I think it is important to point out that retinoids and around eye area don't go well together as retinoids are irritating to thin skin but above all because they can permanently damage the eye glands.

You can but in different routines. Like use Vit C in your morning routine and retinol during the night. But if you're a beginner then start with one active at a time and let your skin get used to it. Otherwise it may compromise your skin barrier and therefore lead to breakouts and even increase your pigmentation. Don't forget to apply and reapply your sunscreen during the day!! Very important!

I have hyperpigmentation on my eyelids and under eye dark circles. It's a genetic thing as my mother also has it. Recently I've noticed fine lines have also started appearing under my eyes. I'm 23 years old and my skin type is dry. I've also never used any serums or actives before. Can you please suggest me what to do? I'm so confused.

I have hyperpigmentation and melasma. I went to a specialist Dermatologist...She gives me some capsules for the inner treatment and creams 1. Kojiglo Forte 2. Mela glow And I used Aleo vera with a vitamin E capsule every night, keep for 15 minutes and wash off, And again, I used Ordinary Niacinamide Serum...it works wonders. Now my melasma disappeared from my check and my nostrils... I understand you guys, so I spent my time writing this for you..... Or you can visit Dermatology...that's the best advice, And lastly, don't forget to wear Sunscreen whether you are inside or outside...used at least 50+ sunblock

Add hyaluronic acid in you skincare. Use aloe vera gel (plum, wow) for dard circles.

For serum you can go for Minimalist 2% Salicylic acid but just remember firstbuse the serum once weekly and slowly build it up. It will definitely remove your bumps which did to me.

Pl avoid the pilgrim retinol serum, especially if u have sensitive skin.. its a complete put off. I have used it personally and found it a total blunder on my skin

Hey shriya....1%retinol is too much for beginner Start with lower concentration like 0.1-0.5 Try Pure bubbles retinol or deconstruct retinol serum.

try adapalene gel 0.1% I had the same issue and whenever i get any small bumps or too much texture, I use that. It honestly works like magic, use pea sized amount on the affected area and let it stay overnight
