Why We Travel Turkey (NOT WHAT YOU THINK)

Join on us on our last day in Cappadocia before we continue on our road trip around Turkey. We watch the hot air balloon show from the ground, take a pottery making class and then explore the valley through a jeep safari tour. Cappadocia has so much to offer with its history and beautiful landscapes, but its nothing compared to the kindness of the Turkish people and Turkish hospitality.

Hi! We are Heather, Bradey, Alexa and Chloe.
We are raising our kids to face their fears, to step outside of their comfort zones and to try new things. Family travel is the best way we know how to do this.
We want to inspire others to travel with an open mind and to see that it is completely possible to travel and fly with kids! Traveling is one of the best things we have ever done to strengthen our family, and to open up our minds about how big this world is.
Thanks for following along!

As someone who's parents moved to turkey when I was 2 (I'm 17 now) and who loves to go travelling every summer, turkey really is amazing, everyone is so hospitable and kind!!! It's amazing how large their hearts are, you'll visit someones house and they'll treat you like royalty which I've never seen in any other country that I've been to (been to 63). The media gives turkey a terrible reputation and as you said (21:36) it stops people from travelling places and experiencing it for themselves. It's amazing to see another family who takes their kids travelling, and from experience it shows them so many other cultures at such a young age and it gives them just so many new experiences that not many others have. I can't wait to see where you go in the future!!!

You cant even imagine things I heard all those years here like for example one of my wife's coworker had told her go get vaccinated before going to Turkey (before covid) or another one I heard from a lady that she said her daughter went to Turkey and ppl were getting executed in the street these are just some of them. I always read in the comment sections how peoples mind change about Turkey after watching these videos. I am from Turkey and I can't tell you how much preconceived judgement opinions I receieved from ppl when I traveled and lived in Europe and Latin America. I always explained to everyone with patience and kindness about my culture but I really hope people can stop having opinions about any country place or culture without actually living or traveling there. That is just a behavior pattern born out of fear. As humanity at the age of technology globalization I hope we can become more enlightened and more positive and not expecting the worst just because we are different in some ways from each other.

One of my hobbies is meticulously planning travel itineraries I can't afford 😂. But a Turkey road trip has now stolen the top spot of my travel destination wish list after not really being somewhere I'd considered previously, and hopefully I will get to do it with my children in the next year or two after Covid travel restrictions relax. no.. i don't think the hair is tangled. In Turkish it is difficult to speak in c colloquial language.be pronounced with ç.you know, there is no ç in English.I think they got too accustomed😉Ç is a Turkish letter and it only exists in the Turkish alphabet. It is not a mistake to say "hair".And many words can have different meanings in the same spelling and pronunciation.Love...

I enjoy your authentic joy in experiencing these places. For someone like me I have to calculate the difficulty in finding safe gluten free dietary food (I usually self-cater) but experiencing unusual locals like Mardin are so enriching too. If you do decide to do some sort of tours around Mardin area (not foodie :P) let me know. I also used to do family videos (without KZread) when my kids were little, so quite enjoy the family focus. Kids experience things so naturally, so it's fun to watch.

I am happy that you show your audience that Turkey is not just about Istanbul. And We Turks love to share so much. It is very important to be hospitable in the Turkish culture. Even if you are not hungry, we definitely offer you food, tea ,coffee etc. Someone who comes to Turkey does not be hungry or homeless. :) By the way,i came across your channel in this morning. I watched your Turkey videos in one go. I noticed that you also pay for your daughters while taking the public transport in Istanbul. Keep in mind, Children get on the public transport for free up to the age of 7 in Turkey. I will eagerly await your new videos. have good journeys and discoveries.Greetingsss from İstanbul to you and your beautiful girlssss (I strongly recommend you to visit the Black Sea region of the North of Turkey. It has a wonderful nature. Especially Rize, Trabzon, Artvin are the cities you should definitely visit. The greenest region of Turkey.)

So you deserve every goodness and kindness in Turkey indeed. In addition foreigners more lucky than locals. The other point is being symphathic/cute like your family pulls concern/humanity of Turkish people.
