This is a full review of the Zen Can Signature 6XX Balanced Headphone Amp AND the Sennheiser HD6XX Headphones. The Zen Can Signature 6XX is specifically made for the Sennheiser HD6XX headphones. Ifi sent me this equipment for 30 days to try out and give my results and I can this an AMAZING and AFFORDABLE combination. Are you hooking this up to your stereo receiver or amp or directly to your turntable? Turntables don’t have outputs do they? Why couldn’t you just get a long cable and connect to your headphone out on your amp?

Great Qs. TTs do have outputs but the volume is very low. Going direct into an amp you need a boasted signal. So a pre amp or phono stage is required that then goes into the amp. My amp does not have a headphone output. Nor does it have more then one aux output. So I go from the balanced out of the phono stage to the headphone amp. A lot of intergrated amps have headphone outputs …mine does not.
Hey, random comment. I was interested in the camera you use and I noticed that this link is wrong in the video description - it goes to your amp instead of the camera. Anyway based on your lens I’m guessing Sony A7iii or something like that?

Thanks for watching and the heads up the wrong link. I currently use the Sony FX3 but I have used all the Sony Alpha Cameras and they are all great.

I have the RT81 turntable, I have them running to some powered speakers which have built in amp. But I have the same issue with wanting to listen in the evening without waking everyone. What would I need to hook up to some headphones but still have connection to my powered speakers. My goal is to not have to unplug and plug cables when wanting to listen to the desktop speakers. Also any other cheaper options when it comes to headphone amps, looking to spend no more than 150. Thanks your suggestions are appreciated!

So this one is the iFi Zen Can SIGNATURE - designed specifically for the Senheisser 6XX headphones - iFi also carries a "general" Zan Can Headphone Amp - that is on sale at the moment (on their site) for $150. It's the same thing without the EQ curve adjustment for the Senheisser headphones - Im sure it sounds really good. The way mine is hooked is using the balanced out on my phono stage - so I have a normal out going to my Amp, and then balanced out going to the Headphone amp. otherwise you would need two outputs of some kind one to go the Amp/powered speakers and one to the Headphone amp.

what is your budget? check out the Fluance line. The lowest end RT80 is still pretty nice and you can upgrade components later on.

I should probably make a video about this! The Fluance RT80, Project Turntables - you cant go wrong if you are willing to have separate components (which you should) the Ifi Zen Phono or the Ifi Zen Air Phono are both great options. Form there you will need an amp and speakers, you can go with Fluance Powered speakers and get around the amp - but I personally would go with a sep. Amp like the Douke Audio/Ayima options - they are cheap but good - and then get some Bookshelf speakers - I would go with Sony SSCS5's. Hope that helps!

@@eduardomagana3158yo this is a bit late but the rega planar 1 is seen by many people as the best turntable under $500 being only around 250 to 300. its great mainly because of the ton arm which is amazing but theres many other great things about it
