First the Hornet now this. I’m actually starting to agree with you lol. I have a Harley and a gen 3 MT-09 but I’ve barely ridden my Harley in the past 2 years since I got the MT. It instantly became my cruiser and favorite bike I’ve owned. Really my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned and I’ve had some pretty awesome car builds before bikes took over my life.

Nice! Honestly, I no longer see the point of traditional cruisers unless you are just a fan of the cruiser look and culture. Naked bikes offer much more fun and value.

Riding a Cruiser isn't about performance, the whole experience of riding a bike means different things to different people.

That is true. That is why I got the MT-07, not just about performance but a great ride and amazing sound track. Most of the riding people do is cruising. I feel like the MT-07 is one of the most versatile bikes you can buy and great bang for the buck along with being a super cheap bike to insure and maintain with bullet proof reliability,

You gotta try a Kawasaki z900. Has a bit more power than the MT-09 but is super smooth. They geared it low so it's a blast to ride at slower speeds and has good around town manners but is also ready to party if you give it some throttle!

Glad I found your channel just bought the exact same bike year and color and I love watching the content/mods and getting ideas on where to go with mine

I feel what you’re saying. You have a kinda unique definition going here for cruiser. You kinda ride unique in general. For riding around the city etc it’s a perfect bike. Cruisers make some sense once you start actually cruising on interstates and all but for this sort of riding you can’t really beat it especially for the price. That said you cant really go wrong with a ton of todays bikes

It depends on a rider's preferences. There have been many riders that threw saddlebags over the MT-07 and traveled all over the country. I might do it myself. I've been in extremely windy conditions on my mt-07 and have not been bothered.

When I was at the dealership to buy the 2023 Vulcan S, I saw an MT07 that made me double think my decision. I sat on both and the MT sat a little higher. Maybe I didn’t let the suspension compress enough but that’s basically the only reason to make me stick on getting the Vulcan S. As my first bike, I don’t regret it, but I know what my 2nd bike will. be. Thanks for the review man.

Ive always been a Yamaha fan & I DO want an MT07 but i currently have a '23 Vulcan S & im very happy with the performance. Even at 6' 2" & 250lbs it has plenty of get up & go grunt for a 650cc 😊

My wife and me love mt07s that much we bought one each. Just got back from a 3500km round trip a few weeks ago and both bikes were perfect. I cant recommend them high enough.

I'm real happy with the Vulcan s for a lot of those reasons, but leaning more towards the cruiser side

Well said fellow subscriber. Vids here are rather predictable with a narrow focus. I also mean no disrespect, but have a suggestion for Rick, if he chooses to accept the challenge; Binge on some BxD (another motovlogger) vids. He's a good example of spicing up things with totally unpredictable and sometimes crazy activities plus exploration missions or entire day trips, not just rehashing 'this vs this' or purely MC related topics for 10 minutes on every video. He shares thoughts on everything, like politics, women, history, health, metal detecting, and The Mystical Flute Man. His intro changes periodically. You get the drift. I believe more 'spice' and variety could easily take this channel to 500K subs quickly. Maybe 1 million. Sorry for the lengthy comment. 🏍

Personally, I think crusiers are not about comfort or long-distance touring or interstate miles. Their not even about a particular style or seating position or looking cool. I think the only trait consistent among crusiers is that they respond best to a relaxed riding style. I think that is why sportier riders have trouble understanding them. Crusiers, even fast crusiers, are by my definition antithetical to aggressive or sporty riding. You can do it, but unlike a zx6r, the more of a cruiser the bike is, the less it will appreciate being pushed. And a crusier won't beg you to do any more than occasionally twist the throttle a bit in a straight line, if that. I think MT07 leans in this direction compared to sportier upright naked bikes, but I wouldn't say it quite crosses the line of what I would consider a crusier. It's just capable of crusing in a way a v4 tuono isn't.

The MT07 is the first bike I had wanted to get… Well I ended up with a bobber out Honda Shadow and now I’m looking into a GSX-S750.😎👌🏾

I'll probably get a MT-07 for long distance driving... I've got a Honda Ruckus and a Vitacci Tank 200 and there's really nothing that beats them driving in the city and/town... I can put a large pizza on the foot area on my Ruckus and I have side bags on my Tank... I can carry all kinds of things on my scooters... You can't do that on a motorcycle...

Man I love how the 07’s sound but man you can’t go wrong with the mt10 lol definitely both great platforms for sure

I sold my F4i after 4 years, 30k miles, and a few track days. I loved that bike but my knees did not. Picked up an '07 FZ1N this past June and, after getting used to the wind blast, have been loving it AND staying comfy on longer rides!

Do you think you would ever get an H2?

