My little cousin(9) is an avid Brent Rivera fan. I’ve noticed she started acting different after she started watching his videos. She constantly talks about getting a boyfriend and told me that she was going to get me a boyfriend, today she talked about licking toes, she copies TikTok dances that he does(most of which are kinda weird for a 9 year old to be doing), and now she hides her iPad while she watches his videos. So obviously his content may be “targeted” for kids but from a kids point of view it feels like they’ll get in trouble for watching it. I think that Brent has to target his videos towards kids because older audiences wouldn’t watch his content because it’s simply cringy and honestly a little creepy. Kids are being used to make money off of low effort content and it really is only making negative changes. All I gotta say is do better, seriously.

@@evschroecki'm genuinely glad you were able to grow past it. i _guarantee_ most people did or will do the same. but, there's also concern for right now. regular exposure to behavior that goes unquestioned normalizes that behavior, good or bad. you grew up and went, "hold on, shane jokingly using the N word and pretending to want to fuck a little girl is actually super cringe," but other kids _acted on_ that normalized behavior before they got the chance to grow up. whether that means saying something offensive and hurting others, or falling victim to abuse because they don't immediately see the red flags. does that make sense? they've posted about it online. like, nobody is saying "watching brent rivera WILL make your 9-year-old freebase cocaine" lol, but it's easy to see how a kid learning "it can be normal and funny to pressure your sibling into doing a sexual pose or making out with somebody for your amusement" can create problems for them in the short term at least. and the commenter's cousin is hiding the content from other family members. hence looping in their adult role models.

As someone who is the younger sister of 3 brothers, I can say that this is EXTREMELY creepy. I would NEVER be comfortable having those kinds of questions asked to me from any of my brothers and I would NEVER EVER do yoga with them, ESPECIALLY poses like that! That is totally crossing boundaries that shouldn’t be crossed with ANY sibling or relative. He gives off mega creep that doesn’t know healthy boundaries vibes. Just makes me so uncomfortable to watch it. Also idk if I’m the only one who noticed this, but his sister also seemed pretty uncomfortable with the questions, and was faking smiles and laughs for the camera. I went back through, paying attention to his sister's expressions, and I think you're right. Especially on the question to his young cousin. Like her eyes go wide in horror. I went and found that video to see if there was more to her reaction, and am now suspicious that she did say something to him and that he cut it out. Because after the clip that Eddy shows here, there's a cut to them all holding their cards up already. I can only hope he hasn't done anything physically to any of them. I was thinking about why he does the overprotective brother thing, I think it's because he's trying too hard to portray the opposite of what he actually does, which is to sexually exploit his sister for views. If he portrays himself as meddlesome and judgmental in his sister's relationships, then it looks like he actually cares about protecting her, so he can turn around and do the exact opposite in practice

At the filming of this video, she was literally a child. It was already creepy enough, but that context just adds to the creep factor.

Friend says he'll do another Never Have I Ever if he can write all the questions. Brent proceeds to screw him over by saying "We're going to do all the questions I wrote instead". Brent proceeds to get noticeably angry when his friend slips a question into the hat anyway. Just amazes me he seemed to get really offended that someone would dare pull a fast one on him, but he went through with it anyway.

Agree. Even more than the sister stuff, I thought that was weird. I'm now in my 30s (probably older than everyone else watching) and never in my entire life have I initiated a conversation about anything sexual with my parents. When I hit puberty they gave me a book on puberty rather than having to talk to me about it. That's how things should be.

My sister and I are half siblings with different fathers, so we look extremely unalike from each other. That, coupled with the fact that we spend a lot of time together, and are very close, has made it increasingly common, as we've both become adults, to be mistaken for a couple. In a really weird way, it's almost complimentary, because it shows how good of a relationship we have as siblings, which is nice, because lots of siblings don't get along as well as we do. That being said, it's still very embarrassing and awkward when it happens. We're not a couple, it's not a cutesy, funny joke to tease at at or indulge, it's fuckin' weird, gross, and completely unnatural.

His sister says “oh that’s nice” when he answers he’s never fantasized about someone in the room, like that one was up in the air -_- Though I guess she could suspect him of fantasizing about her boyfriend
