Q:What camera do you use?
A: I use the Go Pro Hero 7 Black Edition primarily. Often times you will see auxillary cameras in use. Those cameras include The Go Pro Hero 6, Hero, and DJI Mavic Pro Platinum
Q: How big Is your rotator?
A: It is a 50 ton Miller Industries Vulcan 950
Q: Does the carriage slide back like Ron Pratt's?
A: No, the carriage doesn't slide back due to strict weight laws in California. The sliding carriage will make the truck to heavy in CA
Q: Why do you only have 3 winches on the rotator?
A: Comes down to weight again as stated above
Q: How many trucks Does Plaza Towing have?
A: Currently more than 30
Q: Why must the driveshaft be removed to tow a vehicle?
A: When vehicles are not running the transmission is not receiving circulating lubricant. If the driveshaft is left installed, the transmission, which is not receiving lubricant, is still spinning. This allows it to get very hot which eventually will cause major damage to the transmission. Therefore, removing the driveshaft completely eliminates the transmission from spinning. Simply leaving it in neutral is not sufficient since the transmission still spins in neutral.

I always told drivers that anytime they had left their truck unattended to leave the trailer brakes on and back up first then try to pull forward.
The tug test could have saved them a lot of time and no damages!
They probably have busted springs in the brake chambers. I always tug to make sure that trailer is locked to tractor, check that parking brakes are holding and to check that service brakes are working
Fuel stations could put cameras on the fuel pits to suppress this kind of stuff. But knowing how despicable people can be, not even the prospect of going to jail will stop some of them.
Nice relaxed video to watch. Maybe next time, moving equipment like dozers or Tractors.
To make sure you are hooked up before you wind the landing gear and don't leave trailer be hind or in the middle of the road somewhere 😊
This is why I love the heavy 5th wheel on my heavy haul rig. It's got the dual pulls and they don't want to release unless there is zero tension on them.
Looks like the land gear was securely attached, you could see the skid marks on the payment.
I once briefly thought about pranking a friend of mine by pulling his fifth wheel. I ultimately decided against it, but if I had done it, I would have gone the full mile: I would have extended the landing gear and uncoupled the air and electric too. The look on his face as he leaves his trailer behind might be priceless, having to call a tow company (and a repair shop for the glad hands and electric) very much isn't...
Gotta love rotators!
Damn these exploding jaws. Smart, put pallets under the trailer to stop it tipping further.
A simple interlock detection system would prevent this type of incident. Like a neutral safety switch.
Excellent work as always
Thanks Trent
They didn;t even try to crank the gear, while you had it in the air? I hope the CHP inspected those brakes!
keep the clips coming
Those are Chep rental/lease pallets

Four (dudes) just standing around? Why is always a group decision what to do I’m not trying to point out but it’s always those fellas. 🤷♂️🤦🏻♂️
Nice video. Keep'em ijwer
was up with all the trailer impounds? abandoned?
Don't worry I'm always tugging when I'm hauling
Great video! Are you interested in vehicle accessories sponsorship?
Video tape?
Is that a Miller century or a Vulcan?

Technically it’s a Vulcan 950, identical to a century 1150, both made by miller
Im guessing a tug test wouldn't have helped much with barely functioning trailer brakes.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌️😎💯
To everyone saying they needed a tug test, the trailer brakes are inop. Tug test wont do anything.