Yes Naked Bikes cost less because they are Naked.. My 2016-FZ-07 was $7,400.00 out the Door. $400 less than a 2017 Mode and $400 less for being non ABS .. the MT-07 is ABS only.. Seems you said you put in aftermarket Fork Cartridges that is a must DO upgrade. I have more fun riding my 2008 Buell Ulysess XT .. It's supposed to be 103 HP I pretty much passed everyone I encounter on the Tail of the Dragon with my FZ-07.. I took the side cases Top Case ,, Tank Bag and Windscreen off when I set up my Tent at the Tail of the Dragon .. I even passed guys in Leather race suits with pucks on their knees and Elbows on Ducati's

The main factor and if a bike is a cruiser or a sport bike is the weight ratio from the rear tire to the front tire. A sport bike has more weight on the front tire

I know he has said he's pretty far from any track but I'd love to see him get to one. Heck, he could make a Bugout Moto video touring out to Cali for the Super Bike School. Makes you such a better rider and is so much fun!

My 883 sportster has ran 7.29 @98mph. My mt07 has run 8.40 @84mph. All runs at barona 1/8 mile track in lakeside California. I absolutely love both bikes but if I’m really feeling like a hooligan I hop on my sportster.

Is your sportster a 1200 by chance? I have a 2002 sportster that has the 1200 kit from Screamin Eagle and I always wanted to try it at the dragstrip. I own a Yamaha mt09 2021 and the 883r. Bro, you ONLY buy a Ducati to rip and go! The Dieval is Ducati's "Cruiser" bike, but at the same time it is Ducati's biggest in the "Monster" series. F those "Hardly" riders, you can't say HD and Ducati in the same sentence, that's disrespectful to Ducati. But, the MT-07 is a very sexy and punchy bike. My only gripe about my 21 MT (i'm sure you agree) is that the seat hurts your butt after a 2 hour ride. That seat is HARD as f*&k! but other than that....the MT-07 is a VERY fun bike to zip around in.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT get a superbike for the track, especially if you have never been to the track. It is a different animal and you could get messed up no matter how much gear you have on. Start little like a ninja 400 or that MT. You’ll see why one day if you start doing trackdays. I don’t mean any disrespect or anything, just giving you some good advice. Watch a little Motojitsu, he explains it pretty well in some of his videos.

I've looked into the MT07 and the R7. Purchasing the bike wouldn't be an issue, especially with the sub 10k price tag. I pulled up progressive and two other insurance companies and they tried quoting me well over 2k for the year. This bike for no reason at all other than the actions of other people, is nearly impossible for me (and im sure plenty of others) to afford because of this. Note that I do not have any traffic violations, have never been in an accident, and have never been given a reason to call my insurance company other than to change or cancel plans. I live in VA right off the border of West VA and am getting prices you'd expect to see in California. Sucks man.

Damn that's outrageous, I Insure 3 bikes, 2 HD's and the 22 MT07 full coverage for less than 1K per year

I would shop around more progressive quoted me a similar price for a 2016 fz07. I ended up going with allstate $600 per year and I have a speeding ticket and live in California

For the price of one American cruiser, you can own an MT07 AND a Japanese sport touring bike.

A C90 can be a cruiser if you put saddle bags on it.

Ride uptown more pls. Snow bunny count been too low

@@CycleCruza honestly I get that but I love seeing you interact with real people I’ve seen like hundreds of hours of you by your damn self and like maybe 10 minutes of you interacting with people so it’s always a fun change

The old Yamaha MT-01 sounds even better.

Exactly the MT07 is the best bike you can buy for the price. It does everything great. It's beyond me why people pay 20k+ for a cruiser. I get not everyone loves the look of the MT07. Still can't deny it's the most popular and most sold bike in the world. You could literally buy a MT07, buy new gear, upgraded exhaust, fender eliminator and many other mods and then pay for a years insurance and still pay less then buying a new cruiser.

I was about to pay 22k for a new Ducati Diavel 1260 S and then I took some time to think about what I could do on a MT-07 vs a Diavel 1260 S. There were many more pros to the MT-07 and everybody said they loved riding the MT-07. I'm so glad I got the MT-07 instead, For the price of the Ducati I could have bought TWO bikes! Way better value and more fun.

Coming from Yamaha guy I agree....but the KTM 690smcr is the same it's a do anything bike. It does it all

I can tell you why they buy a cruiser over one of these. I have a Harley Heritage 114 and I also have an FZ-07. If I'm going to take off for 200 miles or more there is no way I'm taking the Yamaha. Running to town cutting through traffic it's the 07 all day. These are totally different machines. Like asking why someone buys a high dollar truck over a sports car. They both have their strong points, but try getting 30 sheets of drywall with your Corvette. People are different and have different riding styles. Buy what makes you happy and just be glad they are on two wheels also. I like them all. I also have a YZ250X, a Suzuki DRZ400 SM, a Yamaha FJR 1300, and a Honda Goldwing.

Pick up a Yamaha Raider, most fun you’ll have for $5000. Until then I don’t want to hear how you already tried a cruiser without it being a proper V-Twin

That's an awesome bike with a lots of torque. But it is too heavy for CycleCruza. He can't handle anything over 400 lbs :)

Anything that is not a cruiser, destroys a cruiser.

A corvette does everything a Lamborghini or 911 can do but a corvette is still a Chevy.
