@@susanbrown4419 It's better not to be born then to constantly live in the fear of going to eternal torment. Even if you accept Jesus you can still go to hell. Just look at what Jesus said himself.... "Not everyone that says Lord Lord....". There is no guarantee of salvation. It does seem that the Bible God wants strict obedience through fear. Right now as is I love God and everything he says I have to love because I don't want to go to hell forever. I guess it's better to live in fear then to live in torment..... It maybe it's the same. I just don't want to go to hell forever please.

I mean, I think his answer ultimately boiled down to "God predestines/punishes people eternally for his own glory." And that's profoundly evil. Why would anyone want a relationship with a God like that?

@mono man There's still the issue, though, that God predestines people from the start. None of us asked to exist. If we end up going to hell because God wanted to glorify himself, I don't see how that would be compatible with a God who is supposed to be "love."

Christine Vest I wouldn't use the word discouraging. I hate it when pastors try to explain hell. There is no explanation just as there is no explanation for heaven. When was the last time Queen Elizabeth went out to the streets and brought in strangers to come live with her in the mansion? When was the last time a sitting US president went to jail for a couple of days in order to prevent vulnerable people from going to jail or becoming executed. It is better to concentrate on the goodness of God rather than dwell on hell. Humans live in two dimensions but we are allowed to see one. The culmination of that which happens in the background which we cannot see now is the reason for hell.

You are asking a very important question, namely What is the point of it all? The bible gives you an extremely shocking answer - one that will make you wonder if God is a god of Love - until you sit down and think very, very carefully about it. _Romans 9:_ _22 What if God, intending to show His wrath and make His power known, bore with great patience the vessels of His wrath, prepared for destruction?_ _23 What if He did this to make the riches of His glory known to the vessels of His mercy, whom He prepared in advance for glory?_ _24even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles?_ But look at the previous verses: Romans 9: _17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”_ _18 So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills._ The key is this - God is sovereign and because mankind sinned, God is not bound by any prior commitment of so-called human "fairness" to save *_ANYONE!_* If you haven't already done so, think very, very carefully about this.

All he is doing is keep saying that people make their own choices and that God simply knows because he is omniscient. I specifically asked why God doesn't prevent the person's birth to prevent that suffering,ye he simply responded that because the person will be making the choice. It is flabbergasting how they do this.

My Pygmy mind sometimes feels great sadness for God. How lonely it must’ve been and boring. He did not want that same burden for all of us. Our suffering our struggles and then prevailing with his guidance and mentorship while growing and orienting ourselves to him is what makes existence fun and meaningful for both parties. He did not want to surround himself in perpetuity with automatons but with free willed beings that chose him and wanted him. This is done through our current existence a test that requires bad actors to make it interesting but also provide the trials and tribulations for those chosen few. That is my best attempt at answering that question friends.

Trillions burning for eternity seems like a very steep price to pay just to "escape boredom and make the test interesting." I'm not trying to be flip. I'm not accusing God of wrongdoing. I find it laughable when Christians want to convert non-believers to Christ and when asked the hard questions, pastors either dance around the answer or say because "He's God, He can do whatever He wants, and we don't question God." Yeah, that's reassuring. SMH. It's a journey to get to the point of having full faith in the Lord (for those who believe there's a higher power out there)...it doesn't happen overnight. @@trishamorris5097 Well, actually there is an answer - maybe just not in the normal human form we'd like to have. You are asking a very important question, namely What is the point of it all? The bible gives you an extremely shocking answer - one that will make you wonder if God is a god of Love - until you sit down and think very, very carefully about it. Romans 9: 22 What if God, intending to show His wrath and make His power known, bore with great patience the vessels of His wrath, prepared for destruction? 23 What if He did this to make the riches of His glory known to the vessels of His mercy, whom He prepared in advance for glory? 24even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles? But look at the previous verses: Romans 9: 17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” 18 So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills. The key is this - God is sovereign and because mankind sinned, God is not bound by any prior commitment of so-called human "fairness" to save *_ANYONE!_* If you haven't already done so, think very, very carefully about this.

