I have owned a r107 r129 r230 and r231 . I only kept the r129 . It is my opinion the perfect balance between use ability and technology.

The hardtops of these SL's made them so much more usable year round than new cloth roof SL's. Especially the glass roofs.

frist time id rove it i fell in love with it . on pictures and old top gear videos it is huge, but in reality it is actualy normal size . waht do you think about cl140 ?

@@snggarageeng CL140 is S-Class size which is heavier than I want. Not a convertible either. Still a tremendously luxurious experience.

❤ my 2008 Mars Red SL550 put most cars to shame,,, looks, class, speed over 155 mph,,

Plus , you have to use and drive the cars, the more they sit the more expense the more they cost to keep up.

Got a SL500 R129 M113 and the R230 SL600. R230 for me, when working correctly 😂👍🏼

I have a 98 V12 and a 00 V8 and would never consider an SL or any other Mercedes during the Daimler/Chrapler years.

@@snggarageeng 70k on the 8, less than 101 on the 12.

I've owned the both and the r230 is definitely a better car The quality isn't the same '90s versus 2000s but The roof operates fabulously and there's some decent power and once you get the coilover repair the suspension is eliminated

what engine you had ?

I Went with his hiro Coil overs.. Just just replace these struts and have the liquid drain out of it I didn't worry about the rest of that abc system and I'll tell you something it's a little bit faster and it handles much better! .. The difference in the ride I can't remember it it's where the market really small,, Do not get the old man's mode I think you will be disappointed I drive it at the sport mode and the difference is just negligible.. Race cars require sway bars I didn't notice it in my driving time... I wonder whether the cell value will go up I doubt it?

R230 is the best in 2008

I've had I've heard some ugly things about the SL55 Don't get me wrong I must be demon But this is too fast I'm happy with my R230
