I am planning to buy bg e22 grip for canon eos r, but hvae a question. I have canon 7d with grip but thre is a space between the camera and grip which shows that its is not westger sealed as the moisture and dust can go through camera battery compartment, any one can guide me wether it is the case with canon eos r grip or not? Thanks in advance

Just bought a 2nd hand EOS 600D The attendent Battery grip has no tray for 2 X LP-E8 only 6 X AA. I'm guessing the time from the latter will be NO match for the former. Is it worth me buying a whole new grip for the sake of the missing tray?

Is it possible to charge 2 batteries via regular usb-c cable or Canon special charger is needed? And how to change focus points using grip? It looks like too far away :D

Yeah, the video shows a grip. Basically any Canon Grip and how to mount it... Would be so nice to see at least some unique features like USB-C, off-camera charging, etc. But it seems like this is the first Canon Grip that the author had seen in his life. :) And IG pics are usually square so the grip does nothing here really.

This grip comes with a built-in usb c charger so you will not need Canon's special charger to charge both batteries; it's the reason why it's a bit heavier that other grips. Since the usb c port in the body is not powered, a simple work around is to take your MacBook Pro charger and plug it into the port if you do not have the grip.

  • @neilt11

The grip includes the canon usb c charger in the box. Plug the charger into a socket and use the attached usb c cable to plug into the port on the grip.

Haven’t tried it yet but I’m assuming could use my MacBook usb c charger just as you can use to charge the R. I think you just need a PD (Power Delivery) charger.

Carrying a handful of batteries (840mah). $25ea? Or buy a $85 grip, that uses a 2x 2600- 3000mah battery that cost $2-6each. I have 10. That I use to power my crane 2 and the m50.
