The development of fiber optic technology was the result of the work of many researchers and engineers over several decades. However, some of the key pioneers in fiber optics include Charles K. Kao, Robert D. Maurer, Peter C. Schultz, and Donald Keck. Charles K. Kao is often referred to as the "Father of Fiber Optics" because of his groundbreaking work in the 1960s, which demonstrated that light could be transmitted over long distances through a thin strand of glass fiber. His research led to the development of practical fiber optic communication systems that revolutionized the telecommunications industry. Robert D. Maurer, Peter C. Schultz, and Donald Keck also made important contributions to the development of fiber optic technology. In 1970, they invented a method for making high-purity glass fibers that greatly improved the efficiency and reliability of fiber optic communication systems. So, while Kao is often credited with being the "Father of Fiber Optics," the development of this technology was truly a collaborative effort that involved the work of many talented researchers and engineers.

There are many things Indians invented or discovered, which are never acknowledged My thanks to him for the great invention, and thank you for creating this video I do remember my country had fibreoptics installed in the early 1980s as a revolutionary product at cheap prices by Japan

Yes, the reason they were not acknowledged was because west took credit for it

West took credit for so many indian inventions one if then being infinite and inverse tangent series in calculus. Different surgical instruments they took credit for and wireless communication. I can go on and on but it is a long list.
