They are definitely learning the google model and implementing them quite effectively. In the last 5 years, they have spread their wings very fast. Google bhi toh yei krte hai.. Free me sab do aur uske usage data se apne saare products ko perfection pe le jao and then sell them to corporates and consumers as recurring license.

There is something called as maintenance. If you keep supporting your old and legacy softwares you need to pour in resources and money. It is rather much beneficial to focus on innovation and keep investing on latest technology and luring your customers to upgrade to latest software.

Well I think nothing wrong in this strategy. Every big tech is almost doing same. Get as much people as possible in the ecosystem and then make money from every additional essential service. But only exception is that the product has to be good enough to attract bigger audience.

Frankly, a company have to earn money from somewhere. So, either you pay for the windows up front or deal with the bloatware, buy apps etc later. Somehow you will have to pay. I prefer the current model where we get windows for free & choose to pay for the apps later.

I have worked in Support tier 3 in microsoft, and yes they help the corporate companies ,even few seniors of mine were helping NASA too ,premium support 500-1000$ per hour

Linux is reason for Microsoft launch windows 7 Ultimate. Android is beat window. Android or Linux is approximately fee of cost. Both are open source. If Microsoft wish to save ecosystem. So they need free operating system. So Microsoft provide free windows with Android software package.

Libre Office ek free office suite hai, MS-Office se bhi accha hai. Sirf advance feature jese ke VBA programming main MS accha hai nahi to I have Libre Office installed on my windows machine. Ismain XLSX, DOCX PPTX etc etc sabhi formats bhi support hotey hain. Bas user interface MS-Office 2007 jesa hai. Java main programmed office suit hai isliye halka sa slow hai MS Office se. MS Office C and C++ main program kara hua hai to wo naturally fast he hoga.

there are a lot of MS app alternatives these days - even for Office, Outlook, etc... Also, the pre-installed bloatware can be removed via a powershell script which will make your Windows OS lean and mean...

I purchased Microsoft Office 365 for family which cost me huge amount every year . Plus point is now I don't have to purchase license key for everyone in my home . 1TB one drive is also facilitated in this package. SO OVERALL GOOD EXPERIENCE 🙂

You will only notice slowness in your system but target system/website/Webservice will not be able to handle legit requests from legit customer because they are busy handling this attack which consume their computing capacity.

I think the major reson is what they did in past with windows phones. They know how Android completely wiped out windows phones and now Google chromeOs getting some limelight and Microsoft don't want the history to repeat itself. They are adapting to same business strategies using

MS has launched a Windows 365 product which is a VM in Azure cloud that is always updated. The cost for this is too high. No one wants to shell out thousnds of bucks each month just to access Windows. Mantra of todays computer market is democratization. With Linux operating systems presenting themselves as an alternative to almost every everyday office task, day by day it will be difficult for not just MS but any OS centric business to convince consumers on "Why" to buy their product ??? Whether it is Apple or MS they should democratize the access to their products and services. Apple has the long running strategy of always keeping itself a niche in the market at a very high price point. Although today market acknolwedges this niche speciality of Apple, eventually the larger audience, the majority of computer users will decide who leads the industry. Apple, MS, Google or any other business into OS centric business, needs to understand that being a niche is Not going to work all the time.

My windows 10 can't be updated to windows 11 due to processer as per updater i5 processor 8 gb ram and 4 gb nvidia graphics card 1 tb hard-disk

If in the late 90's we were using any Linux-based os, that was good for our pocket and surely much better than windows. But Microsoft allowed piracy on an individual level and make you habits of using window so now you prefer windows in business weather you or your company buy it.

It's going to be a headache to use Windows for professionals..Their app store will be as Cluttered as Google Play Store..

How did you say Windows 11 is free. I checked in amazon. Its home version is selling for Rs. 8k+. Please tell how to download for free.
