I love ATL so much mane.. Not just for the women but just the environment..
Houston is awesome like Atlanta!
YOUR 100% RIGHT.
LOVE TO VISIT ATL, HOUSTON IS THE PLACE.
thats crazy lol. I'm a CS major and I plan to move to ATL w/ my bestfriends after college too.
Where in the hell can you get a $400 apartment in Atlanta
She's right.
Very true comment!
Ive many times thought about moving to ATL. Simply because it is soo much cheaper then living in the Northeastern states. An apartment that would run $800 a month or more in Baltimore you can get in ATL for $400. And hopefully ATL's judicial system is not over lenient on punishment for criminals like Baltimores is.
Read one comment say there are no festivals. We have the Dogwood Festival, Sweet Auburn Festival, Taste Atlanta festival, Black Arts Festival, and many more.. We do have plenty of lakes, small and big like Lake Lanier. I saw another commenter say it's boring and there is no one in the streets, there are always people on the streets in the and we have the Aquarium, The Underground, Atlantic Station, Little Five Points, Centennial Olympic Park, The CNN center, Piedmont park, Stone Mountain, etc.
i love atlanta
Very informative. Your last comment about growth really made me think. I only need a few of those 5 million clients
I love at live!! It is truly the New York City of the South!!! It's even the Washington, DC of the south!!
The video was excellent! If you were retired and have not lived in Atlanta for over 20 years where you choose to reside based off your knowledge and experience. I am African-American by the way. Thank you for your input. I am looking to purchase a home there.
I'm deciding between Seattle or Atlanta after college.. what would you think? I'm a computer science major.
thats my hometown shawtie since 1999 yea bow !
me to ! atl my city and my state hometown since 1999 ! =)
I love Atlanta and visit quite often for my dads work. I don't know how I would feel about living there. There are A LOT of rough areas. I know all big cities have their problems and EVERY big city has it's bad parts, but ATL has quite alot, specially from downtown to the airport. I also don't feel too comfortable around the downtown area and specially riding its public transportation MARTA. I'm from near Chapel Hill NC so it's very different but I still love ATL and look forward to going again.
@AspiringBlackLawyer ATL might not be the best place to move to from Miami but sounds and appears to be a good place to move to if you are coming from up north. Like Baltimore, Philadelphia or anywhere in the North. The cost of living is too expensive up north especially in MD where the governor likes to keep raising taxes all the time. Im actually considering moving to either ATL or Charlotte NC where cost of living is cheaper.
Great info. What are the top 3 school districts in Georgia?
that seems to be a matter of personal opinion. It is unfortunate that you didn't enjoy yourself while in Atlanta, but I was simply stating facts that we do have plenty of festivals and events that occur throughout the year that are especially good for family outings. We have parades, stone mountain, centennial olympic park, the CNN center, the Georgia aquarium, Little five points, etc. Before anybody moves to a new city, research should be done on the job market in the field of interest.
what are some good apartment places to live at in ATL if you know?
I'm actually in decision mode in regards to moving to Atlanta or staying in Florida,I don't know what to do?
@louishenna yes it is. Houston all day
@HelloEquipment Great ,what is your business and your goals and how is it going?
Hey Christian. Any advice/suggestions for a Caribbean-native married couple in their late twenties with a 2 year old? We're planning on moving to ATL from NYC. We are city babies, but we wanna but a house somewhere with lower-than-average cost of living. We also love being around the arts, entertainment and Caribbean flavor. This may sound like much, but do you have any advice/suggestions?
Always lived by the coast...how far from the beach, 4hrs?. In San Francisco, bay area, we have...KZread, Facebook, Apple, Oracle, and a few other ones.
what about hurricanes? floods? earthquakes? gangs? and how is music doing over there? girls? faith? i don't know... colleges... ? etc.. i'm actually moving by june.. i need more info.
NEW YORK, PHILADELPHIA, WASHINGTON D.C, ...MAYBE ATL!
I live here
I moved here 3mnths ago & yes it is really nice but even with all the companies you named..its soooooo hard to find a job here, if you have any good leads on jobs I would love it, thank you 7 good video
I am really interested to know exactly where and how large of an apartment you get for $400/month in Atlanta. Nothing was that cheap when I lived there ten years ago unless it was in a low-income neighborhood. I'm not sure if you could find anything in a "desirable" distant suburb for that little. Not saying you're lying, I just want to know what you get and where it is for that.
