Im not sure in korea, but in my country, each artist dating life can be very different. Some artists, they can dating freely, of course there will be hate, but only one or two. But some artists, once they dating, their career suddenly fall. Im not sure, why the differences exists.

Fans who dream of someday becoming partners of these idols needs to understand that these idols aren't superior or special than any other human being.. They are also just doing their jobs. They don't show their real selves to you in the public.. U never know what kind of person they are in real life then why to waste your time on them. It's completely fine in being their fan and loving their work.. Infact just crushing over them is not a bad thing either but thinking that you will be the one who will end up with them is completely delusional. Just think about it.. Maybe fate have different plans for u. Pay attention on yourself and your future and career.. You will definately find the one who is actually there for you.

It's different,the public loved Min hyo Rin(I don't know if I'm writing her name right),Taeyang was honest with the public since the beginning,he didn't hide their relationship,Taeyang was not seen as desirable in comparation with other kpop artists,reason why G dragon relationships got a diffrent treatment from Taeyang,jealousy only works when the member is handsome,in Kpop industry is all about looks.

I have to correct you on chen's issue. EXO's sales went down from 2018 bcus the compnay under produced the physical copies of obsession, adding to the fact that 2 members were in the military. jongdae getting married has nothing to do with exo sales. he got married in january 2020, 3 months after the release of the album. also, exo is on hiatus due to members enlisting, that's why they haven't released anything as a group since 2019. please get your facts straight.

Well, I'm 9 months late to reply this but yeah it's the same in my country. It's very common for the celebs to date each other or marry someone who is not from entertainment industry. That's totally normal and the fans are very supportive. Moreover, if their ships sink (the couple break up or divorce), their fans will also hate the wrong one. It's also kinda same in Thailand. They don't even care about genders. Like I'm okay if my favourite actor dates a man either he is a celeb or not. Their personal life should not be our problem.