"I felt quite sure the creature I was looking at was what we called good. But I wasn't sure whether I *liked* goodness so much as I'd once supposed. This is a very terrible experience. As long as the thing you're afraid of is evil, you may still hope that the good will come to your rescue. But suppose you struggle through to the good, and find it to be just as dreadful. How, if food turns out to be the very thing you can't eat, or home the very place you can't live, or your very Comforter the One Who makes you uncomfortable. Then, indeed, there is no rescue possible. The last card has been played." Not my own quote.

Aage152 this is the best answer I’ve come across. If God, our creator, who is all powerful gave us the right to CHOOSE our destiny, he may have taken away HIS OWN ABILITY to know our outcome. If HE is all powerful and all knowing he is fully capable of taking away HIS OWN ABILITY TO KNOW FOR SURE. This is arguable but this is a great answer. Thank you.

So God's default position, created the moment Adam sinned (which God somehow couldn't foretell), is that everyone goes to Hell and suffers for eternity. That was NOT his default position before Adam bit the apple? Now, because of the actions of one man, a very, very slim minority will escape this torment by accepting Christ as the true and only son of the Creator and in doing so all sins are pardoned. God already knows who will be saved and who will end up in eternal torment? I LOVE the Creator, but HOW can this be true of the the Heavenly Father? He knows how many hairs are on your head. He knew you before you were born, He knew the day you would be born, and He knows the day you will die. I LOVE Jesus, I love the Creator, I love the Holy Spirit. I welcome them all into my life, I accept that Jesus died to cover my many failings, but I do not welcome any Christian teacher who claims my Lord is capable of perpetrating such evil. Burning and perpetually torturing ignorant humans (intentionally designed imperfect by Himself), his very own children, is evil. I'm sorry; this is not acceptable on any level. To talk circles around this, twist words, and contort language to excuse this is outrageous. I pray to God He forgives me for holding fast to my belief that His love is more powerful than man's ignorant, corrupt interpretation of his holy word. I pray he forgives all Christians for believing this about Him.

In the Apocrypha God talks about separating himself the light in the darkness and placing the light as the greater thing in the darkness as the lesser thing. and he placed the light at the top, and the darkness at the bottom of the Earth.he chose for the good to rule and for the evil to be under its foot. Ultimately it’s about a relationship, not just believing in. We can believe in a lot of things, but how has your belief in God, in Jesus, in walking with the Holy Spirit changed who you are? Are you dying to your desires daily? Do you pray and seek the direction of the Holy Spirit? Are you a known sinner who repents and KNOWS you need a savior? Has Jesus become your savior? The Bible is clear that even the demons believed in Jesus. The demons knew Jesus’ voice… but until we have a fully surrendered heart, we aren’t truly saved from anything. I hope this makes sense? Helps a little? I don’t believe anyone who just believes in God, will go to Heaven. How do we live? Are we living for ourselves or for God? The Bible is so clear on this and gives us a beautiful guide on how to live ❤️ I really hopes this helps…

Even before humans were born, Satan did Not want to submit to God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit, but wanted to be a god himself; which takes in many forms, so God cast Satan out of heaven and he was destined for hell forever. So anyone who Does want to fully Surrender to God and believe in Christ who had to die for their sins as a perfect sinless sacrifice will be welcomed into heaven forever. Anyone that makes the "CHOICE" Not to submit to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are themselves "CHOOSING" to follow after Satan, the Anti-Christs, and the False Teachers in all kinds of churches/religeons will all go to hell with Satan.

