PRP is like the Aussie/NZ version of Mines. All their products have extensive R&D and have been proven. They'll be legendary in a decades time.
Great video and product!! Can you please do a video on throttle bodies? 6 v's 1 on the Rb. I want to go single fly by wire but i'm worried it will mess up my low end road manners, i know it looks much cleaner but pro's and cons would be great.

Patience my friend. It is coming soon
Awesome product and super well thought out ! Man PRP is absolutely top notch stuff. Funny how people don’t realize how crucial slotted cam gears are and how it is a MUST, when dialling in crank to cam position. With proper belt defection. Your PRP engineering is like the finely made factory Ducati tooling only better ! Thank you for the love you put into your products fit/finish and it’s beautiful quality 🤘🏼👊🏻
Herman flexing the torque bar was a sight to behold!
Awesome ideas & execution going into this product - As always - Well Done 👍🏽
These are so perfect, they address every issue you can have with other brands. Thankyou for the well engineered products you guys make. Now we need a video on how to properly degree cams.
Another incredible product, love the thought process and engineering that goes into it.
Finally someone giving some love to the good CA18! Gonna get a pair for my lil boy from Spain!👌
Very helpful video and your cam gears seem to be a great deal better than other options on the market!!
You know the video’s gonna be great when Herman is in it 🤘
That purple would match very well to the purple exterior and engine accents I’ve been using on my 1J TT SC300 (LHD Soarer Clone). I may need to place an order.
Ok now I want these on all my cars, thanks Herman!
Mint video , keen for the jz series of cam gears to drop
Thanks Herman excellent product, well throughout.
great features! nice work
Are you going to release anything for the Honda enthusiast, I was excited about this segment with this cam gear design myself. Hopefully you do something in the near future, I would love to buy a cam gear trigger setup once I get my skunk2 ultra cams.
Great idea, awesome product!
If you are tuning an old engine without cam phasing, adjustable gears are great! Do remember to properly torque the adjustment bolts and loctite them once adjusted. Also always check fit before running em. I've seen em lopsided and with gear grooves cut too shallow. Also don't trust the timing marks, degree them yourself. I'm just glad you can buy em for most cars now, I used to have to make em myself out of 2 OEM gears.
@Turbo_Tractors

Dont have to Loctite them with PRP, as he displayed you’re little RB isn’t going to spin one of those let alone 5 adjustment bolts with the locking mechanism they designed.
Nice design and engineering. Is it easy indexing the toothed locking washer against the gradations? Looks like it's 3-4 gradations wide.
2JZs are Beautiful!
Great video!
I put my half worn put moon shaft for my cas exhaust cam on to my inlet side and my spare exhaust cam in replacement. I picked up a extra 50hp on my mini RB or the mosted hated engine the CA18DET 100 bucks say what ya want but my 300hp daily 180SX is still rockn hard for the last 22ys.

Only hated by those Sr tractor engine fans.
While convenient (and I use them on my CA18 and SR20,) there is always a chance they'll slip. Having solid pullies with multiple keyways or the camshaft drilled with multiple dowel pin holes gives the same adjustability, but removes the chance of slippage. Going forward I'll be having my cams drilled with multiple dowels, as I've done for my KA24DE and just use OEM gears. Why not have cam gears exposed: Gravel traps... Gravel traps... (keep the shroud's on ;) )
I am kindly requesting if you could make a bespoke vid on what you do for rb25det. Cheers
Seen that on an evo that wouldn't start, timing was out as it was timed to the vernier mark not timing mark. Lucky it didn't interfere and just reset timing and it was algood.
please make cam gears for VG30 engines. I love my 300zx. I already have adjustable gears, but they are made using existing gears as core. Your engineering work is amazing. PLEASE PLEASE support the VG30. It gets so little love...
Fabulous product.🙏❤️
Beauty products 🤟🏼
Great features
Good demo on the hard coating. Using a belt instead of sandpaper might have been more relevant for the audience. Also more smelly!

Gotta love honda vtc
Took me a second to translate "alley gear"...I thought that was a different term for another type of gear. Figured out it's Australian for Aluminum 😅
@notsponsored103
Жыл бұрын
It's Herman for Aluminium. I've never heard it before either and I live there. Most other Aussies just say alloy too.
If you have VVTI intake would you only need exhaust adjustable
what makes these better then AEM Tru-Time which are considered the highest quality cam gears you can get on the market @ only $230 for both gears and are also hard anodized like yours and you want $435 for one gear $755 for two for yours, man good luck with that
Do you have cam gears available for the 2003 Hyundai Tiburon 2.7L v6?
Any plans for a 4age version?
finding it hard to find adjustable sprockets (chain driven) for the B204/B234 Saab engine if anyone has any ideas as where to find some.
Do barras need these?
Anything for SR20's in the pipeline?
Wheres the love for the RB25DET S1
So I should get an R34 with a NEO engine?
Do some for EJ207
I didn't see if it was compatible with there fuel pump gear and trigger cam they just came out with
Nice😉👍👍
*looks at my 1UZ race car with stock cams and cam gears* Well now xD
I'm sure Dustin Williams has already sent this video to Tommy Fyeah?!? ;)
How about an adjustable alluminium outer for the vct cam gear or a completely alluminium vct cam gear
@daneprostamo-brown6552
Жыл бұрын
You can adjust an oem vct cam gear it’s just a huge pain because you have to take the gear off, make a change, reinstall and then do a dyno pull. You can also just degree it to crank 0 as a start point
@samuelmdouglas
Жыл бұрын
@@daneprostamo-brown6552 there's also a kit to make it adjustable from boost doc, but it would likely be beneficial to lighten them up and make them easier to adjust

@@radio9730. Man, I'm running 1300 plus kw to the wheels here, anything that can negate block twist to that level is a great investment! Billet caps don't do shit at those torque and boost levels! Nonames are always a gamble, but you gotta loctite the bolts when you're done adjusting them.
Pass on PRP products. Selling other's stuff to then make it and sell it as their own ( spline drive and alternator LS1 (kind of)), many many revision to parts, and crappy anodizing. Their aluminum parts look like they are machined from cheap Chinese Aluminum.. I ain't saying Made in Australia is bad since I've had great RB stuff from other made in Australia companies. I stick to smaller companies specializing in an area of Engine/car and not an assortment of parts. Never been let down. .. Better quality... If you think PRP is the best, you're not looking hard enough.