A living , breathing human! Not an object you can do whatever you please to it . The thing about EXO album declining is false that you SM didn't produce any new copies and refused to restock the obsession albums all EXO L knew that till this day they just now start to restock the album now. The album is close to a million copies now. EXO album sales are always on point and everything still the same EXO streaming sales are huge and getting bigger each day. What are some “hard to swallow” facts about K-pop? The hardest facts that I have to swallow about K-pop are:- If you fall in love with your idol and their nature because you're gullible, naive or more trusting of others, you will always feel the need to meet your idol or fantazise them. But deep down, you know it's impossible and that you can never meet them more time than 5-10 minute direct contact only in fanmeetings. The idol you see on screen is fake. All thanks to fantasy K-pop sell, many don't know and their heart breaks more when they couldn't meet them or their dating news or some other scandal comes out. Now, let me break this down. My first point applies to many people, maximum people, to be honest. Many are gullible enough to fall for their idols and their personalities. But, in some cases, I find it rather disturbing and heart-breaking. Imagine there is a 18 year old who lives a lonely life. She has no friends, has bad childhood experience like bullying or an outcast, her family is ignorant of her emotional needs and her social life is non-existent. She is sensitive, understands and respects other people feelings, still doesn't want to hurt people like she got hurt and is quite positive in her life. But, she still needs someone with whom she can relate. She can't live alone all the time. Then she finds K-pop and find her first k-pop group who're nicest people in this world. They seem positive, friendly, doesn't judge, have strong bonding with each other, pursue their dream despite physically and mentally tired and malnutritioned with hardwork. What will she do? She's obviously going to get attach to them because first, she feels like home with them, despite seeing them on screen and second, she cares for them because she never felt like home. She'll feel dejected when her idols won't win and get mistreated by their company or get overly excited when something good happens to them. She might or might not be obsessive of them. But even if she's not obsessive, won't she want to meet them and get hurt anyways? Especially when she's using K-pop and her stan group a way to escape reality. When she thinks she can be the best buddy with her idols. These are not delusions but a simple dream of someone who gets obsessed with the fantasy K-pop sells. It's hard to swallow that K-pop idols are just like other celebrities and not the people you have around you. The first point is disturbing to me, in this case, because the person's obsession is not unhealthy. She is not wrong but still she's getting hurt. All she does is, she loves to see the V-lives, blogs, variety shows of her favourite idol group. Now, let's continue the story. Shall I? She realises if she can't meet them, she can still watch them and be satisfied. She still follows their activites, takes part in fan voting, if she can, she saves money to buy merchandises, gets happy even in small things like music wins. She even gets jealous sometimes, of other groups, if they beat her own favourite group. She can sometimes lost her mind and can engage in counter attacking other toxic fans too. She is living the life of a typical ‘Kpop' fan. Then, news breaks out that her one of the members of her favourite group has left the group due to some unknown reasons. She doesn't know why. She is hurt but she still respects his/her decision and believes in her own ‘One True 7 ‘or ‘One True 8’. However, sometimes she does think about the reasons why an idol who is non-blood related brother with others would ‘betray' his/her own group members. She has heard about all those dating scandals, boycott group protests, 7 year group curse, suicides and saesang stories but never paid any attention to it. She sympathise with those who has to go through it but she always wore the rosey glasses when she looks at her own favourite. But, now for the first time, she has to keep her glasses down when it was revealed that “Ex-member of bullying and racist rumours are confirmed. What will happen now?” Her illusion shattered. Her KZread newsfeed is filled with videos discussing and roasting her favourite group's ex-member. The heated discussion about idols being fake arised again and she watches videos about former idols sharing their idol life and experience. Her heart breaks again. She low-key knew but she still thought ‘her' group is ‘different'. She realises that:- Being an idol is just a job. No one cares about idols outside industry. Most popular groups are lucky enough to be famous and earn good while others will fade within 7 years or even within a year. Idols just show their good side. All of them have negative sides that you will never see because entertainment companies are controlling and regulating everything. Idols ain't pure virgins or innocent babies. They watch porn, smoke, vapes, do drugs and even have sex like other people. It's idol’s job to appear friendly, kind and perfect. They're practically taught to be like this by the company. So, they're just not showing how bad they can be in reality. All those V-lives and blogs are partially or mostly scripted or monitored. Idols might actually fight or dislike each other off-camera but appears as ‘true bromance couple' on-camera. Acting at it's finest. The idols she loved is not what they are. She doesn't know anymore. Her source of warmth and everything are not even real. Her world now shatters and she just look at them like regular people. Her affection is still there but it's somehow not true. It's shallow. P.S. This is how K-pop industry plays with your emotions by appealing your emotional side. We can't even blame the person that it's their fault to think K-pop is deep and everything is real when all those fan-services, V-lives, interviews, dating bans and other things ‘emphasising’ on the fact that idols are suppose to be ideal and perfect which is another thing that I find disturbing in K-pop. Honestly I would never date an idol (unless if its both mutual but that's pretty unlikely) because of course, its not the best circumstances to be under and I'm not that idealistic that everything would be perfect. Also, with everyone's opinion on their idol, finding out that idol's secret sides and personality may change your view on them if it ever happened. Constant, non-stopping flirting has serious effect on our psychology. In real life, when we see person flirting with us, we think right away that they like us. In KPOP, they flirt so much: on fan-meetings, concerts, vlives and ect. they touch fans and make eye-contact. They keep saying that they love us and we are their girlfriends and BFFs. They might be very thankful, but of course they are NOT in love with us. Falling in love is so so easy. Psychologically woman tend to fall for funny guys. And these idols are not just funny, but handsome, wealthy (mostly), funny, respectful, supportive, understanding, they say they would date foreigners and fans, they love us and most importantly we are their GF/BFF ( as they say). who wouldn't fall for such guys. They also signed NO DATING contract so ,,I seem to have chances with him". They make eye-contact with us in concerts and fan-meetings. Now, add up all the things I mentioned and say wouldn't you fall for him. If your answer is NO, then you are not a human being. 2.Psychological impact KPOP fandom is mostly based on underaged people. This is time when people go through - hormonal changes, depression, stress, misunderstandings. They think that they are not loved and understood. They want someone who meets their needs during this period. And here are idols convincing and brainwashing fans and telling fans that they are their boyfriends/best friends, they love them so much and they understand them, when most of idols don't even like their fans. Idols just want to make the money and bigger fanbase , but playing on somebody's' feelings is not right! This is the reason why many K-stans think that KPOP/Idol saved their lives. Imagine doing all these insane things that fans do for their idols , such is streaming like crazy, buying their merch and all albumes, even if they don't like them that much, going to all their concert, showing them endless love ( obsessive funs and sasaengs are not included). And in the end they come up and say that they want to date, someone who is not them. Of course, buying albumes or going to concert is normal thing, but still. Imagine loving someone so so much. He has been with you for a long time, when he needed you and now when you gave him all of you, he tells you to not look at him like a lover and he wants to date someone, because he never looked at you or ,,loved" you that way. Wouldn't you be heartbroken? Almost similar thing happens between fans and idols as well. It would make you feel used and very heartbroken. 3. Fans are too spoiled. It's even called ,,KPOP CULTURE". KPOP should not be compared to pop. Pop is more relaxed. There is not this unrealistic standards. They are mostly real and it's obvious that Pop is all about making money. They don't brainwash people as much as KPOP does. KPOP industry is INSANE. Fan are also so demanding: ,,They shouldn't date!", ,,my oppa only loves me, he is mine". Idols should change their hairstyle, personality and lifestyle, because fans want them to do so. They allow fans to decide, so fans see themselves as rulers of idols' lives. ,, I don't want you to date, so you won't!". 4. Idols started it first Goodnight wishes, Flying kisses ( except Jin's), cringy acting like they are our partners ( when they record these weird video of giving us gifts, or tying our shoelaces). Telling us to call them boyfriend if someone disturbs us. Trust me this all seem just a simple things, but that's what make us fall in love. To attract fans of course they need to do these, but as time goes by, it becomes normal. Idols do not have independence. They have to do what company tells them no matter what it is, they HAVE TO do it. They don't enjoy doing all these things, they want to live like normal people do, but they also chose to enter KPOP toxic world, so now they have to follow everything, without single complain. They were aware of it through contract, but they still signed it. So, most of the fans do not think it's problematic to dig into idols lives. Small fire warms you up, but big fire burns you down. This it what Idols are facing now. All these things added up in immature fans minds and they ended up falling in love or getting obsessed over them. Idols are also humans, but these people misunderstand them with real idols/gods and start worshiping them. I think that anyone embarking on such a relationship would need to be very strong, have a great sense of self worth and be truly self reliant. Add a good sense of humour, lack of jealousy and the ability to keep the secret and a calm nature and total belief in yourselves as a couple and it's a huge ask for one person, especially in any society where fans can't accept dating of their idols . Really sad .