I would suppose that many viewers would not think this answer to be satisfactory as it is, essentially : "Because God wanted to...He is sovereign...no debate...like it or not...oh, and, from God's perspective, He gives the person millions, literally millions, of very easy opportunities, during that person's lifetime, to repent and accept the FREE gift of salvation through Jesus, but the person repeatedly refuses. Hence, from God's perspective, which is the only perspective that matters, God is blameless for that person's ultimate destiny in hell."

He created us perfect and to go to heaven but he gave us free will. Adam and Eve cursed us when they disobeyed God , therefore God provided provision by sending Jesus to save those of us who became lovers of the truth and decided to repent of our sin and believe in his son. He didn’t create it to be this way. We chose it. But then he still sent Jesus to save us .That’s just what I think.

Those who go to hell are doing so based on their own accord anyway so God isn't to blame. I found the parable of the wheat and the tares to be EXTREMELY helpful when answering this question. (Matthew 13:27-30) In summary of this parable Jesus is saying if you take away all the tares (unbelievers/ evil doers ) from the field you might uproot the wheat ( believers/ those who will come to Christ) with them. Both grow together and even those who choose to reject Christ still in some way play a role in those people lives who will come to Christ.

What you're saying is a complete paradox. "Those who go to hell are doing so based on their own accord anyway so God isn't to blame." Perhaps a logical statement but it doesn't change the point, which is that God knows who will reject him and go to hell before they even come into existence. The question is, why bring a person into existence, even if the person has free will, God know what that person will do with their free will and ultimately where they will end up. Eternity is incomprehensible, a loving God (don't get me wrong, I do believe in God and believe he wants the best for all) who will "allow" a person to come into existence well knowing they will suffer endlessly forever and ever after death. Instead of the perfect answer I simply believe our minds will never be able to comprehend the true nature of this question. Like an ant, no matter what, will never comprehend why humans do what we do.

And they certainly didn't all believe the 'logic' in Romans 1:20, or at least, the rebel ones didn't. But most humans are born not knowing which god is real, or how many, so the 'attitude of rebellion' cannot relate to that. In short, yes, it is silly, somewhat.

Where is the free will, did the kid under age asked to be raped? And if God is omnipresent, seeing everything and he is everywhere was he just watching while the kid is getting raped? The omnipotent all powerful God ? Really?

Bruh this guy cant answer a simple question....First off god doesn't have the attribute of love, God IS love. In order for him to show his love (grace and mercy is the kind of love god has for us) he NEEDED to create sinners so he can show his grace and mercy. God wanted us to Love him and love by definition has to be freely given. He doesn't want robots worshipping him. The only way to achieve that is to also give ppl the ability to rebel against him. Also just because god knows your going to hell, it doesn't mean he forced you to sin. He only simply just knows. God is always knocking on the door of your heart with a free invitation for you to be with him in heaven. The question is, will you open the door and accept it? It would be unloving of god to force ppl to be with him in heaven against their free will. Also think about this.... Could he have logically made a universe where everybody would love him? Sure BUT that's not practical or reasonable with free creatures. Maybe he created a universe with the maximum amount of ppl saved and the minimal amount of ppl unsaved. Also I just want to say is that god has the absolute right to make this kind of universe just like we are able to make a lego set and destroy it anytime and in any fashion we want to. So he cant do anything wrong. God doesn't owe us anything. We are the ones who sin against him everyday. God made us in his IMAGE(soul and spirit) and LIKENESS(Our flesh) now its time to give the lord back what rightfully belongs to him.

Yes, that's what came to my mind also. Satan's will is for Christians to possess a prideful arrogance. It is disrespectful to God, to think that we could ever comprehend the reasoning of his will. You would have to think that you were equal to God, to be able to understand. Sound familiar? Prideful arrogance is an attribute of Satan...not Jesus.

I don't think that is true. I mean it takes the free will away from those that weren't created (although that doesn't make sense) but for those that are created that he knows will choose Him, they still have a "choice" but at least they aren't going to perish in hell for eternity because God knew that THEY would choose him in their own time before they died. Their free will would not be taken away.
