them out of the sky. So if you fly a drone in order to protect it, you need another person to act as a spotter to warn you.

    Thank you very much! I started stock as a way to practice, I'm glad I did. it is a very interesting game, trying to figure out what sells and what doesn't, after a while I just started uploading everything 🤷‍♂. I do sell lots of birds, tropical birds, small, large, bald eagles, I'll have to look and see how they sell 🤔. I'll have to look into the wedge tail eagle, I've never heard of them before. Best of luck and thanks for the comment!

    @@wollertz The wedge tail eagle is huge, the first one I saw in the bush, I was out hunting when all the bird sounds stopped. It was spooky and I looked up to see one cruising the tree tops. On another occasion, web cam in my car I was something land on the road in the distance so I slowed down as I approached a wedge tail eagle took off over the car, and it looked like a Lancaster bomber, I thought beauty I got it on dash cam, except it looked like a sparrow because of the wide angle lens. I have manage a few shots with the Digital cameras but none of them are any good, out of focus, blurred too far away. It seems like in a few seconds that they go from a few feet above the ground to out of sight in such a short time.

    Very good advice. Stock photography does take time and the photos must be good enough to be used a commercial image. I like your advice on shooting many different types of subjects. I believe that there is a industry, a business, or a story to be told from many different things around us. As a stock photographer, I try to shoot a wide range of subjects. It has helped me gained some success in the business of stock photos.

    Your're a very good teacher. When I take fotos, I allways hear your voice: motion blurred, noisy, out of focus. It helps me so much. Wood you think I need basically fullframe for stockphotography? Thanks for your work. Greetings from Germany.

    Thank you 😅. I'm imagining my self in a movie as the German villain "motion blur, out of focus" 🤣 Full frame is not necessary but It is better, I still sell a lot of images that I made with my Canon 7D (crop sensor) full frame has many advantages, but not necessary.

  • @wollertz

    @wollertz

    11 ай бұрын

    Thank you! planing a shoot is a very broad subject, quick tips include, focusing on the commercial value of the photo, how is it going to be used, show multiple perspectives, different backgrounds, if shooting people, try different poses and lenses for different looks, include clothing thats relevant and props that are relevant, make a list so you can get as much done as you can in a short period of time, plan for lighting, and modifiers. Details, close ups and wides. Hope this helps!

    😅 Its not easy, Its been sold as a very easy thing to get into, but just like anything in life its not 😅. You have to make mistakes to know you made them, its all part of the process, Stock is probably one of the most difficult genres of photography because all the work is done up front and eventually you might get the reward. Glad you enjoyed the video, best of luck!

    Thank you! you don't need much to edit Stock footage, I do all on my computer so I don't know about mobile apps, look for something that can 1. Trim clips so you can select the best 5 or 10 seconds. 2. straighten horizons .3. Color grade if you shoot RAW video and 4. Mute the video, no sounds for stock videos.
