Don't forget the 11th reason. Because he knew and understood the old and new testaments better than most clergymen did then and now
Couldn't agree more. I have been very fascinated by this man for the past 6 months or so and have dived in to some of his writings. Incredibly brilliant man, and I'm surprised the influence that he holds today and the influence that he has had on so many....As I have often said in regard to different paths " All roads lead to or through Crowley." Thanks for the video.
Excellent arguments and great presentation.
Very well said. Good exposition.
Thank you, for encouraging me to delve deeper into the. works of Aleister Crowley.
Thank you.
people need to separate the man and his work

And let’s not forget no-one can be taken out of their era. Some of Crowley’s personal discriminations were held by most of the people of his time. Churchill for example had more than a bit of racism about him and misogyny as well, but! Without Winston Churchill the Nazi’s might have won the War. People forget this point.

A man of his time. Crucifying a frog changed the world.
Great Master. To Mega Therion!
I think you'll find his three main statements from The Book of the Law, have quite different meanings apart from the ones you give & they relate to each other being about sexual magick, as well as the spelling of Magick he adopted, 6 letters not 5, a hexagram not a pentagram & not composed of fire & water. Clue, the descending dove in the seal of the O.T.O. is wilt.
great topic and presentation. crowley was the timothy leary of his time.
Thank you so much for this video, your manner of telling is very lovely! What you shared here really helped me to change my mind about Aleister Crowley after hearing so many bad things about him. Now I will dig deeper into his philosophy and read his books! 🫶💕Love you.
I read Israel Regardi's version of his books. It is missing an important part of a book that pertains a totally dark room for over 24 hours to work. Some one performed that ritual on youtube, that person is supposed to be rich, according to him.
you should read about austin osman spare. He worked with him in the golden dawn but i believe he knew alot more than him. Read his book called "the book of pleasure."
Been reading him since 1992

Ok i understand, i should read Crowley, but with which book i could start?

The best one to start with is probably Book 4. It's fairly short but is a quick and dirty rundown of ceremonial magick. Then the intro to the lesser key of Solomon "The initiated interpretation of ceremonial magick." Then big blue "Magick book 4 and Liber ABA."

@@Conjunctio wow, book 4 costs 200€ in my language. What is with Magick 1&2 ?
@Conjunctio

@@totostegemoe1214 Yeah, unfortunately Magick (big blue) is a bit on the expensive side. That said, it's well worth the reading. To answer your question, the book itself is broken into 4 distinct parts: Mysticism, Magick (Elemental Theory), Magick in theory and practice, and then The Book of The Law and accompanying explanations and rites.

Did Aliester Crowley teach his pupils to write with their non dominant hand?

13:10 there you go again.. BRAINWASHED! Smgdfh Anyways, I always wanted to have a great movie about Crowley, but it’s still not available! (Unbelievable)
10:04 too vague! Yes, I’m playing critic right now. lol
I Love you bro. Seriously! But Aleister Crowley was an absolute monster and his writings are a revelation of what would end the existence of the universe if not held in check. Literally. The principles of His writings are the working of the very deceptive powers that are rushing this age to a turning point largely to the soon destruction of many and most. For what it’s worth, beware and reconsider. Blessings to you my friend and my brother!

@@TheHoundLair which god?
@6:05 hahaha I'm not sure if Crowley is anti-semitic. Have you read his writing on the jewish question? He wants them to be more jewish not less.
At the 12 minute mark, you discuss his work on the lower states of consciousness. Where can I find that? And also where does he discuss finding the limits of the self?
I used DMT or rather Ana/ayahuasca, as well as all the usual psychedelics on countless occasions when I was younger. When I read Crowley’s writings on the Ouija board I found his descriptions of how elementals behaved uncannily close to how the lower order DMT entities behaved and found his descriptions fascinating. My expeiences with psyches didn't make me religious exactly but I did come to understand the emotionally parasitic nature of metaphysical demons that had on occasions utterly taken me over (psychosis) simply by playing on and manipulating my deepest subconscious fears. Funny thing is, I would try DMT again some day but kinda hesitate to use the Ouija board...

Look, I know everyone rags on him for his terrible book White Stains, but the Vision and the Voice is a master work. The Book of the Law too is wickedly impressive. It took me some time but I'm really coming around to his other stuff too.

@@Conjunctio Leah Sublime may subtract some points from the brilliant poet category. But people will dismiss him as a poet due to one incredibly perverse poem while others will celebrate him and say it was a sign of his Magical Enlightenment....Crowley Drama LOL.