@Celebrity729 You're not the first person who said the same thing, i've never been to Atlanta (only passed through on the way to other cities via Greyhound) and never considered living there. I lived in Miami for many years and i understand it's a "far cry" from living in Atlanta with NO body of water or culture either. I'm originally from New Orleans and it's better there (minus the high crime) with the local culture, food and MANY festivals not to mention the Lakefront (body of water).
Well sometimes you got to grow up. Last time I checked West Nam, Miami and Ft. Lauder-dale were not all peachy. So stay in the Suburbs tucked away behind walls, fences and gates.
@JeffreyJenness I have never done or ever will do drugs so thats no worry there. Plus the stricter they are about drugs the less likely they get used and the safer the city is. I dont feel comfortable living somewhere that is drug invested. Not only can drugs kill the persons using them but many drug addicts have history of not always paying their drug dealers and one way drug dealers punish them for it is setting their house on fire. And I wouldnt want to live in that kind of area.
Atlanta- "The city to busy to hate". If you want to make it in the international business world, Atlanta is the place to be. Forget the hate, come see for yourself and you will be amazed.
Atl is my dream place I'm from a small little town on the eastern shore. I'm a hairstylist still learning is there good salons that take beginners I also have my cna is there any nursing job my fiance and I have no kids about to get married in jan and would love to start a new life
And its not just ATL its a lot of cities in this country going down hill or already down hill.
I want a loft, downtown. With a garage please.
I Love. Atlanta i moved there for a year and had to jet back to Cali Sf Bay Area and im heading back to Atlanta in May i love Georgia...... just need to choose the next city i will live ....... stay in Kennesaw then Ellenwood i will say people are not that friendly and please dont say your from Cali i think they dislike us but hey i I LOVE ATLANTA GA
...just bring common sense, your education, and don't get caught up in all the club drama, definitely stay away from the drugs and you will be ok....i lived there before the economy took a dump....
atl seems to be a big city without all the stress of new york...and the bling bling of miami or L.A from a foreigner point of view.
NICE PEOPLE, HATE THE WEATHER. YOU NEED A CAR TO GO MOST PLACES. A LOT CHEAPER THAN SF. COULD NOT FIND ANY MEXICAN, ITALIAN, OR CHINESE PLACES TO EAT ! NOT ENOUGH MULTI CULTURE. LOVED THE VARSITY ! LOVED CHRYSTAL MINI BURGERS, CNN CENTER, TOOK IN A GREAT BALL GAME AT TURNER FIELD. LOVE THE BRAVES AND FALCONS ! MARTA IS A LOT CLEANER THAN BART ! MY MOM LOVED IT , SHE WAS NOT HAPPY WHEN I CAME BACK TO SF ! EVERY PLACE HAS PROS AND CONS.
I could image since it's not in the south, plus the 3rd biggest city after NYC & LA
your city seems to be nice but the main thing missing there is obviously the seaside lol
plus you have hard winters up there in georgia don't you? lol
Can I just call you to say “Hello……Is it me you’ve been looking for”
atlanta best city ever real cheap
if u live in atlant or even any part of georgia its preety cool dont spit out your own opinion mabye your jelouse maby your not i dont care its my home and i am dear to it
too bad im a cali-girl.
Atlanta is much cheaper than the East coast, and your NYC hustle goes farther in Atlanta. Otherwise, I'm trying to remember why I moved here. I'm actually considering leaving.
@AspiringBlackLawyer N NO TROPICAL STORMS N HURRICANES..NO NO TRAGIC DEATHS FROM FLOODS..YEAH MIAMIS BETTER..LOL
Now this brilliant lady is talking politics.
B.S statistics. California is one of the poorest states in the country!!
Wow!!! With people like you, no wonder this great nation has problems! And please spare me your rhetoric! I'll be bored in seconds!
Don't move to Atlanta people. Its overrated. New York, Boston, LA. Seattle. San Fransisco. Miami. Chicago are all better places than Atlanta. The city of Atlanta sucks. Not impressed. The city has very little culture. Trust me.
Wanna-be New York City at it's best.
Ive been checking the apartment guides and saw apartments in Atlanta for around $400 a month. Downtown Atlanta Im sure the apartments are much more expensive but outside of downtown they are alot cheaper. Thats how alot of cities are. But the Northeast apartments are expensive even in the suburbs. And MD they constantly raise taxes.
