Alpha damage is really strong, but the buffs still didnt fix his flaws and only improved his damage but he keeps dying if he cant get close to the enemy main dmg dealer

He lacks the capability to do followup chases or escape aside from ult which is unfortunate because once you look at the other "meta" fighters they easily have the best tools to either escape or follow up, whether it be a dash, cc immunity or a speed-up.

@@amruthsjayan8632 Alpha isn't Tanky, your build doesn't even have enough defense items, it's his Regen that makes him harder to die, anti heal, Slow, CC and True damage heroes can easily take him out, also it depends on your team, if your team is garbage and feeds enemy, you can well expect to get one shotted

It definitely made him stronger but not op. It also makes him a little better than before. Maybe they should bring back his second skill's attack speed buff where he'd get attack speed according to how many targets he hit

Ooh, I remember that. That would REALLY make him a force to be reckoned with...

In terms of how strong the new Alpha is, his power level is on par with peak Terizla (around the time of Vexana and Faramis' revamp), which means he's borderline OP. However, his strong point is only on the sheer power of his true dmg, which is different with Terizla with his dmg reduce + 2nd skill. Since Alpha lacks any "beefen up" abilities, he isn't as broken as peak Martis from several months ago, which for me is one of the time where a hero can be that OP

Nah not as strong, as peak terizla. Alpha still dies to burst once in a while if you jump in stupidly, but terizla will always survive somehow even if you they try to burst you

terizla was a lot stronger then, literally brainless gameplay on laning phase , just spank with 2nd skill every time with high damage, low cool down and fast movement

I'm using Alpha since his 1st version, and I am really impressed with what they have done. Alpha really deserved this buff. It's his time to shine.

​@Golden44 sounds like skill issue. Natalia's damage is decent early game. S2 only gives Natalia immunity to physical damage. As a Natalia main. I don't have a problem.

I think what most players don't know is that his damage is actually almost the same as the old one, the PROBLEM with Alpha is the DELAY of his skills, therefore it's also a delay in his damage, one adjustment i thought of is combining all of his passive damage into 1 strike. So this adjustment almost has the same damage as old, just with a bit more faster animation. In short, the faster animation(and therefore faster damage) is what made this guy better this update

The changes on Beta's follow-up on every Alpha's skills from phys dmg to true dmg are also nice since building PEN items especially Malefic always seems like a waste on Alpha due to his passive

i dont think so, because yes maybe the old one seems strong in early game but in late game all the damage will fall down especially when you're using CDR build and today meta is often to pick tankier heroes. but now there's almost no downside when using CDR build because the Beta true damage, my main item is War Axe + Bloodlust Axe for damage+CDR+spellvamp and then you can get more damage from Hunter Strike or you can go tankier with Brute Force Plate for going agresive or even Oracle for more heal. theres so many build you can adjust depand on the enemy with the new Alpha

@@h.h4417 if you plan on adding some atk speed on him, I would recommend Corrosion Scythe for its slow effect to make him hard to escape. I normally build him with Bloodlust Axe, Hunter Strike, Malefic Roar, Oracle for additional heal and CD, Queen's Wings for survivability, extra CD and extra spell vamp when low HP and one item slot is either Immortality or Dominance Ice. If there's no enemy with anti heal build, you can replace Oracle with another defensive item or just buy the Corrosion Scythe. Same if the enemies don't have regen based or attack speed based heroes, don't build Dominance Ice and build some def that will counter the enemies. Just don't forget to build Bloodlust Axe + 1 or 2 damage items to abuse his spell vamp. Yes, I don't even build boots anymore but that still depends on you

@@h.h4417 I use him in jg role mainly....my build is Armor/Tough Boots, War Axe, Hunter Strike, Bloodlust, Halberd, and BoD, Endless can be in there......I just use him to poke enemies and set for my team. That's the full damage build I go with. I made a video about :3 Yeah, use corrosion if you're gonna put in atk spd for Alpha, even though it seems tempting to put atk spd on Alpha....don't. The enemy has to be stationary for you to use your attack speed so a burst build is better or just high physical damage since Beta's damage depends on your atk items........ For tanky builds, I'd say get the tank items that has cd red. This will let you spam your skills making it easier for you to mark the enemy and have your ultimate in

Same my god dam mms (Hanabi) literally used retribution while farming in gold lane and also stealing our core buff

The only problem now is if your ult hits, and the enemy flickers away, Alpha cannot perform a basic attack (unless he use extra mov speed), and the enemy don't take the extra true damage from his new passive. So in my own opinion, Alpha + petrify is kinda good now with burst/semi-attack speed build.

True damage counts as skill damage. Building Bloodlust Axe now helps to heal even if we run out of skills, although the heal is very less.

