Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

Have u ever thought about growing shiitake mushrooms 🍄? All u need to do is inoculate the logs with the mycelium and wait for 8 months, the chestnut logs are amazing for it.
When I was young woman in my 30s I had to split wood by hand for eight years to keep warm all winter. It was good exercise but watching this machine makes me cry. I sure could have used it. You have such good equipment you’re so lucky you can afford it. After 8 years of wood cutting, splitting, stacking, carrying I bought a house without a fireplace! I Miss it but don’t miss it!😂❤

There are manual splitters similar to his, not many people know of their existence😊 It’s easier than splitting by axe, you need to apply less force.

❤much love and I enjoy splitting wood but eight years? Oh no 😮
You always choose relaxing and calming music, its beautiful. Your editing is fantastic, you do not keep the music on when either of you are talking so your voices come over so nice and clear which is very thoughtful. Its great to see you both so happy and good to see Bea looking so healthy. Thank you for your lovely episodes every week.
I loved the song used during the chipping. I live in Appalachia in North Carolina. I also lived out west for awhile and couldn’t wait to get back to the Appalachians. I completely understand that you have priorities that the outside world wouldn’t understand. You have a huge property for 2 people to manage. You’re doing amazing things.
Be a ,you look so much better in the sun ,and your smile !!! ...how do you feel ? So happy to see you like that warm hugs ...Annie
Those beautiful rounds of chestnut would make beautiful side tables.

So happy to see the two of you together! Bea you are looking great! Theo you can see the calmness In you with Bea back!
Make two stools for your cabin. That is beautiful wood. Both of you are so talented and hard working. It’s a joy to watch your videos ❤
That large trunk at 13:30 would make a lovely side table.
Those two cookies you cut from the fallen chestnut tree would make a nice multi tier table.
One of the last vivid memory I have working with my dad is using the log splitter cutting wood for the winter. Thank you for the great videos.

The chipper and wood splitter are epic!
I love that you wear eye protection-you are using your body as a machine and are taking care of it!
Very interesting to see how all your tools make your work easier. Also nice to see Bea out with the animals! You know how to manage your property.

love the chestnut rounds if you cut each on half you could make two cutting boards or one cutting board and one lap table (for a laptop or maybe breakfast in bed 🤷♀️) and two end tables with the other one
Hello Theo and Bee, love your passion for the land, environment and your properties.❤️ Having watched your journeys for several years, must say I believe your instincts are pretty good so of course congratulations and well done on all the projects we have been privileged to share with you through your Videos👍🏻👏🏻🙏🏻. Theo as much as I love watching you saw things up, I just found out I can press on my mouse button to speed up your video, actually made me laugh. We have wild Boar here to in Italy. Haven't come into my yard. Too much land around us for them to explore!
It's a great watch as you prep the land. Keeper of the land, you own. Wonderful ❤

I live my land owning/management dreams through you guys, so thank you for all the wonderful videos. I especially love these videos with jobs about the property and animal updates. So satisfying seeing you tidy up the dead trees, using the chipper and the splitter. Can’t believe how much wood you got out of it!! Also love the music choices. Great video as always ❤

Nice projects, good to see you two with your chores. Theo you have some very good forest management projects on the land and fulfilling your desire as a young boy! just so perfect~
Understand your opening comment. Being a caretaker of your property is the ability to evaluate and take care of the areas that are more pressing. I only care for 1.5 acres but there is always work to do inside and out. That doesn't include general daily things like clean, cook, laundry. And there is always weather to work around. Looking forward to future videos.
Pond Sealer BENTONITE, just sprinkle it in the water and it will find and seal the gaps. Bentonite can be applied directly to the soil in the pond bottom or it can be sprinkled on the surface of the water and allowed to settle to the bottom.
Furniture for your little cabin!!!
Bee is so glad to see you so alive and well, good job Theo, you two are amazing people, God bless
The chestnut would make beautiful tables and BBQ chairs
Theo , you are really well equipped with a small scale machine but still well equipped.❤💯👍
Ur a man of many talents Theo... thank you for amazing videos. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪 ☘️ 😀
Absolutely for the chopping board! And I also love thin slices of wood as decoration on the wall
Great forestry Theo. Bee you look after the animals so well. 💚
I just love how Bee names her chickens and talks about them like they’re people. I thought I was the only weird person who thinks of chicken as pets.