I am so late to watching this, but I have to say this… as I see there are many things to think about when dating an idol, this isn’t just about other people. This is about personal happiness. Idols will hide relationships and busy themselves so that way they don’t have to think about the aspect of having someone they love in that way nonexistent or barely even there. The idol themselves has things to think about and the partner should think about it as well… however, the partner also has a life. I personally think whoever the idol ends up with will have a life of their own and they won’t just sit and let the idol take advantage of them, instead they will find out a compromise that works for them. Knowing the potential risks of a relationship with a celebrity is good to know, but ultimately no one really knows the type of risk they would take in that moment with everything into perspective. If you truly are happy with a person, and are happy with yourself, then everyone should be able to find a balance sometime in their life. I would date an idol… I would date one knowing what the fans would do, but I think I personally would be okay with the secrecy of the relationship because putting things into perspective, you would have time with them… you just wouldn’t have the time you dream of… and for me that’s okay because I am also a very career oriented person… everyone should view the idols as role models, but also normal human beings and recognize that their self worth is also at that level. You are strong. You are beautiful and powerful. Bring light into the world your own way. Whatever you do will be beneficial in someway. I would date a BTS member… not gonna say who my bias is, but I think I would date them if the circumstances were doable and the compromise between the two of us was a reasonable one… don’t ever think you can’t do something just because it seems impossible. In reality, it is very possible, just unlikely. So everyone keep the hope in whatever you want to achieve because even if it doesn’t turn out the way you expect, you probably won’t be disappointed in the end ;)

