Been here all my life and after travelling around canada more ive noticed how boring saskatchewan really is. Most the parks are run down or simply not running anymore. More investment for recreational activites were in the 1960s with most companies leaving saskatchewan all together. I dont see this province getting any better anytime soon, with some of the lowest grades per province. The cities have become worse and worse and the people are Wayyy less friendly than they used to. I remember back then having lots lf random conversations with people, now you talk to a stranger and they look at you like your crazy!!!! 😢 its so sad to see how this province has become when you seen what it used to be even in the 90s. Had indoor roller blades and we were all strangers just hungout and talked, at the arcades and such.

Also been here all my life, and honestly, I understand people not being very friendly and leaving. Got to say it like it is, Saskatchewan is a s---hole. There isn't anything to do, no hiking trails or sights to see, and the weather is horrendous. The only place in the world to get Florida summers and Antarctica winters. I'm finally leaving this province this year, I just can't do another winter.

Finally someone said the truth. Very tired of hearing the one Saskatchewan “I have all my family here” pov. People who move here are very miserable. They don’t have families or the right support system to do well here. Plus like you said most people aren’t as friendly compared to back then.

moved here with husband in Sept 2023 and so happy we did. Moved from Ontario and we bought a house and paid off all our debts, have no mortgage, finally have excellent health care including an amazing doctor (something we never had there) upon arrival i was airlifted to saskatoon with a complete heart blockage and received the best medical care in Unity and in Saskatoon. I can't state just how much I love it here. Our property overlooks miles of beautiful fields and the birds are so amazing; saw my first great barred owl (he was huge), many prairie antelope, mule deers, white tail deers, moose . The people in Unity, Wilkie, Luseland and Kerrobert are so down to earth and friendly The winter here is the same as Northern Ontario except we have little to no snow. Can hardly wait for garden season and summer here as well as the farmer's markets. The Hutterite people are so friendly ; buy my eggs fresh from them as well as my chickens, potatoes and carrots at a cheaper cost than the local grocery stores. We drive to Provost and Lloydminster for groceries as well (1 hr away) and don 't pay gst there .

Thanks so much for watching Tracy (and great to hear from you). It sounds like you live in such a beautiful place. I have been to both Unity and Wilke and I can say they are both really lovely places. I still need to visit Luseland and Kerrobert. My partner and I also sometimes go to Lloydminster to save on the GST. The garden season (and summer) are just incredible! :)
