I love Rams! I keep a group in a 75 south American tank! Excellent fish!

My husband and I have a Ram tank, Mbuna tank and a black angel tank. The Ram tank is as peaceful as the angel tank. Because of your videos, my husband and I wanted to raise Cichlids. Watching them grow is a lot of fun. Continue to make videos and he and I will continue to watch them. Thank you.

Oh I love these! Setting up a 20 gallon after the new year, looking for ideas. I had a bad experience with my tiger barbs and have been waiting to set the tank up again😞 I have a couple of large convict cichlids in a 40 gallon doing well though!

My Bolivians colored up as juveniles after 3 weeks of having 83 degree water. Geophagus tapajos as well. Highly suggest warmer waters for all geos and mikrogeos

I have no problems keeping discus fish, but I just can't keep rams alive for more than half a year. They seem to be EXTREMELY sensitive to water quality, far, far more than literally any fish I ever kept. They all seem fine for some time, even try to breed, and then one day, for NO apparent reason just start breathing abnormaly fast and... die. And that saddens me greatly since there's almost no other fish that can match the beauty of long-finned electric blue/gold rams.

Kribensis are usually suggested as a "substitute" in this case. Get they're not the same thing, but if you want a small Cichlid with a manageable level of aggression, they seem to be more resilient than Rams.

@@Smoshylife Neons and Cardinals have unfortunately also been overproduced and man of them are considerably weaker than they once were. Check the water too, the latters expecially needs it to be soft and acidic (neutral at the very least - Never above 7°!).

Really love German blue rams, one of my all time favorite fish, but unfortunately a little beyond my abilities If I had to get a dwarf cichlid for my tank I’d most likely choose a bolivian ram or a kribensis if I can find them