This is a great buff for alpha, and I dont think they overdid it, all it takes to kill alpha is to stun, burst, or gank him, balanced buff for me personally. Btw if anyone's gonna try to use the trinity build make sure to add 2 defence items on his build otherwise you're just removing Alpha's way of surviving in teamfights (bruteforce chestplate & Oracle or Antique Cuirass & Athenas Shield/Radiant Armor)

small tip playing alpha; when ambushing an enemy off guard, try to cast your 1st skill before dashing in with your ult to have beta locked on as soon as alpha comes up

While playing alpha just finish as quick as possible. He has high damage, can easily damage multiple enemy and low cd. Late game he became squicy

alpha is like argus now...by1 they won, enemy run they die

Alpha now can back to EXP lane with Petrify, recently just bullied a Arlott with Alpha.

He is definitely “balance” now, his early game is strong(he can still get destroyed by dyrroth, bandang) mid game is still good, but late game, he kinda becomes a kamikazi robot if the tank doesn’t go in first. This is only for solo Q exp alpha.

Honestly the Alpha we have right now feels balanced since he is literally a glass cannon now. Aside from the mountain of true damage. I feel like some amount of his true damage on his passive should be reduced but bring back the movement speed buff when casting 1st skill to close the distance against the escaping enemies.

​​@@OrnylNormal fighters and pure assassins literally got their HP cut to 10% within 1.5 seconds by Alpha. It definetly is a problem for them. The only fighters that could stand up to Alpha now are Freya, Dyrroth and Bane. Other fighters would get clapped by him within 10 seconds. MM side Melissa would be the only one able to fully counter down Alpha. Mage side Valir, Yve, Bane. Assassin side probably only Ling imo but Gusion is debatable. Tank/Roam side would probably be only Chou, he would need to rely on turrets to kill Alpha but for a tank role, being able to stall, bait and make Alpha waste his mana is enough. Martis and Freya roam on the other hand would be debatable.

@@Ornyl You think fighting Dyrroth can't be head on? With that slow and dash no way you can actually avoid fighting him head on. Bane ofc you have to fight him head on unless you wanna die and Freya easily gets countered by War Axe and Hunter Strike so you don't risk losing to her in a head on 1v1 and can run till her ult ends and just murder her.

i've been playing alpha for a while and i can definitely say that he's extremely op if used properly

My new build can erase enemies in 2 sec. I guess it's not Alpha who's OP in this patch. Beta is actually the most OP in damage because of his true damage.

I also noticed that when we are being stunned while using our ultimate, the ultimate will activate after the stun and we ended up using our ultimate on the previous location of the enemy.

I was one of the players of alpha when he was still least picked in ranked. heres the thing, alpha is yet weak and cant go near to late game mm heroes if HE GOT CC'd hard. but alpha can already painful at level 2, as long the user's skill accuracy is good. at this point i have never seen where in SEA players, ban alpha. although i see them getting picked frequently now. and as an alpha main, im happy that he is getting some recognition in the mlbb once again, cheers alpha users!

If you are playing alpha jungler, don't think of him as a fighter, think of him as an assassin due to his crazy damage output. If you can dominate the early game with sheer damage, there won't be a late game if you are smart enough to end early. I rarely lost with alpha assassin jungler, and his build is: Jungle emblem (seasoned hunter) or Assassin emblem (killing spree) Tough Boots Hunter Strike Bloodlust axe Blade of Despair Brute Force Breastplate Immortality/Winter/Oracle Overall, there will be 40% (Max) CDR with buff, and you can pretty much one shot any squishies with ur ult. The combo goes like: 3-1-2-BA. Note: Alpha is crazy op when overleveled, so utilizing your macro as a jungler is more important than trying to gank everytime. Work on clearing your own creeps, stealing enemy creeps, taking turtle, and ganking gold lane when there's no jungle to clear. your goal should be dominating early game and end it fast, and it is very easy to do with how crazy fast his jungle clearing ability is.

Alpha is strong on this patch. Already using him and easily dominates most of his counterparts though he's still susceptible to cc heroes 😁

And also, at Lvl 1 as a jungler Alpha the 1st skill will help you proc his passive and increase your jungling speed by some time compared to using his 2nd skill at lvl 1.

My main is alpha what i can say about this revamped is he can counter enemy with wind nature with the new passive but i think if they didn't remove the stackable attack speed he is much better. If they can't bring back the attack speed they can just bring back the 3 beta attack every 2 stacks then add 3rd stack for alpha which activates the new passive every basic attack = beta attack or just make it every 2 basic attack = beta attack in 2 stacks...

I don't think the trinity build would be as effective cz those true dmg from basic attacks scale with physical attack. The regular 30%-40% CDR hybrid build is better as it offers quick kills on squishies + spammable skills.

Thus is a huuge buff. I used to play previous alpha a lot too, in rank legend. And he was already very good as a fighter with vengeance. Now he is easy to play as jungler too. I think its a hero that a lot of people mistake for being weak.

