Why You NEED a Verbos Electronics SCAN & PAN

Музыка

This video we're looking at the Verbos Electronics module. I talk about the features, show example patches on how to utilize this module, and my favorite things about it. After creating the start of a track, hopefully this demonstrates why it is a great module to add to your eurorack synth collection!

    I just found your videos, they're immensely helpful in understanding what I can do with my modules, as I'm still early in my modular journey. Also, apparently we're neighbors! Excited to hear and see more from you!

    Good video. One thing I wished you showed was turning that gain knob to impart saturation, e.g. using a couple of drum samples and synth sounds. Maybe in a follow-up video? cheeers

    Good stuff. Automation skit had me cracking up. Def gonna pick up this module. Seems perfect for what I'm looking for. One question for ya: is that one or two tiptop mantis cases? And did you paint them black?

  • @Nematomusic

    @Nematomusic

    2 жыл бұрын

    It’s just one. At the time I had a 5 row (15u), 126 hp per rail custom case next to the Mantis. Yes I painted it black…which I wish I would’ve spent a little more time on 😅 The power supply in those is super easy to remove so I just spray painted it black. Wish I would’ve used a better clear coat to protect it, but I sorta rushed it to get the modules back in. Overtime the paint started chipping and I eventually just built my large case for my studio now!

    @@Nematomusic future tip...painting is kinda one of my things...moreso than modular haha...krylon fusion spraypaint is the best hands down for plastic...2 or 3 light coats then a wetter final coat so finish is nice and even...no need for clearcoat.

  • @Nematomusic

    @Nematomusic

    With the Zadar? I’d have to nitpick, but I wish there was a way I could create my own envelopes, but with the 270 that are in there and modulation, I don’t know that it would add much. I’m not much for menu diving, but it’s really an easy module to navigate and tons of modulation capabilities in only 10 hp!

    It's not exactly the same but it feel like the make noise X-pan could do similare things with the paning. I didnt realy get what the scan part was but is it similare thant the x-fade ?

  • @Nematomusic

    @Nematomusic

    Жыл бұрын

    For sure! Very similar designs with slightly different executions, and I would argue this one gives you a little more. “Scan” is definitely like X-fade, just across all four channels instead of two, plus you have the “attenuator” options of width and center to kind of define where it’s scanning from in the stereo field and how far/wide. PLUS! individual panning control and modulation across the 4 channels. It can get wild! 🤙🏼

    Does it crossfade as such or is the fading between the channels pretty abrupt? Can you use CV on the VCA channels at the same time as the scan functionality?
