Algorithm must hide it bcz he speaking facts and conscious teenagers which are the most affective part in the society and if this kind of contents gets viral then creators will start doing the same and then consciousness about how porn can mess up your life will increase and with that porn industry will fall 🤔 Makes sense ? Idk but i know he's doing something very illegal against porn industry

I agree with this entirely. I remember once I hid my switch under my bed so I could play a game at 1 AM. Now this is incredibly unhealthy and might have been a sign of addiction. I never felt it 3-4 years later, I stopped being hyped about games. I just stopped looking stuff up. I was like "I don't really wanna buy any games right now" and I thought it was good but really my system was numb

I'm exactly in the same situation as yours, and I suspect depression of having made me feel this way about media overall. I used to be really addicted to video games and somehow completely lost interest in them, which is absolutely awesome since I don't have to worry about being addicted, but saddening because I cannot seem to feel joy in a form of media that quite literally built my personality. It became a problem because I started to have nothing to share with my friends, which ended up with them leaving me on the side because I had no interest in gaming.

This makes so much sense to me. There have been times in my life I go on vacation for two weeks and it changes me greatly. I remember one time being so bored without electronics at the beach that I literally went to a local book store and bought books to read. That's right, on vacation I was reading books and enjoying them. I hate to read most of the time. There have been other times where I go on vacation and I was completely content playing video games, but as soon as I didn't have the stress and obligation of looking at work email and all that stuff I literally just chilled out and was happy doing nothing on vacation. I was happy watching old 1960s commercials or drawing pictures, things I would never do when I was stimulated. There is a lot of truth in this video and I forget a lot how much things like social media influence my life and put me in zombie mode.

Part 2 is so true tho. I feel like that's what is demotivating me most of the time. I know that I have college stuff to do and everytime I play games (or even go to the gym) I feel guilty for not doing college stuff. It's as if they manipulated me into thinking, that college is the one and only thing that should ever exist in my life and everything else in life is a waste of time. You know it's bad when you can't even enjoy the GYM. Something, that's contributing to your health.

I'm 32 right now. I started off with the Philips CD-I in the early 90s. Gameboy color/advance, ps1 to 5, xbox & 360, Nintendo 64 i had all of em. I enjoyed playing games up until the early 2010s. In my early 20s I was still getting excited for new releases, but the fun only lasted for a few hours for the most games, while the industry was way more developed. I have played games that are considered to be old trash today for years bacl then and I had way more fun than I have today. As a Assassins Creed fan, i got bored from playing Odyssey, Origins and Valhalla after a few hours. They just felt boring. Same thing with God of War, Ghost Recon, Shadow of War, RDR2 and many more AAA titles. Now I still get hypes for future releases like Hogwarts Legacy or AC Mirage for example but I know I will never have fun playing it after the first few hours. Its been a while since I have completed a AAA game.

And the rise in mental disease that is happening right now, after the pandemic, is probably related to people coming back to the real world after being completely mesmerized by stuff you do on a screen, nonstop. Stay healthy dudes and dudettes.

This is a great video, and it gave me a lot of new ideas. That said though... I haven't played videogames for 3 years. And whenever I try to get back into it.... I can't really find a game that looks fun anymore. Lot's of games feel the same nowadays. And it's like there's way more of a template going on with entertainment than it was before. While I'm convinced the dopamine story plays a great role in this. I also believe maybe things are a bit different with how entertainment is made nowadays... That said, I am a multimedia designer, and I do a lot of creative projects in my free time. So far being creative in visuals, storywriting, music, and creating experiences...still I've me a lot of satisfaction. Even if you're not artistic, I can recommend it to everyone. Because it will also change your way on how you experience a boring trainride. All of a sudden you make connections with what you see, and what you want to create. :D

This is very eye opening! I was wondering why for years why I lost my passion and desire overall to keep playing video games in my mid twenties. I thought it was just because I was getting older. It was no longer fun hardly. Up until recently I started playing again and now I'm having fun again, It's different, and also my perspective It's a little different. I'm 32 now. I took a break for years, and then I would play once in awhile maybe a month, and then a few months would go by and I would play it again, maybe for an hour or two. And I couldn't enjoy it as much. Then I almost took over a year off of playing games completely just because I wasn't having fun anymore. And now I'm actually having fun again! Crazy. I feel like a kid again 90% of the time.