All my animals are part of the family, they have names and personalities. Even birthdays are remembered if known!
the two round pieces remind me of a coffee table my brother gave me when I got my first apt. The little round ones could be like the end tables that went with my coffee table. Quite an easy craft project for you creative two. lol
Theo, I so admire your work ethic. My husband always said, it's better to wear out than rust out. Won't be any rust on you.
So much beautifull job, do not forget those weels for that decoration ,,
I immediately thought stools for those cookies, think they are really nice.
Love your videos and enjoy watching them. May the lord bless and protect you and Bea and Miracle Mountain and doing clean up from the wind
That was an old chestnut tree. How beautiful those smaller pieces will smell burning in the fire. Love the idea of furniture from those rounds. Put them in your online store, and they can raise funds for more ❤
We have an electric log splitter. Best thing we ever bought.
It’s good to leave some piles of sticks for wildlife, and they can look good if they’re neat piles.
Just as you should! I came from the mountains everything was done by the seasons. Big hugs you guys, keep on trucking!
Those chesnut disks would make lovely seats ❤ the channel
Thank You for sharing this!❤
What an awesome Log Splitter you have Theo, that amount in 30 minutes would have taken hours by hand. Thanks for the updates ❤️💙
Greetings from Brandenburg 🇩🇪🍺🍺👍
Chestnut wood is beautiful, I’ve never seen any.
🎵 "To every thing, there is a season" 🎶 Theo, chestnut is very resistant to rot, so your 'cookies' could also be useful in the garden, as stepping stones, garden bed edging, maybe steps on some of your slopes...even little patio tables? Winemakers around here use it for stakes and fence posts. It is also highly recommended for building and furniture, as it's so durable. Your splitter and chipper are going to make short work of all that wood. It's a delight to see you both enjoying your work. I hope as the seasons pass, you will take some closeups of your wild plants and mushrooms (from above and below) for ID. I'm so curious to know what grows in your area! Surely you have some lovely treats to enjoy (and some to avoid!); they could be a fun thing to learn about. When I first arrived in France, I made my garden, and was constantly pulling out weeds - now I love to eat them! Next weekend I'll lead my annual Wild Salad Walk, and am really looking forward to seeing what this year's location will have to offer.
I also cannot wait to see you build things again!
Thank goodness for all your equipment!
Have good time, and wish good health to Bee
Love your channel, I look forward to seeing you both every week. The chestnut cookies could be nice stool seats or maybe end table tops?

Theo, I'd love to see you make those two chestnut 'cookies' into little side tables with tripod legs. Think they would look amazing 😊
The chestnut tree would make beautiful end tables or cutting boards! Theo youre doing an awesome job on the property!
Both looking great , can't wait till you start on the build, good luck
Those round thinks are amazing ,you can really used them for food put on choping boards or just put candles on and decoreted them as rustic stuff i will have milons ideas to used them gorgeous wood ,
Cuanto facilitan el trabajo las maquinas !! Me alegro mucho ver a Bee tan bien!! Me encantan vuestros videos!!!!
Theo you should have put down a tapt to collect all that shavings from the wood chipped it's good for mulch for a garden
I'm really glad to see the smarter not harder and that you are both looking after yourselves and each other. Too many people take doing things to an extreme as a positive. It's unrealistic and not sustainable. You both work hard but also understand your limits and (mostly...I'm looking at you and your back Theo) working within them. 🫶

Theo, what a great video! I loved driving with you to your work site. There are so many different places to discover. The rounds you cut might be ideal for the new cabin. Great to see Furnando on patrol and all the other animals with Bea. It’s so good to see you happy and in your element. ❤
If you have a lot of the rounds, they make really cute "stepping stones" or when put close together, walk ways
Great video as always guys! I think the splitter was a sound investment with all the trees on your property...money well spent. Not sure how 'into' cake you are, but I used to make natural looking cake stands for my customers with two cookies like that and a branch in between the two.
Love your machinery, makes easy work of everything. Nothing wasted 😀
Everyone always thinks there the expert on the internet 🙄 you're doing great Theo and Bee, ignore the nutters who think they know more than you xxx
I’m going to say that the farmhouse renovation will take awhile. And a bit of planning. So take your time with that project. Your lovely land will always always benefit from care and attention. It’s all about infrastructure. And like I said before, pitch a tent in that old stone structure. People will come. ❤️
I really like seeing all the progress you two are making. Those machines you have surely make the work easier and more efficient. It’s always a treat to see Sr. Fernando. Best Of Luck!

Theo you are SO methodical just love your knowledge of the Land & the management plus doing what you love to do! Bee you love growing plants which is therapeutic of course & your goats & chickens are like pets! That tree was very old given the rings? I hope you make something with cedar logs Theo? ❤️🇦🇺🐨🌞
