Prayer for protection before sleeping… our spirits are vulnerable.

We should always keep the true teachers of the gospel in our prayers. I am a Christian and never thought I would be listening to a Rabbi. He loves Jesus so much and everyone can learn from his example. We also need to pray for the people who hate us. They need Jesus as much as we do. As we , followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we are set apart from the world. To love the unlovable. To have mercy on those who show no mercy. Jesus should always be our example.

I never knew about this man of God before I heard about the unfortunate happening in the news. Hearing him speak, I see why the enemy (not flesh and blood) came after him. And that is a reason to rejoyce in the spiritual realm. Not the natural ofcourse..I wish it upon noone and I pray this dear man of God is quickly healed, as he will be.🙏🏻 He has a lot of work to do in the world today for the Kingdom. The love for the Lord is almost tangible and I feel thankful to listen to him speak. The Lord is so great, He turns that which was meant for evil into an even greater good. The Church is not a building, but is the Body of Christ - a community of believers gathered in Him, to show reverence & love for Him (worship), & love & care for one another. Church is the visible Christ on earth: we're His mouth, hands & feet. ❤Church is a HOSPITAL to heal those who are 'spiritually sick'; if everyone is perfect, there won't be any need for a church & no need for God to become a man (Jesus) to die for our sins!

Seeking validation is one big issue this generation. The government raises us as people pleasers and slaves. Yes. In Jesus' conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4:21-24), Jesus said it's not the place of worship (ie temple or church) which matters to God; but what matters to Him is we WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT & IN TRUTH.

Correct me if I am wrong, but according to Orthodoxy, we go to church to be alone in the presence of God, and to worship, among the other things His Holiness has described.

Keeping Fasting a Secret, and yet must not overburden someone serving meat on a Friday by saying I am abstaining because it's a Friday. Just accept whatever is set in front of you, and offer it up in secret as a Sacrifice, and pray for that person. In the Rule of Carmel, it's stated that we must not overburden the Host/Hostess.

Is it really okay to do fasting in secret? My parents wants to know why I'm not eating / what are the things I'm doing. Parents should also respect their children that there are some things they'll not know, why is it that it seems they want to know EVERYTHING? How will they learn if they're not given free space and freedom to do such Christian deeds without them having to know?

I'm a little sad. I missed the part why go to church when you don't know what church to trust in this day and age... that has been a burning question for so long... Can anybody help me with that... Right now I follow sermons from this channel or learn new things through youtube christian speakers and I'm learning a lot. But the question keeps burning, because I see it everywhere that people are saying I should go to church. So should I go to a church and why? In the past I went to church, even went to different churches. But all of them either talked about money.... kept the Bible closed.... had their own book made to more or less replace the Bible.... or required money (monthly stipened) etc. I've been done with "churches" ever since. During Covid some people continued to go to church and seemed to me to be judgemental to those who didn't and to those who took it serious, which gave me even more reason to distance myself from churches. So that's a little background from my part.

Why we have to go to church. But which church? If you don't choose the right church, is just as bad as choosing to wrong religion.?

No. Jesus went to church during his earthly life - the church is called synagogue & temple during his time. Jesus was a Jew, & Jews gather in the synagogue to listen to scripture reading, to pray & worship God.

Why doesn’t the title don’t match the sermon?

We need to attend church because if you are home the tithe basket won’t pass in front of you. The church needs your 10%. This is why they need you in church every Sunday. Fact!
