WHY YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY BUYING CHEAP CAPACITORS!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

There is a saying that goes, "If you buy cheap, you buy twice!" That lesson can be applied to car audio, especially with capacitors. So often, companies market products that don't meet the expectations of its buyers. There are many battery capacitors on the market that are advertised as a chepaer option, however, often time that means that the productivity you will get from it maybe minimal if any. What you think you are purchasing can actually turn into a complete waste of money when you find out the durability of the product. We at Down4sound want to offer the best products, not the cheapest, and we want to show you what you are possibly being mislead into buying.
In this video, JP cuts open one of these capacitors for everyone to see what is actually inside, as requested by our channel subscribers. See not only how much money you save, but also the gap in quality between an off market product, and the Down4sound Super Capacitor Bank.
Be sure to check out the Down4sound Super Capacitor Bank on down4soundshp.com in the link below!

Better off getting a small power cell than a cap IMO. I was able to run a 2500watt rms system in a stock Honda civic with only a big3 upgrade and a small power cell by the amplifier. It had the stock alternator still and didn’t have no dimming, no issues of any kind.

I've been trying to tell people this for years. It's like talking to a brick wall most of the time though. A quick Google search will show you what gives a capacitor it's "capacitance". In simple terms, the size of the actual capacitor matters and they are out there selling big pop cans full of rubber and a voltmeter glued on top lmao.

I'm not too knowledgeable in car audio; I took some basic electrical classes in avionics. In my experience I think it depends on your application; my amp is rated @ 1000w. I installed a 2F cap and its eliminated the slight headlight dimming issue when kick drums hit. So far its been working just fine, but I'm willing to let the $40 go to waste to learn not to use these caps if I fell for the scam and do it right the second time.

So far a cap bank is somewhat in the near future . But it's definitely a must do and a mechman alternator . I paid $180. To have it put out more power got it back went to check it and all they did was change the brushes which I could've done myself . I still have these old style "stiffening" caps 2 of them and they suck even though they were the ones that when cut open actually had stuff wrapped inside which I believe were the Rockford and monster cable .

  • @shadresanford5146

And people don't understand the math that it takes 1 farad to equal 1 volt and 1000 farads is equal to 2.7 volts. So if you have lets say have 1500 watts total system for example you're actually not getting no activity after that first discharge. Added to that the recharge time is slow due to that cheap dielectric core. Can't believe people still buy that crap.. Good job JP!!

Though I do agree with most of what you are saying you are missing some issues. Not everyone upgrades their audio system to thump bass down the road, but are looking to go above their alternator's rated tolerance. In newer cars if your headlights are dimming you are effecting other electronic components as well. Something is better than nothing. I would never suggest a 1 farad, but telling someone to spend that much money on an electrical system upgrade or super/ultra cap for small stereo applications is overkill as well. Though it does seem like you cannot find any middle ground products these days. Just my thoughts.

Looks like I’ll be adding these caps to keep my HCCA 3000 happily feeding my Phoenix gold titanium elite 12D’s. Just installed my alpine Ine-w960hdmi to feed 4v to my audio control DM-810. So if all 6 cells together total 500 Farad does this means each cap is equivalent to about 83 farad? An is it possible to add one cell to to my car audio system instead of purchasing one of them FAKE capacitor

Looks dangerous. A newbie who inevitably improperly charges/discharges that cap array is going to be in for quite a surprise.

they been scamming on all car radio with "max power ratings" knowing a sub thats rated at 200 watts RMS ain't never gonna be 1500 watts max. Same thing with amps. I am glad we finally have a way to know what companies are lying. too bad they made tons of money for 2 decades before we figured it out.