This is so true, but the only problem is that it actually happens with everything, for example I was enjoying my new job a lot I would actually wake up excited to go to work etc and when I finished work I would be bored and just want to go to work, then after a while I got sick of that too, it’s almost like you can’t enjoy anything sometimes, anything enjoyable will eventually become un enjoyable, maybe a new girl you meet, eventually you’ll get tired of her or more tired of her, it’s a strange thing how our brains work, it’s almost like we are too smart for our own selves. We’ve created a world where we have everything we want and yet we all hate it basically.

I would aruge younger people are generally much more easily amused and entertained than older. This video is very good but there are also other factors that comes into play, games have changed alot compared to when I was younger, and the structure in them is similarly designed to the social media platforms whose main purpose is to be as addictive as possible. As vincentvalentine4580 said, the primary focus of video games have shifted from being fun to being addictive, and there is a distinction between the two. Also as you get older, you generally get more experienced and smarter, which is why simple video games loses their appeal.

I take a break, and I am more busy than just my school days. When I get back home , I try to play a game. Unfortunately, I don't feel it. I lost interest in about 20 minutes or less. Total bummer. In the end, I am just chilling after taking my dogs out and having quality time with them before bedtime.

Yes, this is exactly the problem. There's other videos on this topic but some will just say to play a different type of game to make things feel fresh again.

I bet it all on weed, video games and anime to stay out of my head. Corporatization has ruined all 3 😢 I started revisiting what used to make me happy. OG early 000s adult swim blocks and og pokemon games on the DS when im not chasing the puppy I rescued lol.

This might be a weird comparison to the latest parts of the video, but you can look at the How much time you use as fun as the amount of money in a country. If the country does not limit itself and prints money everyday it makes the currency or money itself a lot Worse and less valuable, when you have fun all day everyday that makes your dopamin not as valuable

What about people who did l.s.d and other super stimulating drugs, is it possible they ruined their dopamine system and no matter how much they retain from high dopamine activities for the rest of their life they'll never be the same again? What your opinion about that?

I've been playing gta V and gta online for over 5 years but recently a the enjoyment was drained away cos of my fears of becoming a "loser" but i think video games shouldn't make you feel that way, that's an unhealthy way to play them, i've seen so many people playing Games and having fun with their friends and never ever thought of the games being something that destroys their life. The issue o had is that i replaced my life with games when i was a kid and now i want to replace the games with my life.

I would say the biggest factors are we are getting older, some of us are just burned out on video games, and some of us feel insulted by having the game hold my hand as I play the game. Do I play games? Yes I do, but with my responsibilities there is only so much time I can spend on gameplay per day, so I really am not in the MMORPG market at this point because I just can’t afford to be part of that. I mostly just play the old games that I already own as a “puzzle solving” kind of enjoyment.

Gaming feels like a chore then to relax on. I still “game” but it’s usually an hour or less. I play on console, handheld consoles (like the switch) and mobile games like Roblox. I hate how everything got competitive, stuff gets unfinished, plagued with bugs and micro transactions, things being taken away from the game we paid for (Destiny 2 is a good example) and a plethora of other issues in the gaming world. I’m so done, and found myself just enjoying single player older games, and that’s it. The gaming industry became too corporate and cringe overall, sad what it’s become 💀

Well this is 100%true but please…. Look at all the releases from these years… everything is broken, no game comes out finished and if something is good they have to ruin it with Microtransactions. I still enjoy nfs mw 2005 more than all the games nowadays. But yes he is right this is really happening with our dopamine receptors.

Part of the problem is that most new big game titles are just repackaged versions of what's been being made for the past 20 years and have been designed specifically to give dopemine boosts as often as possible. You aren't pretending to be something you aren't for an hour or following a story, your snorting a line every five minutes with the next bit of loot or XP. Real life isn't as rewarding as it used to be. At least in my country, you can't just get a job out of highschool, or even college, where it's possible move up a company ladder and feel accomplished in life, and forget about raising a family. I agree with you that too much of anything is a bad thing and there's just a lot of everything all at once over the past decade. I'm not really a hardcore gamer per say, but I think video game/social media addiction is a symptom of our society, not the cause of the illness.

I played the audio in the background, guilty as charged. Reddit is an interesting one because I just was using it to find information now I doom scroll for information or something I find interesting. I've only tasted alcohol so I'm not worried about the dopamine from that lol. The Dark souls series never gave me a dopamine rush. But half life Alex game workshop contracts game left me ecstatic. So I'm looking for fast pace difficult core gameplay combat. So Doom series and Halo legendary difficulties are where my kicks are. No wonder why I like Halo 4's combat, it not fair.😂

I can play a game but, there's always this clock ticking and I physically know this time clock is ticking. It's like I could be doing something else, I just don't get it. I feel so bad because, I love games.