Alpha with Thamuz usual trinity build is a menace as a Jungler Core xD

His playstyle is similar pre-nerf esme. You just need to poke enemies with 1st and 2nd skill until their hp becomes low enough to kill them then attack with his 3rd skill. He can easily kill tanky enemies like yu zhong, esme, dyrroth, edith, etc. Based on my experience, the only fighter that can easily dominate alpha is silvanna. Silvanna's damage is too much for alpha

If you're matching against Silvanna with Alpha, it would be better for you to wait on using ur ult. When silvanna ults u and use 2nd skill, that's the time to ult. Silvanna's main damage source will be cancelled, and you can retaliate.

Alpha lacks mobility, considering that his only dash skill is his ultimate (which is also his main CC skill) makes it difficult for Alpha to retreat from a losing team fight (especially when he already used his Ultimate) unless you're using flicker. Overall I'd say he's a balanced fighter.

He’s a snowball type hero you must perform good early or else it becomes a waste pick.

6:25 Definitely Alpha can toe to toe with tanky Hero like Fred Lance.

Already using him as a Sidelaner and Exp Laner Most of the enemies on exp lane I fought couldn't deal with me... Execpt Freya I hate her

Yea its a bug for almost most hero where when stunned it casted sometimes in random location instead, get frustrated a lot of times

alpha before feels like getting hit by a mosquito but now i think he's pretty balanced

Alpha did receive a huge buff and made him some what useful.But he still is weak against stun enemies which makes it difficult for him to deal his massive damage. -so in my opinion he's more powerful than before.but still has that big stun weakness that makes him not good against stun enemies.

Even if i was stunned i still have amazing Heal with 2nd skill even if The enemy has dominance ice ... so full hp again

Ppl complaining about his chasing or escaping ability just build him hunter strike bruh, it really helps in his case... Plus his new passive makes him more dependent on his basic attacks as well so hunter strike is a really good combo to chase and melt down the enemy with true damage

not sure what exactly happened, but i remember alpha being meta jungle during the launch of war axe. and iirc, he already deals true damage back then.

Alpha is like Jawhead now. You camp in bush and pick off overextended enemies. You should stay unnoticed so u can flank the backline but for that u need a good tank who'll draw the attention to himself. Only way to win 1 vs many siruation is if u ult them all and hit them with petrify so u burst all the squishies and make a trade that way.

For current Alpha, start 1st skill instead of 2nd skill if you are jungling

I believe this update on him is not that OP, sure he can kill squishy heroes faster but as long as you can blink away from him he can't deal his true damage. And if you're really worried, you can buy the new updated Twilight Armor, it can lower his true damage to you.

It's a bug and buff because if someone stuns you but you triggered ult they will get cc but it won't register but ult will still trigger after the stun.

Ran him with Trinity, corresponding def item+ Rose gold, inspire and fighter emblem with full points in hp and def with festival of blood talent. The opposing dyroth wasn't too experienced and didnt have a good time 1v1 in the early till mid :3

As an alpha main and a nearly top 10 country Alpha main, the buff is so good and kind of op actually to certain kind of heroes (most exp heroes that got no blink skill are kind of weaks to beta slow and true damage, even terizla and thamuz also die at lvl2 compete lane ) but very weaks to hero that had crazy slow effect (heroes that are good pair with ice wand, for the example valir) and Franco (yes, for nearly 50 matches i had play with alpha after the buff, franco are the one that make me suffer most of the games).

Now we can say it , ‘ Alpha is online ‘

Imo, he’s definitely so much better now, he can actually deal proper dmg with his new passive, can literally melt anyone now, you only need 2 dmg items to deal enough dmg now (Blade of Despair cuz passive true dmg scales with EXTRA phy atk). But.. his flaws still exists as he’s still pretty easy to counter with how weak his teamfight capability is, one he goes in, it’s hard to get out. Unless you get to kill the enemies before they do to you. He’s now pretty much pretty viable in the jungle, beta dmg allows him to clear the jungle super fast now, but his flaws still remain when going into fights, you have to be very mindful when to go in or you may make your team have a hard time. I don’t think he’s far from being “ban-worthy” yet which is good cuz i still want to play him more xD

Alpha is very good inthe meta right now but he still retaining the same problems, lack of escape skills, fall off in the late game and can be easily deal with anti heal

The buff is so good that in the right hands, there are only about 7-8 heroes out of a 100+ of them being able to take down Alpha. Alpha is one of those heroes if you take advantage of your surroundings and master his capabilities, your winrate percentage will instantly be 60+ to 80+.

He became to OP to the hero who doesnt have dash skill. Like terizla, bane and many more. The reason is because of the slow and lifesteal. He can outlive terizla by lifesteal even there's no minion in the allied team of alpha.

