I already have a Wii U but it is nice to see people talking about the Wii U. My favorite Wii U game is Super Mario Maker.

Yes! And it's a great game on the Wii U because of the touch screen pad. Perfect example of a game that makes the Wii U great. Thank you.

I bought mine in 2020 and don't regret it!

The Wii U is the ultimate Nintendo console. Once you mod it, you can play every Nintendo game before it and then some. It's a great way to play some Switch big hitters for a fraction of the price and the few games that still aren't on the Switch. Although, Nintendo Network is closing this year it had the advantage of free online, which had some great games to choose from such as MK8, Splatoon and Black Ops 2.

The sound effects in this video are amazing

I got my wiiU april of last year and its pretty good considering i never had one before therefore i never experienced the disappointment of the slow library.

I’m really wanting to sell my Xbox one for a Wii U as I never use my Xbox one. I’ll come back if I ever do. Update: I didn’t sell anything but I did get a Wii!

I ordered a Wii u the other day. Missed out playing it as a kid as I chose a new 3ds xl instead. The one I ordered has over 100 games on it so I’m super keen to play on it

The fact I come across this video when buying a Wii U!!! I never owned one and got to experience the games so this will be new to me, the games I’m getting are New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U, plus Mario Maker!

The Wii U is badass, I mostly played CoD Black ops 2 on it, Those were some great days.

Still have mines I got both the Zelda hd remasters beautiful games

I got the Wii U in April of last year and the only thing I regret is not buying the cables sooner (since the was several months were U had the console but not the cables). I have a soft spot flr this console along side the 3ds with a lot of childhood memories and like the 3ds is one of my favorite consoles of all time ( I unironically prefer the Wii U over the switch) Nice to see people cherising the console again

Oh, and Wii games look BETTER on a Wii with an HDMI adapter than they do on vWii on a Wii U with its HDMI adapter. That's been proven at GBATemp. Don't even argue with me.

For any wanting to play StarFox listen carefully, don't play the main story first. Go to training mode and spend about two hours learning the controls, because the motion controls are kinda complicated. There's a minus button that swap screens and you have the ability to turn the motion controls on or off in the pause menu. It's easier to shoot everyone in first person mode, where as all ranged mode is easier for avoiding enemies.

Most of these were horrible selling points tbh, but can we talk about the gem that is KIRBY AND THE RAINBOW CURSE??? Never ported to switch, extremely fun and underrated, also ADORABLE. Also the original Splatoon, New Super Mario Bros U, and Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival (if you’re into masochism).

I dont know for sure, I'm not the person to ask unfortunately. But you can't download new games from the store as it is closed so you might as well keep those games on the system.

BUT LISTEN. I am having trouble picking between a wii and a Wii u the issue is?. The fact that the Wii u has been reported to being bricked and I’m scared of that happening again that’s happened to me 2 TIMES ON BOTH OF MY WII US, they don’t work anymore so now I’m thinking? Wii u or Wii?

Wii is a great console the only problem with the Wii is the a/v cable hook ups not working on modern t.v.s but you can buy an hdmi converter. Just make sure you buy a wii that is backwards compatible with gamecube games. Find a wii with 4 gamecube controller ports under the flap.

The Wii Us that have been bricking is becuase they have nand chips which are made by Hynix and die after a couple if years (The nand chip was manufactured by Samsung, Toshiba or Hynix and you can use wiiuident to check for this information). The Wii U can play Gamecube games (via isos/roms using a program like nintendon't) since the Gamecube, Wii and Wii U all run on the same artichure (that being power pc) but it cannot use Gamecube discs or memory cards since Nintendo decided to omit that feature but you can use hamecube controllers using the gamecube controller adapter that was released with smash 4, but you cannot use them for wii games that support gamecube controllers (such as Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros Brawl etc) or virtual console games. I personally have both a Wii (that is backwards comparable) and a Wii U and use the Wii for anything Wii and prior and the Wii U for Wii U stuff so you're probably best of going with the Wii with a hdmi adapter and a retrotink5x for the best pitcure quality

That's the main point, your computer dosent have the game pad, it is a completely different game on OEM.

If you want one really bad I'd say yes. But make sure it has all the cables and the sensor bar. I'd also try to find one with controllers unless you have some wii controllers around the house. Last thing to consider is the black console and pad is 32 gb where the white one is only 8gb. All that said 85 isn't fair from fair market value. I use pricecharting.com for evaluations.

I cannot believe that ANYONE can seriously believe the Wii U failed "because people just thought it was a controller pad for the Wii." Four years. They had four years to figure out that it was a console. Plenty of ads for it, plenty of reviews for it and its games and NOT ONE claimed it was an add-on for the Wii." Just stop with that nonsense as it is VERY embarrassing for YOU! And frankly, given the popularity of the Wii, it likely would have sold BETTER if it had been mistaken for a Wii add-on! You gamerboys never understood why the Wii won the 7th Gen, and because you don't, you also don't get why the Wii U failed. Nintendo deserved the Wii Win and deserved the Wii U failure. It created a new market and then ignored it. And paid the cost.

Understandably, yes but the wii u is made with it in mind. So a wii hdmi converter will stretch the screen or have bars on the side for a wii.

Yeah no, the Wii U Gamepad is dumb expensive for the price.. If it wasn't insanely priced it would be worth it

Most Wii consoles play Gamecube games end you have a lot of good end cheap adoptors for HD tv's. Thats whey people keap there Wii.
