I will forever play acrid as melee. He is a melee character idc what’s “meta” it’s fun to play melee in a game that’s dominated by range. It’s just fun.

honestly i do like the voidcrid mod, gives him new options, and adds to his character changing like the lore implies. Poison pupper trades the contagion for an on cooldown black hole that can potentially void obliterate enemies, his poison spit for a laser of writhing void tentacles, and claws for a flamethrower breath. Sure you lose on the mighty leap with all the options, but you can go invisible with the utility ability, causing an aoe void burst when you enter and exit invisibility

next survivor should be REX

Rex is incredibly underrated and with just some bleed, gas, and a death mask, he becomes an all powerful primordial deity capable of massacring the entire map with a mis-click

In the first Risk of Rain/Returns

Acrid is fun and all, but he’s not loader or railgunner.. he’s fine if you want to sit there watching health slowly tick down in the early game and just get simply outclassed late game.

Not really viable on Armageddon though