Not bug. Alpha just so determined to cast his ultimate

Another buff they can add: His 2nd skill gives him magic and physical defense stats every hero it will hit. A small update to balance this out is lower the damage or heal of the 2nd skill

I might say the buff on alpha is just balance, alpha can turn the table once he get a chance to build his core items, might be fighter or tank build

Alpha is also good with thunder belt since you will need the mana if you're not playing jungle role with the blue buff and the slow effect is useful.

I certainly start using alpha and see this buff on alpha as opportunity for me to make him as my main hero. But in most match when enemy pick alpha, they usually go for jungle role which is average and for me i usually go for exp lane so i can utilize the battle spell to my need in match. So use alpha on what role you like and not based on pro player since you gamestyle is different. I literally tank the whole squad alone and got two savage😮

The most op hero rn after being buffed is not alpha, it's physical build bane. Once the 1st skill bounces off to you, if you're not using any physical defense, your life will drain like crazy

Alpha has a crazy jungle clear speed now and his ult cooldown is sick and his dmg is huge i play him as a jungler and i can say that moonton make a monster he is the fastest jungler in the game and iam not kidding about it i think he will change the meta if the pro seen junglers realize him and his crazy speed of the clearing

For this new patch, I'm using him as the jungler. But I go with the tank build instead of damage build. Very hard to be killed. 😬😬

Yeah he's pretty balanced now.. Same goes for bane his buff also made him pretty balanced without making him op. Mino is ok but they should buff curse helmet dmg on minions, with mino clearing even the lowest hp minion is super hard...If you're playing him just straight up ignore minions

He's op as long as your teammates perform perfectly.

I think movement speed buff is the missing link for alpha. Meta exp laners can cut lanes without the fear of being kited.

Hey Elgin would it be cool if ml had a collab with dc? A hero collab I mean not a skin collab so it would last for not a certain amount of time, but a long one as the game progresses.

I'll try to play alpha since 2 days before and it brings me in Mythical Honor rank with 9 winstreaks . I can say that his skills is Over powered than before specialy if I build sustaine items like War Axe plus spell vamp like Blood Lust Axe . This item is my main damage item and the rest is for defense items . I didn't already use the trinity build but ofcourse Mr. Elgin mentioned it so maybe I'll try .

Bro...that trinity build for alpha is OP... I'm playing atlas and about to roam to other lane...then just being killed by alpha for 3-4 seconds...solo kill me with high hp💀

Trinity build is a waste on alpha, he is more like a skill combo hero and can sustain (just a tiny bit) compared to the one shot heroes like Sabre. For those new in with Alpha don't use auto aim on his Ult, it will just wasted on minions if nearby. Aim the ult properly, enemy heroes should be in the way of the ult. I have an enemy who did not aim the ult and just got wasted on my minions which I took advantage off. Alpha is weak agains't heroes with CC, same with other 1 shot heroes. So I can't say he is OP but compared to other exp lane heroes, he is now at the top Tier. Depending on the team comp, if you have a lot of CC teammates, you can use Alpha for exp, if don't have any cc teammates then use other heroes with cc.

sure he is buffed but his item build putting him in awkward position. can't decide between attack speed or damage. still need penetration items with 40% cdr build because only the drone doing true damage not the hero himself. you can either buy anti heal items like dominance ice, sea halberd, necklace of durance, or use mage with heavy cc who can stall and disable him from far away position. in 7:54 minute mark he even mention valir. i guess he is fighter version of karrie.

Alpha is pretty strong right now and a hot pick that can rival heroes like Yve, Chou and Joy in high ranking lobbies. But I think he can’t fare well against a lot of well-rounded heroes such as Yu Zhong, Esmeralda, Melissa, Beatrix, Moskov, Brody, Lunox, Lylia or Yve simply because they have the mobility, and the skill sets to deal with Alpha. For example, Lylia, and Yve move fast for a dashless mage so they can easily dodge his skills. Esmeralda and Yu Zhong has a lot of sustain and (with Yu Zhong) cc to interrupt his skills. And basically the mms I mentioned and Lunox can easily survive with their stuns and dashes

Definetly alpha jungle is good cause the ult so ganking is op but jungles not that fun and i find its hard to sustain as its spell vamp so bursting is the way to go but really only possible with execute vengence just feels useless

I always use alpha whenever i end up being the jungler. But i always grt teamed up with crappy team mates

After his buff, Alpha has helped me climb from Mythic to Mythic Glory by playing solo. He is really strong esp in EXP lane.

As alpha main, I can say that the difference of damage is quite high. Back then, Alpha is so weak that I had to play safe when fighting any other fighters. He can't even kill MM or Mage with 1 combo and it always get me killed instead. Now I can play more aggresively, even steal buff before 5 minutes. Still using cdr tritinity build, haven't try BoD yet