Well recently I saw an interview where host asked them to say we are yours(in a healthy way , she talked). But many fans we will feel that now they belong to them only . In my view she should have changed it into we all love all our fans (same thing but the way they say is different ) . I hope wat I am trying to say is well delivered .

We need to normalize idols having relationships.

Everything is beautiful at a distance. Idols usually are trained years to build a public image. They are trained to behave certain way and have a certain character. You really don't know them personally and their real likes and dislikes. Even, if you marry one of them, 24*7 lack of privacy would drive you crazy meaning you can't even go to a near by convenient store to get a candy bar. Listen to their music, go to their concerts, support them but never be delusional and ruin your life.

Just as some people are born to be famous, there are some people born to stand by their side and still choose them, for better and for worse... I just wish the world was kind enough to not make it hell for these soulmates.

Maybe a reality show or an agency should be created to help these young men and women find happiness. I recently watched a video where Chen said he wants to fall in love and marry and it was so sad to see that it was just a wish that might not come through. I really pity these idols because they are like products used constantly, worn out and thrown away when they age.......I mean , they won't be young forever! It is so sad that they can't date or love someone without consequences

It’s so easy to fantasize about being with an idol for the rest of your life simply because you don’t have any challenges to overcome. In fantasy, everything is easy. But when really hits you in the face , you realizes you have tons of challenges to overcome. So dating an idol is not for everyone. There are sacrifices to be made. You have to be really secretive not only to protect yourself but your partner too. You have to be super patient and strong and I mean really, really, reeeeeeeaaaaaaally strong. And you have to ask yourself if you really love the person and not the idea of “ dating an idol” Dating an idol is hard but not impossible. It really depends on how strong you are because the path is a bit rocky. Even if you love him/her, you have to think twice or million times about whether it’s worth it or not because having an idol as your partner is no fairytale.

That’s terrible😕, clearly those people are not true fans if they don’t want their idols to be happy.

Thing is at the end of the day each and every idol has to marry someone obviously... this video is absolutly right..i wanna add is that we should not rush for these things to happen..every thing has to take time and patience.... this is a wonderful video which actually is a eye opener for the fans who are only obsessed (not all) and just drool over their idols and dont think of consequences... ❤

The chanyeol thing is fake we all know those pictures are old and we seen those pictures before you can clearly tell in one picture he's holding a guitar. And that person that made the story up mysteriously disappeared what happened to the person it was all lies just like it always is with EXO they get so much hate and lies and rumors being made about them all the time. We real EXO L believe in them not haters

i am still determined to date an idol even if it brings me physical and mental breakdown and consequences . you can like who u like its no big deal . even if no body supports me i am still going to do whatever i want . i am a very brave person mentally and physically

For me, if I had the chance to date my idol, I would go for it. First, we live in different countries, so no paparazzi will know about us n no crazy stupid fans will mad at them for dating. We can go on date by traveling, it's safe n fun. Second, I personally understand their job as idol n I'm not jealous type Third, I don't mind if their fans buy gift that I can't afford. It helps me save my money for future of both of us Fourth, they can't stay idol until they get old. Most got disbanded, only some stay like Lee hyori. So if we got married one day, we can live peacefully at my country since people here are not judgemental like Korean

its only a problem isf your are an active idols.. but if you are disband..i dont think theres a problem
