I'm a US Marine Corps veteran. I understand about the pride of serving your country. I've been a sub of yours for about 6 months. It wasn't until very recently that I saw Jeremy's video explaining his military discharge. AND your miscarriages. I had no idea. WOW! Screw everyone that has something negative to say. Your 100% right until you walk in someone's shoe you have no idea what they go through. Good for you keep your head up keep your family in my prayers.

I too am a recent subscriber and I'm so sorry Jeremy is suffering with colon issues. My hubby is retired US Navy Chief and he suffered many years while in the navy with colitis an autoimmune disease until a few years before retirement he got the surgeries scheduled as part A and part B. Had his whole colon removed and was expecting to have to wear the bag for months after surgery in order for healing to occur prior to Part B. However when he woke from part A surgery the doctors were able to perform an Ileoanal anastomosis by using his small intestines to build him a J pouch, that to this day functions exceptionally well with no issues. No more pain or any food issues except for onions he just can't handle. Not long after, he was medically approved for duty and deployed to the Mediterranean. Much success to you guys in finding your home to be. Homesteading is a lifestyle and the nice thing about it is you can take the parts of it that fit well with your lives and still enjoy the fruits of it with or without a grid. As soon as the stress is minimized your lives will improve in measure. There is a bright 2020 ahead...I just know it.

Good luck, seriously hope everything comes together for both of you. I am 70 years old and have been struggling with side effects from colon cancer and Parkinson’s disease for 12 years now. Take care of your family. There are a lot more of us who wish you good than have sick minds and want to be obscene or I told you so Individuals. Wisdom begins when you realize that you have a problem and you need to change. You are not quitting but adjusting to a better life. As a reserves who was denied the right to continue with the military I do understand and wish you the best in the journey.

I wish you the best. My young son had his colon removed a couple of months ago. I’ve battled UC for 2 decades now but nothing prepared me to watch a loved one go through it. Thank you for making this video. Knowing I’m not completely weak for having a difficult time helps.

Praying for y'all... we moved over 3 years ago as well and everything is 1.5 to 3.5 hours from us, so we know how hard it is for y'all. I also lost my colon and have dealt with the life changing almost death as Jeremy, still dealing with all the medical issues... Y'all've done a fantastic job and it's your journey... no one has a right to diss you for what y'all did and are doing! I'm so proud of y'all, and thank you for taking us on this journey with you.. You do what's best for you as individuals and as a couple. I made the mistake of moving out into a country area with a chronically sick child and realised when I was dashing down Icy roads to get her to the hospital one night in an emergency that it had been a very bad idea. So I'm no-one to judge. ❤

absolutely. You have to do what you can for your family.

I can understand and relate. Due to cancer, I too am missing an original part of me, and due to slowly losing my vision I was forced to retire after 32 years at the same job and my wife and I have also suffered through multiple miscarriages! So you do what’s best for Jeremy, Ashley and Sam and to hell with anyone who says otherwise. I love watching you guys and will continue to do so. God bless your family. ❤️

I live with only a small part of my colon. It is very difficult!!!!!!! I applaud you and your family. You are doing the sensible thing by being closer to your doctor and family. Off grid challenges are sometimes hard. However the freedom is worth every effort to maintain.

I too am disabled. So I totally understand. It’s a new life. You say goodbye to every thing you plan in a career. I had to stop working nine years ago. I was in my forties. My husband has helped me so much. We have a homestead but have not lived on it. Just visit. Would love to have it set up to go for a week at a time. It’s on a river. So it’s a popular boating area. We are living closer to a large city because of doctors. And my husband is working. He’s studying to open his own company. After working as an electrician for 28 years we could see that his health was failing. After I lost my health I sure didn’t want my husband to experience that. I have a rare form of psoriatic arthritis. Called mutalins. I under what happened to your husband. My father is dealing with that. Hoping you enjoy your new journey. God bless, Leslye
