Water cant be oily, because oil qnd water don't mix. Water can have oil next to it, like my sister can have me next to her (if she would hopefully like soon), but water can't be oily. Your beverage can, if it has oil in it, but that has nothing to do with water.

@@itz_benjamin soda usually has a high water content though, so that might not be the best analogy. Most liquids have water content in them - milk, blood etc. However, every ELEMENT has a freezing and melting point - so you could have blocks of frozen mercury

You're half right. Fire is not burnt, fire is burning. To say fire is burnt uses the present word, is, and the past adjective, burnt, the two words conflict because something can't be in the present and past at the same time. So changing burnt to it's present form, burning, makes the sentence valid.

The Painted Panda well technically the sentence “the fire is burning” is incomplete, as it is missing the object that it is burning “the fire is burning out” on the other hand isn’t the same usage as the verb to burn, because in that case it can also be said as “the fire is tiring itself out” or “the fire is weakening.” and I’m pretty sure you don’t see people point over to a burning TV and say “damn. that TV is weakening” or point over to a burning oven and say “oh that oven is just tired”

Actually, if you go by the definition of wet, being covered by a liquid, it would prove that 1 molecule of H2O is not wet. However, cover that molecule of water with mroe water molecules, it makes it wet. Making water have the ability to be dry, but since 99% of the time, we never see just 1 molecule of water, water would be wet.

"Wet" is a comparison to "dry". If something is wet, it can also be dry. Water as a liquid cannot be dry, therefore, it also cannot be wet.

I have one argument against the “Water Is Not Wet” debate that may qualify as an answer to it. In the prequel to this video, Chaz poured water onto a dry surface, a flat countertop. The countertop became wet, no arguments there. However, look at the water on the countertop from a different angle (as close to a 90 degree angle as possible). The definition of wet reads “covered or saturated with water or another liquid”. If you look at the water from as close to a 90 degree angle as possible, and if water was truly not wet following this definition, then it would either be a dimensionless object, meaning we wouldn’t be able to see it, or we’d only be able to see it with the aid of a microscope or intensely powerful magnifying glass. All molecules have size, and in a liquid state of matter, separate water molecules do not cluster together the same way materials in solid forms do, but because the surface is uninterrupted, and there is no force other than gravity acting on the water on the countertop, gravity pushes the water molecules down, while the countertop surface pushes back up onto the water molecules closest to it equal to the amount of force that gravity exerts on it to prevent it from moving. While the water is not acted upon by an outside force other than gravity, you can see that it has a very small (BUT VISIBLY PRESENT) three dimensional surface area, which means that water molecules can, in theory, cover other water molecules. Therefore, water is wet.
